Insoluble zinc-precipitated phosphomonoesterase from rat kidney

Summary The insoluble form of phosphomonoesterase precipitated by means of Zn²⁺-ions was prepared from the partially purified extract of rat kidney. The freeze-dried preparation of the precipitated enzyme is highly active and is stable on heating at 100°C.     

Polymethylcyclohexylamine — neue,hypotensiv wirksame substanzen

Summary A series of cyclohexylamine derivatives methylated both on nitrogen atom and in position 1, 2 and 6 of the cyclohexane ring have been prepared. Some of them showed considerable hypotensive and ganglioplegic activity. The most interesting compound is N,N,1,2,2-pentamethylcyclohexylamine (‘penhexamine’) whose activity compares favourably with mecamylamine or dimecamine.

Aktivität einiger Transaminasen in den mit SO2 behandelten Erbsen-Keimpflanzen

Summary Fifteen-day-old green pea seedlings were intoxicated 48 h by 1% gaseous sulphur dioxide and in their individual organs the activity of glutamate-oxalacetate (l-aspartate: 2-ketoglutarate-aminotransferase) and aspartate-pyruvate (l-alanine: oxalacetate-aminotransferase) transaminases estimated. The activity of glutamate-oxalacetate transaminase in the intoxicated seedlings was lowered in shoots by 77.8% and in roots by 78,9% as compared with the control plants. The activity of aspartate-pyruvate transaminase was lowered in shoots by 33.5%, in roots by 76% and in cotyledons by 54.5% in comparison with the control plants.     

The effect of drugs inhibiting the uptake of biogenic amines on adrenalin induced platelet aggregation

Zusammenfassung Anti-Depressiva vom Imipramin-Typ, die die Aufnahme der biogenen Amine blockieren, hemmen auch gleichzeitig die durch Adrenalin bewirkte Thrombozyten-Aggregation. Dieser Befund unterstützt die Theorie des Mechanismus der Thrombozyten-Aggregation durch Adrenalin: Adrenalin dringt in die Zellen ein und setzt ATP aus den Thrombozyten frei, das sofort in ADP — den eigentlichen Aggregationsfaktor — umgewandelt wird.     

Extraprimary cortical evoked potentials in freely moving cat following photic stimulation

Zusammenfassung Die extraprimären optischen Potentiale, die in der somatosensorischen, akustischen und Assoziationsrinde der wachen Katzen mittels chronischer epiduraler Elektroden registriert wurden, zeigen fast dieselbe Latenz wie die primären Potentiale, unterscheiden sich aber von ihnen durch ihre Form.     

Succinoxidase activity of mitochondria isolated from the liver of rats after partial hepatectomy and hypophysectomy

Zusammenfassung Bei den 24 und 48 h nach partieller Hepatektomie (Resektion von 65–70% der Leber) aus der Rattenleber isolierten Mitochondrien wurde eine Abnahme der sukzinoxydaseaktivität beobachtet. Dasselbe wurde auch bei Ratten beobachtet, bei welchen gleichzeitig mit der partiellen Hepatektomie eine Hypophysektomie durchgeführt wurde. Die Veränderung der Sukzinoxydaseaktivität ist nicht auf eine Erniedrigung der Mitochondrienzahl pro Gewichtseinheit Leber zurückzuführen.     

Viscosity changes of synovia after application of water treated with ultrasound

Zusammenfassung Nach Applikation von beschalltem Wasser wurde infolge physikochemischer Degradation der Polysaccharide ein Viskositätsabfall der Synovia nachgewiesen.

Zusammenfassung [4-Prolin, 8-Isoleucin]-Oxytocin und [4-Leucin, 8-Isoleucin]-Oxytocin wurden als mögliche Glieder in der entwicklungsgeschichtlichen Reihe der Neurohypophysenhormone synthetisiert und pharmakologisch geprüft.
