SYMMETRIC AND SKEW-SYMMETRIC PROCRUSTES STATISTICS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS

In this paper,we give the calculation formulae and some properties of symmetric andskew-symmetric procrustes statistics and related transformation matrices.We use the procrustesstatistic to provide an overall picture of the response of the classical scaling method to smallerrors by making expansions in powers of the error term,and retaining the lowest non-cancellingpower.A perturbation theory for this is worked out,and is shown to lead to a distribution theory.

COORDINATING PRODUCTION AND RECYCLING DECISIONS WITH STOCHASTIC DEMAND AND RETUR

In this paper, the joint production and recycling problem is investigated for a hybrid manufacturing and remanufacturing system where brand-new products are produced in the manufacturing plant and recycled products are remanufactured into as-new products in the remanufacturing facility. Both the brand-new products and remanufactured products are used to satisfy customer demands. Returns of used products that are recycled from customers are assumed to be stochastic and nonlinearly price-dependent. A mathematical model is proposed to maximize the overall profit of the system through simultaneously optimizing the production and recycling decisions, subject to two capacity constraints ? the manufacturing capacity and the remanufacturing capacity. Based on Lagrangian relaxation method, subgradient algorithm and heuristic algorithm, a solution approach is developed to solve the problem. A representative example is presented to illustrate the system, and managerial analysis indicates that the uncertainties in demand and return have much influence on the production and recycling policy. In addition, twenty randomly produced examples are solved, and computational results show that the solution approach can obtain very good solutions for all examples in reasonable time.

群体一致性寻求与判别方法

运用三角模糊数的概念根据个体加权向量,提出两种衡量个体间一致性的相似度量函数．根据第１种相似度量函数,构造个体、群体的一致性指标．在此基础上,给出群体一致性的定义,并运用个体指标提出由个体加权向量寻求群体加权向量的具体方法．根据第２种相似度量函数,给出了群体强、弱一致的充要条件．该条件为上述寻求方法提供了一个寻求的范围,减少群体一致性寻求的盲目性．

ON ACYCLIC AND CYCLIC HYPERGRAPHS

So far, the acyclic hypergraph has two different definitions. One is based on the cyclomatic number of the hypergraph, whereas the other arises from the acyclic schema of the relational database in the computer science. In this paper, it is first proved that these two definitions coincide with each other completely. Then we prove that a hypergraph H is not acyclic, or cyclic, if and only if it contains a special partial hypergraph named hypercircuit. In addition, we show that H has l(H) different hypercircuits, where l(H) is a parameter used to decide whether H is acyclic or cyclic.

RELATIVE TREND AND ITS TEST

In this paper we develop tests using L-statistic for a constant relative trendagainst a convex ordered relative trend.Unbiasedness of the test is obtained.For a certainpath of trends,the score function can be chcsen so that the sequence of the constructed testsis locally asymptotically most powerful.An example is given to illustrate the results.
