Sedimentation behaviour of the avian tumor virus group specific antigen from the BAI strain,a virus associated myeloblast cell

Zusammenfassung BAI Virus Stamm A und mit diesem Virus infizierte Myeloblastzellen haben ein gemeinsames, gruppenspezifisches Antigen. Das aus dem Virus abgetrennte Antigen wurde mit dem aus den Zellen herausgelösten im Saccharose-Dichtegradienten verglichen. Sowohl für das Virus wie für das Zellantigen wurde der gleiche Sedimentationswert erhalten.

Dehydrogenases in diethylstilbestrol-induced kidney tumors of the syrian hamster

Zusammenfassung Vier oxidative Enzyme wurden in Schnitten von Diäthylstilbestrol-induzierten Nierentumoren in Syrischen Hamstern nachgewiesen. Die Aktivitäten der Bernsteinsäure- und -Hydroxybutter-Säure-Dehydrogenasen waren schwächer im Tumor als in der normalen Niere, diejenigen der Glucose-6-Phosphat- und Isocitronensäure-Dehydrogenasen dagegen stärker.

Lactate dehydrogenase virus association with transplantable murine tumors

Foetal blood abnormality associated with hypodactyly in the hd strain of rat

Summary The homozygous foetuses of hypodactyl rats (hd strain) present an obvious red blood cell macrocytosis (day 14 of gestation). This blood abnormality could give rise to thrombosis leading to early necrosis of the extremities.     

Detection and localization of a ribonuclease activity associated with vaccinia virus]

A ribonuclease associated with vaccinia virus can be detected when reduced concentrations of nucleotides are used for an in vitro RNA synthesis assay. The non-viral origin of this ribonuclease may be inferred from its external location and from its variable activity on different purified virus stocks. The detection of this ribonuclease activity on purified virus grown without foetal Calf serum may suggest that this enzyme is of cellular origin.     

Induction of cutaneous or subcutaneous fibroblastic tumors in the Afghan pika (Ochotona rufescens rufescens) by injection or bovine papilloma virus]

Newborn Afghan pikas have been inoculated with bovine papilloma virus via the subcutaneous route. Cutaneous or subcutaneous fibromas and fibrosarcomas were observed after a mean incubation period of nine months. The transmission of these tumors by homograft has been obtained. Bovine papilloma virus antibodies have been demonstrated in most of the animals inoculated at birth. They have not been detected in animals bearing transplanted tumors.
