ASYMPTOTIC NORMALITY OF SOME ESTIMATORS IN A FIXED-DESIGN SEMIPARAMETRIC REGRESSION MODEL WITH LINEAR TIME SERIES ERRORS

Consider a semiparametric regression model with linear time series errors Yk = x'kβ g(tk) εk, 1 < k < n, where Yk's are responses, xk = (xk1,xk2,..... ,xkp)' and tk ∈T ∪R are fixed design points, β= (β1, β2, ....., βp)' is an unknown parameter vector, g(.) is an unknown bounded real-valued function defined on a compact subset T of the real line R, and εk is a linear process given by εk = ∑j=0∞j(?)ek-j,(?)= 1, where , are i.i.d. random variables. In this paper we establish the asymptotic normality of the least squares estimator of β, a smooth estimator of g(.), and estimators of the autocovariance and autocorrelation functions of the linear process εk.     

Long-term Energy Demand and CO_2 Problem in the PRC

The long-term energy demand in China and the-Chinese share in global CO2 emission are forecasted on the basis of scenarios of population growth and economy development up to 2050 proposed in view of the interaction of energy, economy, environment and social development. The total energy demand in 2050 will reach 4.4~ 5.4 billion tce. It is shown in energy supply analysis that coal is China's major energy in primary energy supply. The share of CO2 emission in the future Chinese energy system will be out of proportion to its energy consumption share because of the high persentage of coal to be consumed. It will reach about 27%. The nuclear option which would replace 30.7% of coal in the total primary energy supply will reduce the share by 9.8%. So the policy considerations on the future Chinese energy system is of great importance to the global CO2 issues.     

Waveform diversity based sonar system for target localization

A new monostatic army system taking advantage of diverse waveforms to improve the performance of underwater target localization is proposed.Unlike the coherent signals between different elements in common active array,the transmitted signals from different elements here are spatially orthogonal waveforms which allow for array processing in the transit mode and result in an extension of array aperture.The mathematical derivation of Capon estimator for this sonar system is described in detail.And the performance of this orthogonal-waveform based sonar is analyzed and compared with that of its phased-array counterpart by water tank experiments.Experimental results show that this sonar system could achieve 12 dB-15 dB additional array gain over its phased-array counterpart,which means a doubling of maximum detection range.Moreover,the angular resolution is significantly improved at lower SNR.     

爬壁机器人路径规划研究

研究爬壁机器人在三维工作环境中的全局路径规划.给出了一种基于人工神经网络结构能量函数的路径规划算法.可根据机器人吸附物体的形状设定各边界面对应的不等的模拟退火初始温度;并且可根据路径点位于物体内部与否的不同位置采用不同的运动方程.仿真结果表明,该算法可规划出最短的可行路径,为提高爬壁机器人的实用性,提供了一种有效的路径规划算法.

A New Method with High Confidence for Validation of Computer Simulation Models of Flight Systems

Computer simulation models may by used to gain further information about missile performance variability. Model validation is an important aspect of the test program for a missile system. Validation provides a basis for confidence in the model's results and is a necessary step if the model is to be used to draw inference about the behavior of the real missile. This paper is a review of methods useful for validation of computer simulation models of missile systems and provides a new method with high degree of confidence for validation of computer simulation models of missile systems. Some examples of the use of the new method in validating computer simulation models are given.

最近发布的星载法国地表反射的极化与方向性观测仪(POILDER)与美国中分辨率成像光谱仪(MODIS)的地表二向性反射(BRDF)数据产品,其输入数据的大气纠正未能满足定量遥感的需求.提出了二向性归一化植被指数(BiNDVI)的概念,以同时考虑地表反射的二向性与大气程辐射的影响,并用于定义卫星多角度遥感观测值的大气质量指数.用该指数加权迭代反演,能明显改进MODIS-BRDF的数据产品质量.     

Nogo-66 receptor antagonist peptide promotes axonal regeneration

Myelin-derived axon outgrowth inhibitors, such as Nogo, may account for the lack of axonal regeneration in the central nervous system (CNS) after trauma in adult mammals. A 66-residue domain of Nogo (Nogo-66) is expressed on the surface of oligodendrocytes and can inhibit axonal outgrowth through an axonal Nogo-66 receptor (NgR). The IN-1 monoclonal antibody recognizes Nogo-A and promotes corticospinal tract regeneration and locomotor recovery; however, the undefined nature of the IN-1 epitope in Nogo, the limited specificity of IN-1 for Nogo, and nonspecific anti-myelin effects have prevented a firm conclusion about the role of Nogo-66 or NgR. Here, we identify competitive antagonists of NgR derived from amino-terminal peptide fragments of Nogo-66. The Nogo-66(1 40) antagonist peptide (NEP1 40) blocks Nogo-66 or CNS myelin inhibition of axonal outgrowth in vitro, demonstrating that NgR mediates a significant portion of axonal outgrowth inhibition by myelin. Intrathecal administration of NEP1 40 to rats with mid-thoracic spinal cord hemisection results in significant axon growth of the corticospinal tract, and improves functional recovery. Thus, Nogo-66 and NgR have central roles in limiting axonal regeneration after CNS injury, and NEP1-40 provides a potential therapeutic agent.
