Studies were conducted on the ovogonia of human embryos at the age of 33, 35 and 40 days. Myelin-like bodies in the nuclei and in the cytoplasm were observed. In other cases, the ovogonium contained 4-5 myelin-like bodies oriented round the centrioles. This is supposed to represent an early phase of corpus balbiani formation.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Nach Doppel-Fixierung der Ovarien vonXenopus laevis sind in Oocyten kurz vor und in der frühen Dotterbildungsphase lamelläre Einschlusskörper («myelin-like figures») zu finden. Es wird gezeigt, dass Verunreinigungen des Glutaraldehyds für das Zustandekommen der «myelin-like figures» verantwortlich sind, diese selbst jedoch erst durch die nachfolgende Einwirkung von OsO4 in Erscheinung treten. Bei Verwendung von gereinigtem Glutaraldehyd sind die lamellären Einschlusskörper nicht nachzuweisen. Sie bestehen wahrscheinlich aus einem Lipoprotein-Komplex und finden sich nur in lipidsynthetisch stark aktiven Oocyten. Daraus wird geschlossen, dass diese Körper morphologische Artefakte sind, die auf Grund einer normalen physiologischen Aktivität entstehen.  相似文献

Summary The re-formed membranes prepared from butanol extracts of myelin were examined by morphological and biochemical methods. Using freeze-fracturing, re-formed membranes showed 2 types of assembly of membrane particles, i.e., myelin-like and cluster arrangements. Moreover, SDS-urea disc gel electrophoresis indicated that the protein composition of these membranes reflected that of the myelin fragments.Acknowledgment. Summary The nuclei from leukocytes of peripheral blood, liver and spleen of an individual anaemicXenopus laevis have been found to possess numerous nuclear blebs or projections. These structures were found to be very variable in size and shape as viewed in electron micrographs, but commonly included an enclosed mass of cytoplasm bound on one side by a very thin section of nuclear material. Such sections are membrane bounded on each side and frequently display an interesting ordered array of chromatin.  相似文献

Previous studies indicate that the pineal gland alters prolactin secretion, and it was suggested that at least part of the effect of the pineal hormone melatonin on prolactin release may be mediated by the hypothalamic structures. In this study, pinealectomy and lesions of the suprachiasmatic nuclei were found to alter serum levels of prolactin in the same direction, an effect that was counteracted by daily afternoon melatonin administration. Melatonin, but not other pineal indoles, also prevented sulpiride-induced prolactin secretion in pinealectomized or suprachiasmatic nuclei-lesioned and ovariectomized rats, which suggested that the pineal gland can modulate prolactin secretion by acting through a dopamine mechanism independent of hypothalamic suprachiasmatic structures.  相似文献

2 new limonoid-type terpenes have been isolated from an aqueous extract of seeds produced by the Eastern Himalayan (India) plant Aphanamixis grandifolia B1. By interpreting principally mass spectral and nuclear magnetic resonance data, the structures of 12-hydroxyamoorastatin (2b) and amoorastatone (3) were elucidated. Unequivocal evidence for the 12-hydroxyamoorastatin structural assignment was obtained by chemical conversion to sendanin (4). Amoorastatin derivative 2b was found to significantly inhibit growth of the murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia cell lines but amoorastatone in the same system was inactive. In a comparative biological study, sendanin (4) and anthothecol (7) were also found significantly to inhibit growth of the P388 cell line, while rohitukin (8) and limonin (9) were found to be inactive.  相似文献

Wistar albino rats were intravenously injected with 1 ml of an oxyphoretic emulsion of perfluorobutylfurane and killed 3, 7 or 30 days later. Mitochondria isolated from the liver and kidneys of treated rats showed a small decrease in the transmembrane electrical potential and a substantial depression of the rates of both ATP synthesis and ADP-stimulated respiration. These alterations in mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation appear to be induced by perfluorocarbon and/or tensioactive molecules interacting with hydrophobic cell structures.  相似文献

Scanning electron microscopy of granulosa cells (GC) and granulosa cell-like structures (GCLS) revealed that both had lacy foldings, or plicae, on the surface and were identical. The 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetases (OASs) are members of a family of interferon-induced proteins playing an important role in the antiviral effect of interferons as well as being involved in apoptosis and control of cellular growth. Based on sequence data from the murine BAC clone (RP23-39M18), and a number of EST and IMAGE clones and the Celera Mouse database, we identified twelve Oas genes in the mouse genome, all localized to the chromosome 5F region. In contrast to the single OAS1 gene found in humans, we identified eight closely linked Oas1 genes in the murine genome, together with the genes of Oas2 and Oas3. Compared to the single OASL gene found in humans, two genes of OAS-like proteins, Oasl1 and Oasl2, were identified. All the putative genes seem to be transcribed. The exon/intron structures of the murine Oas genes were found to be identical to those of the human genes.  相似文献

The killing mediated by cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) represents an important mechanism in the immune defence against tumors and virus infections. The lytic mechanism has been proposed to consist of a polarized secretion of granule-stored molecules, occurring on effector-target cell contact. By electron microscopy, membrane deposited, pore-like lesions are detected on the target cell membrane during cytolysis by CTL. These structures resembled strikingly pores formed during complement attack.Granules of CTL isolated by nitrogen cavitation and Percoll gradient centrifugation were shown to retain cytotoxic activity. Further purification of proteins stored in these granules led to the discovery of a membranolytic protein named perforin which was capable of polymerizing into pore-like structures. In addition to this cytolytic protein, a set of serine esterases was found as well as lysosomal enzymes and proteoglycans, whose function are not yet clearly defined. The role of perforin in the cytotoxic process is currently being explored by ablating the active gene in mice.  相似文献

In addition to several anomalous structures, other general forms of definitely rod-shaped microorganisms have been found by scanning and transmission electron microscopy in the lung tissue taken at autopsy from a patient who succumbed to confirmed Legionnaires' disease with extensive necrotizing lobar pneumonia. The microorganisms were greatly varied in size and shape. They were micrographed in the act of fission. These forms have been found to some extent throughout the tissue. No nickel was demonstrated, either in the lung tissue or in the microorganisms.  相似文献

Summary Significant quantities of a newly discovered peptide, neuropeptide Y, were found in the rat pancreas, where they were localized to nerves in the exocrine parenchyma and around arterial and ductal structures. Although unaffected by surgical parasympathectomy, the periarterial and periductal nerves were abolished by chemical sympathectomy, suggesting that NPY is partially costored with sympathetic transmitters in nerve fibers.  相似文献
