The API interfaces provided by CUDA help programmers to get high performance CUDA applications in GPU, but they cannot support most I/O operations in device codes. The characteristics of CUDA's mapped memory are used here to create a dynamic polling service model in the host which can satisfy most I/O functions such as read/write file and "printf". The technique to implement these I/O functions has some influence on the performance of the original applications. These functions quickly respond to the users' I/O requirements with the "printf" performance better than CUDA's. An easy and effective real-time method is given for users to debug their programs using the I/O functions. These functions improve productivity of converting legacy C/C++ codes to CUDA and broaden CUDA's functions.  相似文献

At present, I/O is the performance bottleneck limiting the speed of computer systems. A large number of I/O operations are synchronous read/write operations of only small data blocks. However, reducing the latency of synchronous I/O operation is a non-trivial problem. In this paper, we propose two methods to address this problem. The first method, FastSync, uses a cache disk optimized for write operation via use of a disk-head position prediction algorithm. In this way, disk capacity is traded for synchronous I/O performance. The second method, LND, uses free memory capacity in a network environment as a cache disk for the buffeting of synchronous I/O operation. Data integrity in FastSync is ensured by using a data log on the cache disk, whereas in LND, integrity is ensured by the storage in distributed memory of multiple copies of each data block. Both methods succeed in dramatically increasing the performance of synchronous I/O operation. The performance of LND is limited by the network speed, whereas performance of FastSync is determined mostly by the data block size.  相似文献

The presence of silver ions (Ag(I)) in wastewater has a detrimental effect on living organisms. Removal of soluble silver, especially at low concentrations, is challenging. This paper presents the use of β-MnO2 particles as a photocatalyst to remove Ag(I) ions selectively from aqueous solution at various pH levels. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission electron microscope (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron microscopy (XPS) were employed to determine the removal efficiency and to characterize the deposition of silver onto the surface of β-MnO2 particles. The optimum pH for the removal of Ag(I) ions was at pH 4 with 99% removal efficiency under 1 h of visible light irradiation. This phenomenon can be attributed to the electrostatic attraction between β-MnO2 particles and Ag(I) ions as well as the suppression of electron–hole recombination in the presence of H+ ions.  相似文献

The coupler is fundamental for a coupled model to realize complex interactions among compo- nent models. This paper focuses on the coupling process of Wave-Circulation (W-C) coupled model which consists of MASNUM (key laboratory of marine science and numerical modeling wave model) and POM ( Princeton Ocean Model). The current coupling module of this coupled model is based on the inefficient I/O file, which has already become a performance bottleneck especially when the cou- pled model utilizes a large number of processes. To improve the performance of the W-C model, a flexible coupling module based on the model coupling toolkit (MCT) is designed and implemented to replace the current I/O file coupling module in the coupled model. Empirical studies that we have carried out demonstrate that our online coupling module can dramatically improve the parallel per- formance of the coupled model. The online coupling module outperforms the I/O file coupling mod- ule. When processes increase to 96, the whole process of EXP-C takes only 695.8 seconds, which is only 58.8% of the execution time of EXP-F. Based on our experiments under 2D Parallel Decom- position (2DPD), we suggest setting parallel decomposition strategies automatically to component models in order to achieve high parallel efficiency.  相似文献

In this paper, we explored a load-balancing algorithm in a cluster file system contains two levels of metadata-server, primary-level server quickly distributestasks to second-level servers depending on the closest load-balancing information. At the same time, we explored a method which accurately reflect I/O traffic and storage of storage-node: computing the heat-value of file, according to which we realized a more logical storage allocation. According to the experiment result, we conclude that this new algorithm shortens the executing time of tasks and improves the system performance compared with other load algorithm.  相似文献

As an English learner and educator,I am devoting myself to translating works in clear and exact way.But in practice,I find it very difficult to translate works from one language to another,especially some Chinese ancient poets,which embodies the essence of Chinese culture.And what makes me obsessed with is the imageries conveyed in the two cultures.One word in Chinese ancient poets is not only interpreted literally but also explained between the lines,because it will contain a lot of images,which are most difficult to be translated.Therefore,I have to understand the basic meaning,besides it is necessary for me to understand the images and transform them into another language so that the translation can drive home to the natives.Here I borrow the theories from the cultural linguistics to translate Chinese poets.I will try best to apply the theories to translation from Chinese to English and compare some works including various versions.Finally I will draw a conclusion that for translation,the cultural linguistics is essential.  相似文献

The major histocompatibility complex(MHC)of proteins that exists in all vertebrates is encoded by a cluster of genes associated with the immune response and related functions.MHC is divided into MHC I,II,and III;MHC I is involved in antigenic presentation,binding T cell receptors,and leading ultimately to specific cellular immune responses.The complicated functions of MHC I are determined by the nature of the complex.The crystal structure of MHC I has been solved for many animals,revealing the relationship between spatial structure and function.MHC I consists of an a heavy chain and a b2m light chain,both ligated non-covalently to a complex when a peptide is bound to the antigenic-binding groove.The a heavy chain is divided into an extracellular domain,a transmembrane domain,and an intracellular domain.The extracellular domain consists of sub-regions a1,a2,and a3.The a1 and a2 together form the antigenic-binding groove and bind antigenic peptides with 8–10 amino acid residues.MHC I can form a stable spatial structure;however,it should be noted that there are differences in the structure of MHC I among animal species,including anchored amino acids in binding peptides,binding sites,molecular distance,crystallization conditions,etc.Here,progress in determination of the crystal structure of human,mouse,chicken,non-human primate,and swine MHC I is described in detail.  相似文献

The embedded atom method (EAM) was used to theoretically analyze the effect of the lattice parameter variation on the order-disorder transformation in binary alloys. Based on EAM, it is found that only one kind of order-disorder transition (second-order transition) exists for AB alloy. Three groups of order-disorder transformation can be observed for the A3B or AB3 compounds. For group I, the order-disorder is a completely first-order transition. For group II, the order-disorder transformation is a classical first-order transition. For group III, the order-disorder transformation is found to be a second-order transition. The lattice parameter variations have a significant effect on E2 coefficient, which is related to the ordering energy. These results are in good agreement with experiments.  相似文献

The Rowhammer bug is a novel micro-architectural security threat, enabling powerful privilege-escalation attacks on various mainstream platforms. It works by actively flipping bits in Dynamic Random Access Memory(DRAM) cells with unprivileged instructions. In order to set up Rowhammer against binaries in the Linux page cache, the Waylaying algorithm has previously been proposed. The Waylaying method stealthily relocates binaries onto exploitable physical addresses without exhausting system memory. However, the proof-of-concept Waylaying algorithm can be easily detected during page cache eviction because of its high disk I/O overhead and long running time. This paper proposes the more advanced Memway algorithm, which improves on Waylaying in terms of both I/O overhead and speed. Running time and disk I/O overhead are reduced by 90% by utilizing Linux tmpfs and inmemory swapping to manage eviction files. Furthermore, by combining Memway with the unprivileged posix fadvise API, the binary relocation step is made 100 times faster. Equipped with our Memway+fadvise relocation scheme,we demonstrate practical Rowhammer attacks that take only 15–200 minutes to covertly relocate a victim binary,and less than 3 seconds to flip the target instruction bit.  相似文献

The performance of existing diffusion-based algorithms in recommender systems is still limited by the processing ability of a single computer .In order to conduct the diffusion computation on large data sets, a parallel implementation of the classic diffusion method on the MapReduce framework is proposed.At first, the diffusion computation is transformed from a summation format to a cascade matrix multiplication format , and then , a parallel matrix multiplication algorithm based on dynamic vector is proposed to reduce the CPU and I/O cost on the MapReduce framework , which can also be applied to other parallel matrix multiplication scenarios .Then, block partitioning is used to further improve the performance , while the order of matrix multiplication is also taken into consideration . Experiments on different kinds of data sets have verified the efficiency of the proposed method .  相似文献

Detailed rock magnetic studies of 55 lavas from Yixian and Fuxin area, West Liaoning, show the primary carriers of remanence to be pseudo-single domain titanomagnetite. K/Ar dating indicates that the volcanic sequence spans 93 to 133 Ma. Stepwise thermal demagnetization successfully isolated well-defined characteristic magnetization (ChRM) in all lavas thermal-treated above 250℃. The mean paleodirections are D/I = 5.9°/58.8° (α95 = 2.9°) and D/I =179.2°/-59.9° (α95 = 5.2°) for 27 normally magnetized flows and 28 reversibly magnetized flows, respectively. It indicates that since the Early Cretaceous there is no significant horizontal movement and rotation between the Yixian-Fuxin area and Eurasia. However, Korea Peninsula may have undergone a clockwise rotation of 33.9° relative to the Yixian-Fuxin area during the Cretaceous. On the basis of characteristics of hotspot origins (core-mantle boundary or upper mantle), the clockwise rotation of Korea Peninsula relative to Eurasia is assumed to be mainly caused by an extensional force in the crust of eastern China, which was corresponding to intensive surface volcanic activities in this area.  相似文献

Cytoskeleton nanomechanics characterizes cancer cell’s physical behaviors such as how it spread and invade. For anticancer drug, cytoskeleton nanomechanics may be a target to inhibit invasiveness and metastasis of cancer cells. Therefore, in vitro assay of cytoskeleton nanomechanics may be used to evaluate the effects of potential anticancer drug on various cancer types. Here, we investigated the effects of tubeimoside I (TBMS I) on human hepatoma (HepG2) cells by using optical magnetic twisting cytometry, a well-established technique for measuring nanomechanics of the Factin cytoskeleton. TBMS I is a natural compound extracted from a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, and is reported with antitumor effect. In this study, we demonstrated that the cytoskeleton stiffness (G) of HepG2 cells was affected by TBMS I. G′ exhibited a typical power law with respect to the loading frequency (f), i.e. G~f . The magnitude of G′ and the value of exponent (α) of the HepG2 cells decreased consistently with the increase of concentration for TBMS I exposure. In addition, the HepG2 cells responded to TBMS I much faster than the normal liver (L-02) cells. Such alteration of cytoskeleton nanomechanics induced by TBMS I was reported for the first time, which was further corroborated by assays of Factin cytoskeleton structure and cell migration. Taken together, these results suggest that in vitro assay of cytoskeleton nanomechanics may have a great potential as an additional tool in screening of anticancer drug candidates.  相似文献
