Synthesis and crystal structure of the trimetallic erbium tetrahydride complex [Li(THF)4][{(ButCp)2Er(μ-H)} 3-(μ3-H)]

Reaction of [(Bu′tCp)2Er(μ-CI)]2 with Bu′Li in 1:1 molar ratio in THF at -78℃, after work-up, afforded the trimetallic erbium tetrahydride complex [Li(THF)4][{(Bu′Cp)2Er(μ-H)}3(μ3-H)] (1) by β-hydrogen elimination reaction. Crystal structure determination reveals that complex 1 has discrete ion pair structure. The anion is composed of three (Bu′Cp)2Er units to form a triangle array connected by three bridged hydrogen atoms, and the fourth hydrogen atom coordinated to three Er^3 ions. The coordination num-ber for each Er^3 ion is 9.     

From mRNA to tumor suppressor

The combination of inhibition of RNA degradation and comparative genomic scanning is a powerful new method for detecting gene disruptions. The utility of the method is well-illustrated by a series of observations linking the ephrin receptor EPHB2 to prostate cancer.     

Requirement of Src kinases Lyn, Hck and Fgr for BCR-ABL1-induced B-lymphoblastic leukemia but not chronic myeloid leukemia

The Abl kinase inhibitor imatinib mesylate is the preferred treatment for Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph(+)) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in chronic phase but is much less effective in CML blast crisis or Ph(+) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Here, we show that Bcr-Abl activated the Src kinases Lyn, Hck and Fgr in B-lymphoid cells. BCR-ABL1 retrovirus-transduced marrow from mice lacking all three Src kinases efficiently induced CML but not B-ALL in recipients. The kinase inhibitor CGP76030 impaired the proliferation of B-lymphoid cells expressing Bcr-Abl in vitro and prolonged survival of mice with B-ALL but not CML. The combination of CGP76030 and imatinib was superior to imatinib alone in this regard. The biochemical target of CGP76030 in leukemia cells was Src kinases, not Bcr-Abl. These results implicate Src family kinases as therapeutic targets in Ph(+) B-ALL and suggest that simultaneous inhibition of Src and Bcr-Abl kinases may benefit individuals with Ph(+) acute leukemia.     

Influence of polymer addition on performance and mechanical properties of lightweight aggregate concrete

The influence of polymer addition on microstructure, performance and mechanical properties of lightweight aggregate concrete was investigated. It was found that the addition of polymer improved the performance and mechanical properties of lightweight aggregate concrete. It was ascertained that the modification of microstructural uniformity and densification with the addition of polymer is responsible for the enhancement of mechanical properties.With respect to compressive strength and bending strength, the lightweight aggregate concrete added with 13% ethylene-acetate ethylene interpolymer ( EVA ) exhibits preferred mechanical properties.     

Respective roles of short-and long-range interactions in protein folding

A new method was presented to discuss the respective roles of short- and long-range interactions in protein folding. It‘s based on an off-lattice model, which is also being called as toy model. Simulated annealing algorithm was used to search its native conformation. When it is applied to analysis proteins lagt and laho, we find that helical segment catmot fold into native conformation without the influence of long-range interactions. That‘s to say that long-range interactions are the main determinants in protein folding.     

Fast dating of Yongzheng copper coins in tsing empire by SEM-EDS

Twenty Yongzheng copper coins were fast dat-ing by X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer with scanning electron microscope (SEM-EDS) according to official ingredient. The 20 coins were classified in two groups according to the results. Group 1 represents the coins minted before AD 1 728 and group 2 represents the coins minted after AD 1 728. At concentration range (0.00%-5.13%), the distribution of lead is not homogeneous in the coins, and the largest diameter of lead inclusion is less than 15 μm. The official fineness degrade is supported.     

浅谈“问题解决“教学

问题解决自提出以来就受到数学教育界的普遍关注。本文简述了“问题解决“教学的意义,着重从问题解决的影响因素出发阐述如何进行有效的“问题解决“教学,并指出了“问题提出“的重要性。     

Rapid synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite catalyst for amination of ethanolamine

ZSM-5 zeolite was rapidly synthesized in system containing ethylenediamine from the initial gel: (5-8) Na2O:44 EDA:A12O3:100 SiO2:4000 H2O. The crystals were lath-shaped. The effect of pretreatment and alkalinity on crystallinity was investigated. The pretreatment of silicate source can cut down the crystallization time. Tuning the system alkalinity and controlling crystallization time can ensure forming of pure crystal.     

A flower image retrieval method based on ROI feature

Flower image retrieval is a very important step for computer-aided plant species recognition. In this paper, we propose an efficient segmentation method based on color clustering and domain knowledge to extract flower regions from flower images. For flower retrieval, we use the color histogram of a flower region to characterize the color features of flower and two shape-based features sets, Centroid-Contour Distance (CCD) and Angle Code Histogram (ACH), to characterize the shape features of a flower contour. Experimental results showed that our flower region extraction method based on color clustering and domain knowledge can produce accurate flower regions. Flower retrieval results on a database of 885 flower images collected from 14 plant species showed that our Region-of-Interest (ROI) based retrieval approach using both color and shape features can perform better than a method based on the global color histogram proposed by Swain and Ballard (1991) and a method based on domain knowledge-driven segmentation and color names proposed by Das et al.(1999).

随着高等教育和期刊业的改革和发展,高校学报面临着前所未有的机遇和挑战,学报是反映本校教学科研成果的窗口功能定位受到了较大的冲击。学报界有种共识：办学报的目的应该是“提高”而不仅仅是“反映”。因此,应使学报在更好地为本校教学科研服务的同时,也要为整个社会服务,努力拓展学报的双向展示功能：争取校内优稿,提高展示功能的深度;大胆开放办刊,提高展示功能的力度。
