Zusammenfassung Wasserlösliche, proteolipide Proteine wurden von der weissen Hirnsubstanz durch Isolierungsmethoden vonTenenbaum undFolch ² gewonnen. Ohne Lyophilisation ergab die Disk-Elektrophorese bei pH 8.3 zwei Banden.

The metabolism of 3-hydroxytyramine-1-C14 in brain tissue homogenates

Zusammenfassung Homogenate aus Gehirn wurden mit 3-Hydroxytyramine-1-C¹⁴ inkubiert. Als Stoffwechselprodukt wurde aus der sauren Fraktion radioaktive 3,4-Dioxyphenylessigsäure isoliert. Aus der basischen Fraktion wurden drei radioaktive Zonen papierchromatographisch isoliert. Die erste Zone konnte noch nicht identifiziert werden. Die zweite wurde als 3-Hydroxytyramin und die dritte als 3-Methoxytyramin erkannt. Die mögliche Rolle der Stoffwechselprodukte von 3-Hydroxytyramin beim Parkinson-Syndrom wird diskutiert.

Zusammenfassung C3H/HeJ-weibliche Mäuse, die vor der Paarung dauernd mit CB-154, einem stark wirkenden Mittel zur Unterdrückung der Prolactinsekretion, behandelt wurden, wiesen keine bedeutsame Schädigung ihrer Fortpflanzungsfähigkeit auf. CB-154 Dauerbehandlung von weiblichen Mäusen sowohl während der Paarung als auch während der Laktation führte zu einer bedeutsamen Herabsetzung der Fruchtbarkeit und Milchabsonderung.

Occurence of diploid drones in a neotropical bumblebee

Zusammenfassung Mutter-Sohn-Kreuzung bei der südamerikanischen HummelBombus atratus Franklin ergab diploide Männchen mit normalen Arbeiterinnen im Verhältnis von 3 zu 1. Tur Interpretation des genetischen Mechanismus wurden 2 geschlechtsgebundene Loci angenommen, als bisher angenommen wurde, was für einen älteren Mechanismus bei Apiden spricht.

Radioprotective effect of isopentenyladenosine in mice

Summary The catalysis of H₂O₂ decomposition by Cu²⁺-complexes of RNA and DNA has been investigated. It is shown that both complexes decompose H₂O₂, but only the Cu²⁺-RNA-system shows peroxidative activity too, e.g. only in this case the nucleotide bases are degraded. Thermal denaturation of DNA also leads to a Cu²⁺-complex with peroxidative activity, the latter being dependent on the degree of denaturation.

Zusammenfassung Es wird der Einfluss einer Aminosäure auf verschiedene Gewebsarten und auch auf die Haut kontrolliert. Unterschiedlich starke, z.T. schwere Degenerationen, Entzündungen und auch Zellauflösungen waren festzustellen. Teilweise kam es zu Riesenzellbildungen oder zu Fibrosen in der Leber. Knochennekrosen und Blutungen wurden festgestellt.

Summary Hellebrigenin was converted to Scilliglaucosidin-19-ol and 3-Epi-Scilliglaucosidin-19-ol. This proves the correctness of the assumption ofStoll et al. ³ that the aldehydic group of Scilliglaucosidin is in position C-10.Comparison of a reduction product of Nabogenin, a substance isolated earlier from the bulbs ofBowiea volubilis Harvey, with Scilliglaucosidin-19-ol and 3-Epi-Scilliglaucosidin-19-ol showed its identity with the first named compound. This proves that the so called Nabogenin was a mixture consisting mainly of Scilliglaucosidin.

Diterpene esters from ‘Euphorbium’ and their irritant and cocarcinogenic activity

Zusammenfassung Aus «Euphorbium», dem luftgetrockneten Latex vonEuphorbia resinifera Berg, wurden 2 neue Ester des tri- und makrozyklischen, polyfunktionellen Diterpens Ingol, 2 neue und ein bereits bekannter Ester des tetrazyklischen polyfunktionellen Diterpens 12-Desoxy-phorbol sowie ein Gemisch von neuen Estern des tetrazyklischen polyfunktionellen Diterpens Ingenol isoliert. Das Gemisch der Ingenolester enthält langkettige, methylverzweigte Fettsäuren. Alle isolierten Ester wurden auf irritierende Wirkung am Mäuseohr und auf cocarcinogene Wirkung an der Rückenhaut der Maus geprüft.
