Immunorecognition of estrogen and androgen receptors in the brain and thoracic ganglion mass of mud crab, Scylla paramamosain

The brain and the thoracic ganglion of crustacean can synthesize and secrete gonad-stimulating hormone (GSH) which stimulates the maturation of gonad. In the previous experiments, sex steroid hormones (estradiol, testosterone, progesterone, etc.) have been detected from crustacean. However, the feedback regulation of sex steroid hormones on the brain and thoracic ganglion of crustacean has not been reported so far. In the present experiment, monoclonal antibodies were applied to investigate the immunorecognition of estrogen receptor (ER) and androgen receptor (AR) in the brain and thoracic ganglion mass of Scylla paramamosain. The results showed that the distribution of the immunopositive substances of ER and AR was extremely similar. They distributed in the protocerebrum, deutocerebrum and tritocerebrum of the brain, and mainly in protocerebrum. In the thoracic ganglion mass, immunopositive substances distributed in the subesophageal ganglion, thoracic ganglion and abdomen ganglion, and mostly in subesophageal ganglion. Immunopositive substances of ER and AR mostly existed in the cytoplasm of neurons. The present study will provide morphological evidence for the origin and evolution of ER and AR. In addition, the immunoreactivities of ER and AR suggested that the estrogen and androgen may be involved in the feedback regulation of crustacean neuroendocrine.     

应用聚类分析法划分重庆玉米种植区研究

应用聚类分析法,根据重庆市2006年和2007年2年共19个点次试验、13个玉米单交种的产量和株高性状表现,将重庆市的玉米种植区划分为6类.第1类包括丰都、涪陵、长寿、南川、潼南;第2类为合川;第3类为江津;第4类为万州,第5类为酉阳;第6类为黔江.其分类结果与按地理位置分类结果基本一致,说明根据玉米自身的重要性状表现,应用聚类分析法进行种植区划是一种经济、实用、准确的方法,可为玉米生产,引种和区域试验提供科学依据.     

苏云金芽孢杆菌(Bacillus thuringiensis)感染菜青虫(Pieris rapae)幼虫的组织病理研究

本文从大体观察、显微观察和超微结构等方面对感染苏云金芽孢杆菌后的菜青虫幼虫进行了组织病理学研究。菜青虫在摄入苏云金芽孢杆菌后立即停食,30分钟后就在中肠上皮细胞中发现线粒体的脊内空间扩大、粗面内质网局部膨胀,微绒毛开始膨大并部分溶解。感染后1—2小时可见中肠上皮细胞靠近微绒毛一方出现较大的空泡,线粒体的空间进一步扩大,内质网的网膜慢慢分离。到第4小时,中肠上皮细胞的病变加剧,显微镜下看到细胞开始解体,电镜观察到线粒体开始破裂,内质网膜糊断裂。以后细胞迅速解体,到第8小时仅存基底膜,但其它组织基本完整。第10小时以后,观察到基底膜开始破裂,细菌进人血腔.脂肪体肌肉等组织均遭破坏,此时幼虫中部渐渐变黑,下痢并开始死亡。

Disadvantages of acid precipitation of proteins during the assay of blood glucose by the enzymatic glucose oxidase-peroxidase system]

In the enzymatic procedure for blood sugar by means of glucose oxidase, acid protein precipitation of blood by perchloric acid or trichloracetic acid liberated oxidizing substances, which enhanced the coloration density in oxidizing the reduced chromogen of the reaction mixture, independently of the hydrogen peroxide generated from glucose, and would give false high values of glycemia, if additional precautions had not been taken. These substances, increasing considerably with times and temperature of blood conservation, would be of peroxide nature, and would accumulate in red blood cells during their exposure to air.
