This paper aims to observe euphemisms and its translation from cultural point of view.As euphemisms are,more often than not,the reflection of a certain culture,it is advisable to take into consideration their cultural connotation in understanding and translating euphemisms.And the thesis itself is probe into the translation methods and skills of euphemisms,via the origination of euphemism and the analysis of the relationship between euphemisms and culture to reflect its cultural connotation as far as possible.

Since the 1960s translation has made great progress on the way to becoming a systematic and scientific discipline.The theory of deconstruction,originating in France,has made great impact on traditional translation.It has become more influential in recent days.Through the discussion of deconstruction and its idea of translation,this thesis clarifies people's skeptical attitudes towards deconstruction and explains radical changes it has brought for translation field,especially in explaining the relationship between the original text and the translated text in Derrida's deconstruction theory.At the end of this thesis,the application and limitations of deconstruction are discussed.

A New Approach of Feature Selection for Text Categorization

This paper proposes a new approach of feature selection based on the independent measure between features for text categorization. A fundamental hypothesis that occurrence of the terms in documents is independent of each other, widely used in the probabilistic models for text categorization （TC）, is discussed. However, the basic hypothesis is incom plete for independence of feature set. From the view of feature selection, a new independent measure between features is designed, by which a feature selection algorithm is given to ob rain a feature subset. The selected subset is high in relevance with category and strong in independence between features, satisfies the basic hypothesis at maximum degree. Compared with other traditional feature selection method in TC （which is only taken into the relevance account）, the performance of feature subset selected by our method is prior to others with experiments on the benchmark dataset of 20 Newsgroups.

To Introduce a Cultural Sense in Translation——A Brief Study of Non-equivalence in the Associated Meanings of English and Chinese Words

This paper attempts to demonstrate the importance of introducing cultural sense in translation practice, English to Chinese in particular, by examining the problem of non-equivalence at word level in associated meanings and to unveil the cultural aspects projected within. It is also argued that greater importance should be attached to the cultural perspectives in translation and flexible strategies should be adopted in dealing with the problems of non-equivalence in the associated meanings of words of different cultures.

Electroporation： A New Approach Enhancing Antitumor Effects of Cytoxan

Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a novel cancer treatment in which electric pulses (EPs) inducing cell membrane pored (eleetroporation) are used as a means of delivering antitumor drugs to the cytoplasm of cancer cells. In vitro, with scan electromicroscope (SEM) and Trypan blue staining examination, the best parameter of EPs of electroporation is studied by the S-180 cells exposed to EP with various voltages, pulses, capacitance. The best parameter of EP of electroporation is 600V/cm, 6 pulses, 10 μF. In the in vivo study, ECT is studied with the Cytoxan (CTX) injected directly into the tumor followed immediately by a local EP at the tumor site.Four parameters, which include the tumor inhibitory ratio, the curing ratio and the vas capillareof tumor, the tumor‘s histopathological characteristics are determined and compared among the ECT group, the control group, the EP-only group and the drug-only group. The results indicate that the antitumor effect of CTX is sitrnifiezntlt enhanced by electroporation.

A Cognitive Approach to Deictic Projection in Communicative Activities

Deixis, as a complicated linguistic phenomenon and an indispensable part in our life, has attracted the attention of a lot of scholars both at home and abroad.As the main subfield of pragmatics, deixis plays a very important role within the domains of semantics and pragmatics.A general feature of deictic categories is their egocentricity.But there are various exceptions to this, in which deictic expressions are used in ways shift this deictic center to other participants, Lyons called this kind of phenomenon"deictic projection".Traditional accounts of deixis cannot provide a convincing explanation for this phenomenon of deictic projection.Cognitive linguistics provides a new theoretical framework for the study of deixis, especially on deictic projection.

A New Approach to Provide Global Certificate Service in Virtual Enterprise

Certificate Authority(CA)is the core of public key infrastructure.However,the traditional structure of CA is either hierarchical or reticular,and none of them is suitable for security requirements come from the new trend in enterprise cooperation,namely virtual enterprise(VE).In this paper a new idea-virtual certificate authority(VCA),is proposed,as well as its implementation.The goal of VCAis to provide global certificate service over vital enterprise while keeping CA of each participant intact as much as possible.Unlike PEM,PGP,and BCA,by using secret sharing scheme,virtual CA avoids the need for TTP and supports virtual enterprise′s feature of dynamical construction and destruction.
