Zusammenfassung Das Ergebnis der immunoelektrophoretischen Untersuchungen zeigt einen gewaltigen Unterschied in den serologischen Mustern der Frösche (Ranidae) und Kröten (Bufonidae). Die amerikanischen Vertreter der Ranidae und der Bufonidae haben sehr wenig gemeinsame Serumantigene. Der Mangel an gemeinsamen antigenischen Bestandteilen in ihren Serumproteinen weist sowohl auf eine frühe Evolutionstrennung des Frosches und der Kröte wie auch auf ein merkliches genetisches Auseinandergehen der zwei Stämme während der langen Zeitspanne isolierter Existenz hin.

Résumé L'action des carbinols di-(p-chlorophenyl) trifluorométhyl et di-(p-chlorophenyl) trichlorométhyl (DTMC) a été déterminée sur une souche très résistante de mouches par la méthode de contact. Le premier composé semble agir probablement grâce à de faibles propriétés fumigantes, alors que le second est toxique par contact. L'action toxique de ce dernier est sensiblement augmentée par l'addition du DDT, DDE ou autre composé organique de la série du DDT.

Summary Adenine-arabinoside, a new antiviral drug with questionable bone marrow toxicity, inhibits colony formation by myeloid precursor cells in vitro. Tumor differentiation factor (TDF) is an under-investigated protein produced by the pituitary with no definitive function. TDF is secreted into the bloodstream and targets the breast and prostate, suggesting that it has an endocrine function. Initially, TDF was indirectly discovered based on the differentiation effect of alkaline pituitary extracts of the mammosomatotropic tumor MtTWlO on MTW9/PI rat mammary tumor cells. Years later, the cDNA clone responsible for this differentiation activity was isolated from a human pituitary cDNA library using expression cloning. The cDNA encoded a 108-amino-acid polypeptide that had differentiation activity on MCF7 breast cancer cells and on DU145 prostate cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Recently, our group focused on identification of the TDF receptor (TDF-R). As potential TDF-R candidates, we identified the members of the Heat Shock 70-kDa family of proteins (HSP70) in both MCF7 and BT-549 human breast cancer cells (HBCC) and PC3, DU145, and LNCaP human prostate cancer cells (HPCC), but not in HeLa cells, NG108 neuroblastoma, or HDF-a and BLK CL.4 cells fibroblasts or fibroblast-like cells. Here we review the current advances on TDF, with particular focus on the structural investigation of its receptor and on its functional effects on breast and prostate cells.  相似文献

Summary Tryptophan, 5-HT, MAO and 5-HIAA were determined in the first 5 segments of earthworms (Oligochaetae) where the brain and subesophagic ganglions are located. Tranylcypromine (IMAO) decreased MAO activity increasing 5-HT and decreasing 5-HIAA. Motility and survival of worms were disturbed. InAllolobophora species (young worms), parathion fumigation decreased acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity and increased Trp, 5-HT and 5-HIAA. Motility was diminished after 24 h: it worsened after 72, but returned to normal levels 40/50 days later.Publication of the National Institute of Agrarian Technology (INTA), Argentina.Acknowledgments. Summary In this study we have analyzed the sterol compositions of two continental shelf species of crustacea, the lobster (Homarus americanus) and the shrimp (Pandalus borealis). Cholesterol was found to be the most abundant sterol in these two species with smaller amounts of desmosterol, 24-methylcholesterol, 24-ethylcholesterol, 24-methylenecholesterol and 22-dehydrocholesterol. Zusammenfassung Die Synthese von (—)-1(7)-Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) auf (—)-1(6) wird beschrieben. Das Hauptprodukt der oxidativen Zerstörung von (—)-1-THC ist Cannabinol. Beschleunigte Versuche der Luftoxidation von (—)-1-THC und (—)-1(6)-THC haben gezeigt, dass das letztere beständiger ist. Dieser Unterschied kann mit der Reaktivität des C3-benzylisch-allylischen Wasserstoffes in (—)-1-THC erklärt werden.  相似文献
