Mouse serum factor depressing lymphocyte transformation

Résumé Le sérum des souris normales contient un facteur, de haute charge négative et de faible poids moléculaire, qui abaisse la réponse de lymphocytes spléniques au PHA et aux lymphocytes allogéniques. Le sérum des souris qui ont eu une injection de BCG est même plus dépressif que le sérum des souris normales.     

Lymphopenia and lymphocyte transformation in alcoholics

Summary The basis of peripheral blood lymphopenia observed in patients with chronic alcoholism and liver disease was investigated by examining the effect of sera of these patients on in vitro transformation of normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes. A positive correlation was demonstrated between the serum inhibition of phytohaemagglutinin- and pokeweed mitogen-induced transformation and the degree of lymphopenia. Thus serum factors may contribute to the observed lymphopenia by inhibiting lymphocyte production in vivo.This study was supported by grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia, Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Alfred Hospital Henry Laurie Scholarship Fund.

The effect of common antibiotics on lymphocyte transformation

Zusammenfassung Therapeutische Konzentrationen von Penicillin, Erythromycin und Tetracycline wurden Lymphozytenkulturen zugefügt um mögliche Ähnlichkeiten zu der immunsuppressiven Wirkung antineoplastischer Antibiotika zu bestimmen. Eine Hemmung der PHA-induzierten Blastogenese konnte nicht beobachtet werden.

Résumé Nous avons observé que l'inhibiteur d'enzymes protéolytiques (Zymofren-Specia) inhibe la transformation blastique des lymphocytes sensibilisés de cobaye évoquee par la phytohémagglutinine ou l'antigène. Nous n'avons pas observé d'influence ce de produit sur la consommation d'oxygène.

A new lymphocyte transforming factor derived from the lysosomes of polymorphonuclear leucocytes

Résumé On décrit le facteur protéique stimulant in vitro la transformation blastique des lymphocytes allogènes. La présence de ce facteur ne put être établie à l'intérieur des lysosomes des macrophages, des lymphocytes, des cellules hépatiques, ni dans les fractions des granulocytes polymorphonucléaires contenant le plasma cellulaire dépourvu d'autres structures à la suite d'une centrifugation. On discute le rôle présumé du facteur étudié in vivo.     

Increase of haptoglobin concentration in mouse serum by endotoxin and by a serum factor

Résumé L'injection de sérums provenant de différentes souches de souris, ainsi que de rats, de hamsters et de lapins, respectivement traités au Rivanol, de même que l'injection d'endotoxine bactérienne à des souris de souche C57Bl a pour effet d'augmenter la concentration d'haptoglobine dans le sérum de ces dernières. La fraction purifiée de 7S-globulines sériques humaines réduit cet effet.
