Effect of prenatal and neonatal pantothenic acid deficiency on rat intestinal phosphatases

Alkaline phosphatase activity was increased in the distal part of the small intestine of pantothenic acid deficient neonatal rats, while acid phosphatase activity was slightly increased and protein concentration was decreased throughout the small intestine. The growth and maturation of the distal part of the small intestine were retarded more severely than in the proximal part.

Unusual elevation of IgE levels during childhood

Summary IgE levels in children 5 to 15 years of age were much higher than in their parents. The high IgE levels may result in part from a compensation for low IgA levels in children and in part from intestinal infestations.     

Effect of subdiaphragmatic vagotomy on production of gastric ulcers in pylorus-ligated albino rats

Summary A reduction in volume and free and total acidity of gastric content was noted along with reduction in ulcer index, with a shift of the site of ulceration from fundus to the glandular part of stomach, following vagotomy in pylorus-ligated rats. Low volume and acidity explains the absence of ulcers in the fundus, but the increased involvement of glandular part in ulceration is possibly due to weakening of the mucosal barrier following vagotomy.

Detection of factor VIII related antigens in long term cultures of rat endothelial cells

Summary Rat endothelial cells in culture can be distinguished from fibroblasts and epithelial cells by their reaction with antisera against human factor VIII (AHF) associated proteins.The data form part of the Ph.D. thesis submitted by A.T. Immunofluorescence identification of cells with corticotropic and alpha-melanotropic activity in the hypophysis of the grass snake Natrix natrix L.]

The use of anti ACTH (17-39) and alpha-MSH allowed us to detect by immunofluorescence in the Pituitary gland of Grass Snake the site of elaboration of ACTH and alpha-MSH. Corticotropic cells are located in the rostral part of the Pars Distalis and in the Pars intermedia. Melanotropic cells occupy the whole part of the Pars intermedia.

首先对目前国外政府在组织实施科技评估的过程中呈现出的一些新特点和趋势进行了分析与总结。在此基础上，对国内外政府在组织实施科技评估过程中存在的一些不同之外进行了对比分析。最后就如何借鉴国外经验更好地组织开展我国政府科技评估工作进行了的讨论。     

基于破损零件逆向设计的快速成型及质量分析

对漏油嘴零件的实际测量和在UG中的建模,实现零件的逆向设计。通过UG的导出文件在快速成型机上实现了零件的快速成型制作。对成型零件进行观测,总结出影响快速成型零件产品质量的因素,并从材料和堆积机理的角度进行了解释。     

Wall hydroxyproline and growth of georeactive roots (Zea mays L.)

Summary For the growing maize roots the increase of the content of wall hydroxyproline was related to a decrease of the root elongation and vice-versa. For the georeactive roots the wall hydroxyproline level was lower in the upper part which elongates more than the lower part containing more wall hydroxyproline.     

Changes in acid phosphatase activity in 6 tissues of the fifth instar milkweed bug,Oncopeltus fasciatus

Summary Acid phosphatase activity in the hemolymph and cuticle was higher during the early part of the fifth instar than at any other time. The enzyme activity in the fat body, testes, salivary glands, and midgut was statistically the same throughout the instar.Acknowledgment. Liver enlargement induced by oxythioquinox: effect of the fat content of the diet (author's transl)]

The relationship between the level of lipid calories in the diet and the effects of oxythioquinox, administered at 200 mg/kg fresh food, for 35 days, was studied on the liver enlargment of rat. The results show that the level lipid calories itself have no effect since, in the treated animals, the liver enlargement is due part to an increase of the water content and part to an increase of the size of the cells.     

非线性薄膜方程的差分迭代求解

对类似于非线性薄膜一类的非线性偏微分方程提出一种新的算法.该法首先略去非线性部分的影响,或给予非线性部分莱一初值,使非线性部分成为已知,从而将原非线性方程转化为线性方程,并按差分法或其它方法求得其线性解.再将所得线性解代入非线性部分使其成为已知,再次求得其解.这样反复迭代直至收敛,进而求得原非线性方程的非线性解.     

Organization of contralateral and bilateral projections of corticospinal tracts in cats]

In Cats with a previous spinal lesion (C 6) saving only a lateral or ventral funiculus, a caudal horseradish peroxidase injection (C 8-Th 1) reveals that some cortical zones (lateral sigmo?d gyrus, medial part of the posterieur sigmo?d gyrus, medial part of the dorsal bank of the cruciate sulcus) send spinal projections, only contralaterally, by way of the dorsolateral funiculus, whereas other cortical zones (anterior sigmo?d gyrus, middle part of the posterior sigmo?d gyrus, lateral parts of the dorsal and ventral bank of the cruciate sulcus) send bilateral spinal projections by way of the ventral and dorsolateral funiculi.     

42K spaces in submandibular gland of early postnatal rats: effects of carbachol and transport inhibitors

Equivalent spaces of 42K were measured in fragments of the submandibular gland of 1-, 7-, 14- and 21-day-old and adult rats in the absence and presence of carbachol and the transport inhibitors ouabain and furosemide. The results indicate that the 42K space was increased by carbachol in an ouabain-sensitive manner at all ages studied and that part of the secretagogue-stimulated K uptake occurred by way of a furosemide-sensitive transport system in the latter part of the postnatal period and in the adult.     

Immunological profile of breast cancer patients in early or advanced disease

Summary Immune reactivity of patients with early or advanced breast cancer, compared with healthy controls, has been measured using in vivo and in vitro tests. Behavioral effects of 5-hydroxytryptophan

Zusammenfassung Bestimmung der Verhaltensänderung bei Tauben, durch Injektion von 5-Hydroxytryptophan, der Vorstufe von Serotonin hervorgerufen. Mit steigender Dosis von 5-Hydroxytryptophan wird eine entsprechende Frequenzverminderung des Pick-Verhaltens ausgelöst.
