CEO of Australian Vice-Chancellors’ Committee Visits Tsinghua

Mr. John Mullarvey, Chief Executive Officer of Australian Vice-Chancellors’ Committee (AVCC), visitedTsinghua on August 24. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin met and had a friendly talk with Mr. Mullarvey. During their talks, President Gu and Mr. Mullarvey exchanged ideas on students, fund raising, and so on. Norway＇s Prime Minister Visiting Tsinghua University

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg of Norway visited Tsinghua on March 27. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin welcomed Mr. Stoltenberg. The two exchanged ideas on climate change, energy saving, and environmental protection. A collaborative agreement was recently signed between Tsinghua and the Boeing Company. Finland＇s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Jyrki Katainen visited Tsinghua and delivered a speech entitled ＂The Future Challenges of the European Union＂ on January 17, 2008.
