Enlightenments for Young Learners English teaching in the Perspective of Maslow’s Theory

Children are the center of young learner’s English teaching. Their motivation and interest are capable of guiding them English learning effectively. Only when the young learners are motivated and stimulated can they learn English well in an active and harmonious atmosphere. This paper first analyses the factors causing the lack of learning motivation of young English learners. Then, based on Maslow’s theory, the author puts forward some effective teaching methods and strategies, hoping to be helpful to motivate the young learners to learn English.     

A Research on Translation of Verbal Humor from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence——A Case Study of Brothers

As the unique heritage of culture,humor has its own characteristics.Whether the translation of verbal humor can convey the original culture accurately is vital.In this thesis,the author will make a study on the translation of verbal humor in Yu Hua 's novel Brothers from the perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory,which examines whether the translation version reproduces the style of the original text accurately and adequately.

This paper proposes some effective teaching techniques and methods that can be applied in English classroom to cultivate Chinese EFL learners’intercultural competence.     

The Pragmatic Application of English Euphemism on English Teacher＇s Language

Euphemism,as a linguistic form generated to seek ideal and effective communication, is widely and vividly used in people＇s daily life, and has become an indispensable part in English language. So it has intrigued linguists and scholars for long time. The researches about this subject cover many different fields, including linguistics, pragmatics, and psychology and so on. However, the researches on its pragmatic application in teachers＇ language are few. Based on the previous scholars＇ achievements, its application on teacher＇s language from the perspective of pragmatic function would be explored in this paper. Nowadays, student-centered teaching is advocated to improve teaching. Applying euphemisms on teaching is a typical embodiment. Teacher＇s applying euphemisms can shake offthe fright of students in pubhc, protect their self-esteem and stimulate their interest in study. When it is applied to teaching languages appropriately, relaxing and lively atmosphere built in class, students＇ confidence elevated, their initiative enhanced, good teaching results can be attained.

基于语料库的人教版高中英语程式语结构类型和语用功能研究

基于自建人教版高中英语语料库,笔者首先使用AntCone 3.2.1w软件从自建语料库中提取所有3-6个词的程式语,然后根据程式语结构将其分为三类:完整小句,小句和不完整短语,探讨每类程式语的语用功能。统计结果表明,程式语的分布是三个词的程式语占比最大,六个词的程式语占比最小,即程式语越长,程式语的数量越少,使用频率越低。三个词的程式语结构类型的分布是分句程式语的比例最大,超过50%;第二位不完全词串;完整小句最少。人教版高中英语具有多样化的程式语和丰富的语用功能。
