Summary The karyotypes of two Insectivora species from Taiwan are described here for the first time.Soriculus caudatus fumidas has 2n=40 chromosomes, FN=52 andAnourosorex squamipes yamashinai has 2n=50 chromosomes, FN=96. A detailed karyotypic analysis of two Egyptian species of bats,Taphozous perforatus andTaphozous nudiventris, was made on the basis of conventional data and G-band patterns. No detectable karyotypic difference was found between the two species (2n=42, F.N. 64). By comparison of G-band patterns, some differences between the two species were seen in the corresponding autosomal pairs. These results are reported for the first time in Egypt.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Es werden die Kennzeichen der Chromosomen vonRhinophylla fischeri, R. pumilio undCarollia castanea beschrieben. Für die GattungCarollia ist bei niedriger Diploidzahl (21 , 20 ) eine niedrige « nombre fondamental » (34–36) charakteristisch. Für die GattungRhinophylla wird eine grössere Diploidzahl (34–36) und eine grössere « nombre fondamental » (56–62) gefunden.

Summary Diploid numbers of 40–46 were found among the 6 species of African Cichlidae included in this karyotypic study. Résumé Dans les leucoyctes en culture de 7 TenrecsCentetes ecaudatus (4 mâles et 3 femelles) provenant de la République Malgache, l'auteur a compté 38 chromosomes et constaté que les sexes ont un caryocyte distinct. C'est la première étude faite sur les chromosomes d'un représentant de la famille des Tenrecidae (Insectivores).

Skin fibroplast cells were cultured fromCentetes ecaudatus (Animal No. 2). These cells gave a count of 38 chromosomes. Using the same techniques as above, whole blood cultures of the related tenrec,Hemicentetes semispinosus G. Cuvier, were counted. Preliminary studies indicate 38 chromosomes for this speices.  相似文献

Immunological cross-reactivity of L-gulonolactone oxidase of different species (rat, chicken, and bullfrog) was tested by the Ouchterlony technique. Antiserum directed against the enzyme from chicken kidney reacted with rat liver enzyme as well as with bullfrog kidney enzyme. This finding suggests that there is, at least partly, sequence homology among the enzyme from species belonging to the three classes, Mammalian, Aves, and Amphibia.  相似文献

Summary Calamoichthys calabaricus, Polypterus palmas, P. weeksii, P. delhezi andP. ornatipinnis have the same amount of DNA per erythrocyte nucleus. The karyotype ofP. weeksii has 38 chromosomes and differs from the karyotypes of the other species, all with 36 chromosomes, by a Robertsonian chromosomal rearrangement. The karyotype condition is regarded as derived for vertebrates.Research supported by the Division of Human Genetics, K.U. Leuven, Belgium and the UNAZA, campus Kinshasa, Zaire.
