Ein neues Verfahren zur Herstellung von 19-Norsteroiden

Summary The new methods for the production of 19-norsteroids described involve the conversion of 5-halogen-6-hydroxy-steroids into the corresponding 5-halogen-6:19-ethers either with lead tetraacetate or by the hypoiodite reaction^8,10. The 6:19-oxygen bridge is then opened reductively either directly or after oxidation of the 6:19-ethers to lactones or preferably after introduction of a ^4,6-3-oxo grouping. Acylolytic cleavage of the ⁴-3-oxo-6:19-ethers followed by alkaline hydrolysis gives ^4,6-3-oxo-19-hydroxy-steroids. The 19-hydroxycompounds formed are easily converted into 19-norsteroids by known methods.

Effect of an azo dye on germination and outgrowth ofBacillus megaterium spores

Riassunto È dimostrato che il violetto di genziana non interferisce nella germinazione indotta con inosina di spore diBacillus megaterium, mentre ne inibisce la crescita alle concentrazioni di 1 o più g per ml di cultura. Quando impiegato a concentrazioni comprese fra 0,4 e 0,1 g/ml è possibile mettere in evidenza non solo forme vegetative ma anche protoplasti. Quest'ultima osservazione viene messa in relazione alla attività inibente la sintesi dei precursori del cell wall da parte del violetto di genziana.

Résumé L'administration intraveineuse du prégnène-3-ol-20-one[7-³H]- ⁵ avec le progestérone[4-¹⁴C] à un homme sain amena la sécrétion d'autant de radioactivité dans la sueur des aiselles que dans la plupart du reste du corps. Le prégnénolone- ⁵, l'androstène-3,17-dione- ⁴ et le déhydroépiandrostérone furent les principaux stéroïdes marqués identifiés comme partant des deux sources de sueur.

Riassunto Si descrive la sintesi dei due dipeptidi isomeri acido N-acetil--l-aspartil-l-glutammico (I) e acido N-acetil--l-aspartil-l-glutammico (II). Il loro confronto con il NAAGA, dipeptide precedentemente isolato dal tessuto nervoso di alcuni mammiferi, ha dimostrato l'identità del nuovo metabolita con il-dipeptide (II).

Riassunto Sono state calcolate le costanti di dissociazione dei complessi fra la RNA-polimerasi II e la metil--amanitina, la -amanitina e la metil-aldoamanitina. La K _d è risultata essere 3.6×10^–9 M per la metil--amanitina e 3.2×10^–9 M per la -amanitina. La metil-aldoamanitina non si lega all'enzima.     

Altered composition of bilirubin conjugates in rat bile after obstruction of the common bile duct

Résumé Changement de la composition des pigments biliaires de la bile de rat après obstruction. L'obstruction des voies biliaires chez le rat Wistar mène à la formation de pigments biliaires donnant par diazo-réaction des azopigments (jusqu'à 35% de la couleur totale) qui diffèrent de l'azobilirubine et de l'azobilirubin--d-monoglucuronide.

Résumé La puromycine inhibe fortement l'incorporation de la¹⁴C-L-valine dans les protéines, aussi bien dans les ufs fécondés d'oursins intacts que dans les préparations subcellulaires faites à partir de ceux-ci. Cependant ces préparations se sont montrées nettement plus sensibles à l'action de la puromycine que les ufs entiers. Parallèlement le blocage des divisions cellulaires a été proportionnel à cette action inhibitrice sur le métabolisme des protéines. Le développement s'est arrêté au stade «clear streak».

Riassunto Viene mettona in evidenza l'effetto contratturante del Guo-3:5-P sulla muscolatura liscia di stomaco di ratto in vitro. Tale effetto è antagonizzato dall'Atropina e scompare dopo vagotomia. Una possibile interazione fra il Guo-3:5-P e la trasmissione colinergica sembra così emergere da questi primi risultati.

Diminution of 5-hydroxytryptamine in thrombocytesin vitro by chlorpromazine and related compounds

Riassunto Cloropromazina, imipramina, cloroprotixene e amitriptilinain vitro diminiscono la 5-idrossitriptamina (5HT) endogena nei trombociti di coniglio e, per quanto si è visto, anche in quelli umani. Nel plasma di coniglio pretrattato con isocarbossazide, inibitore della mono-amino-ossidasi, si osserva un corrispondente aumento di 5HT. Cocaina, -metil-dopa e triptamina hanno un effetto meno pronunciato sulla 5HT delle piastrine.

Plasma levels and renal excretion of unchanged methopholine in man

Riassunto I livelli plasmatici e l'eliminazione urinaria del methopholine immodificato sono molto bassi nell'uomo, in confronto alle varie dosi orali somministrate. Anche il trattamento trisettimanale non ha causato concentrazioni plasmatiche diverse da quelle ottenute con somministrazione singola o ripetuta. La sostanza è ampiamente trasformata nell'organismo ed escreta sotto forma di metaboliti vari.
