In a word of international interdependence, the ability to understand and communicate effectively with people from other cultures takes on urgency. So if we are aware of the significant role culture plays in communication, we may not place the blame for communication failure on other people. This paper is trying to expect the readers to understand： what is intercultural communication; the potential barriers in intercultural communication; what we can do to overcome the barriers in the intercultural communication. And the prevailing problems in intercultural communication and the suggestions to higher education institutions in the hope Of improving relationships between people from different cultures.     

Communication in a School Organization

As an organization,school has its own unique organizational culture.In a school organization,communication refers to the exchange of information among different groups,levels and departments.It is our major concern to establish a good and effective communication system.This article tries to explore the ways of information flow and the forms of communication in a school organization.And advice is given to improve the communication system so that we will be better informed to know how to set up a healthy communication system.     

On the Uncertainty in the Intercultural Communication

Uncertainty is associated negatively with positive expectations,communication satisfaction and quality of communication.And it is one of the key factors that influence our communication with others.So how to reduce uncertainty to a moderate and ideal state in intercultural communication is very important,which decides whether the communication is successful.In this paper,the author tentatively suggests several means to reduce uncertainty,such as shared knowledge,linguistic knowledge,stereotype and personal knowledge,relaxed and equal atmosphere,openness and tolerance and so on with a hope to fan flames in the successful intercultural communication.     

How to Improve Communicative Competence of EFL Teacher in the Classroom

The modern teaching principles regard teaching process as the one of teacher-student communication,interaction and development. Some scholars therefore suggest that communication is the essence of teaching. Classroom communication is of great practical significance for education. However,a present empirical study shows that the current situation of teacher-student relations and communication in the EFL classroom is not satisfied enough. The teachers’communicative competence in the classroom needs to be improved. Based on factors that affect the teacher-student communication and the suggestion of the present empirical study,this paper suggests 5 ways to improve the classroom communicative competence of EFL teachers: 1) Teachers need to reconstruct and internalize the notion of modern educational communication; 2) Teachers need to apply appropriate teaching methods and teaching techniques; 3) Teachers need to well harmonize the relations between democracy and authority; 4) Teachers need to equally com-municate with all students and respect them; 5) Teachers need to create a communicative teaching environment. In this way we can facilitate the overall development of students.     

Analysis of Cultivating Nonverbal Communicative Competence from Cross- cultural Perspective

This paper aims to find out the ways of cultivating students’ ability of nonverbal communication from the cross-cultural perspective.The author tries to illustrate some practical and effective ways to improve nonverbal communication through case study.     

A mobile accessible closed multi-part group communication scheme in IPv6 network

To solve the problems of current IP multicast which includes poor inter-domain many-to-many group support, security vulnerabilities and dependency to specific multicast infrastructure, a mobile accessible closed multi-part group （MACMPG） communication protocol in IPv6 network is proposed. By extending the single source multicast protocol, the communication channel for multi-part group communication across domains is established. Based on lPv6 CGA, the secure closed group communication scheme is designed. The access to the multicast traffic only confined to the authorized senders and receivers and only trusted routers are allowed to be the branch points of MACMPG tree. By tunneling mechanism, the MACMPG traffic can be transmitted across non-MACMPG routing area, and the mobile nodes can join the group remotely and roam freely between domains, which eliminates the dependency on specific IP multicast routing.     

To Learn Literature is to Learn Communication As Well A Comment on Postmodernism

It is well known that to learn a language means to learn how to communicate with others. But in the author＇s eyes few Chinese teachers think that to learn literature means to learn communication as well. The author explores the inside relationship between literature and communication in her thesis. She analyzes some great works of postmodernism to show different kinds of communication in order to enable both teachers and students of English to pay even greater attention to literature as a medium of communication.     

Secure communication by generalized chaotic synchronization

Chaotic communication is a rather new and active field of research. Although it is expected to have promising advantages,some investigators provide evidences that chaotic communication is not safety. This letter provides a new chaotic secure communication scheme based on a generalized synchronization theory of coupled system. The secret message hidden in the chaotic source signal generated via the scheme is very difficult to be unmasked by so-called nonlinear dynamic forecasting technique. One example for Internet communications was presented to illustrate the security of our scheme.     

Unitary Noise and the Mermin-GHZ Game

Communication complexity is an area of classical computer science which studies how much communication is necessary to solve various distributed computational problems.Quantum information processing can be used to reduce the amount of communication required to carry out some distributed problems.We speak of pseudo-telepathy when it is able to completely eliminate the need for communication.Since it is generally very hard to perfectly implement a quantum winning strategy for a pseudo-telepathy game,quantum players are almost certain to make errors even though they use a winning strategy.After introducing a model for pseudotelepathy games,we investigate the impact of erroneously performed unitary transformations on the quantum winning strategy for the Mermin-GHZ game.The question of how strong the unitary noise can be so that quantum players would still be better than classical ones is also dealt with.     

The Use of Graphene-Based Earphones in Wireless Communication

Graphene-based materials have attracted much attention in recent years. Many researchers have demonstrated prototypes using graphene-based materials, but few specific applications have appeared. Graphenebased acoustic devices have become a popular topic. This paper describes a novel method to fabricate graphenebased earphones by laser scribing. The earphones have been used in wireless communication systems. A wireless communication system was built based on an ARM board. Voice from a mobile phone was transmitted to a graphene-based earphone. The output sound had a similar wave envelope to that of the input; some differences were introduced by the DC bias added to the driving circuit of the graphene-based earphone. The graphene-based earphone was demonstrated to have a great potential in wireless communication.     

Some Aspects on Oral English Teaching in Universities in China

English is one of the most important foreign languages taught in universities in China. However, the results are often far from satisfactory. Students in universities often find it hard to express themselves in oral English after many years' study. Language is the most important means of human communication, and communication is the most important function of language. Therefore, the ultimate goal of language instruction is to equip the learners with the ability to use the language for communication. How to help undergraduates to improve their oral English becomes a big challenge for English teachers in China. Aiming to make some contributions to improve undergraduates' oral English, this paper explores some areas of concern which are believed to be the most critical to the success of Oral English Teaching (OET) in China. The first part of this paper discusses some existing factors that constrain OET in China. It followed by exploring some aspects on improving OET for undergraduates in China. It also provides some techniques/methods essential for OET teachers to employ in a classroom.

Optimal Packet Size of Underwater Sensor Networks

Parameter optimization of nodes communication is the foundation of underwater sensor networks.The packet size is an important indicator of the impact of communication performance.As a result,the optimal packet size selection is a critical issue in improving the communication performance.This paper aims to make a model reflecting the communication characteristics as the optimization target,because underwater sensor networks have the characteristics of high time delay,high energy consumption and high bit error rate.Finally,simulation experiments and theory have demonstrated the effectiveness and timeliness of simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation(SPSA) algorithm.     

RF channel performance assessment for a multiple carrier millimeter-wave communication system

Channel capacity, system versatility and ease of maintenance are factors of prime concern in future generations of wireless communication systems. As a result, millimeter-wave can offer considerable advantages in providing broadband interface. Nonlinearity and noise effects, including parametric fluctuations, are two significant causes for signal degradation in broadband communication systems. Two methods to assess the performance of an RF channel in a multi-carrier system are described. By measuring the forward transfer function from transmitter IF to receiver IF as the frequency is swept across the channel bandwidth, characteristics such as gain flatness, channel dispersion, and saturation effects are revealed. To evaluate the ability of the communication link in preserving the synchronization between two carriers, their heterodyned spectrum at the receiver IF output is studied. Both measurement methods employ standard equipment and have been found to be effective when applied to a multi-carrier millimeter-wave system with over 1 GHz instantaneous bandwidth.     

Reliability-aware mapping and links voltage assignment for energy-efficient networks-on-chip

As feature sizes shrink, low energy consumption, high reliability and high performance become key objectives of network-on-chip （NoC） design. In this paper, an integrated approach is presented to map IP cores onto NoC architecture and assign voltage levels for each link, such that the communication energy is minimized under constraints of bandwidth and reliability. The design space is explored using tabu search. In order to select optimal voltage level for the links, an energy-efficiency driven heuristic algorithm is proposed to perform energy/reliability trade-off by exploiting communication slack. Experimental results show that the ordinary energy optimization techniques ignoring the influence of voltage on fault rates could lead to drastically decreased communication reliability of NoCs, and the proposed approach can produce reliable and energy-efficient implementations.     

Impact of Informatics on QIPC

Quantum information processing and communication(QIPC) is an area of science that has two main goals: On one side,it tries to explore(still not well known) potential of quantum phenomena for(efficient and reliable) information processing and(efficient,reliable and secure) communication.On the other side,it tries to use quantum information storing,processing and transmitting paradigms,principles,laws,limitations,concepts,models and tools to get deeper insights into the phenomena of quantum world and to find efficient ways to describe and handle/simulate various complex physical phenomena.In order to do that QIPC has to use concepts,models,theories,methods and tools of both physics and informatics.The main role of physics at that is to discover primitive physical phenomena that can be used to design and maintain complex and reliable information storing,processing and transmitting systems.The main role of informatics is,one one side,to explore,from the information processing and communication point of view,limitations and potentials of the potential quantum information processing and communication technology,and to prepare information processing methods that could utilise potential of quantum information processing and communication technologies.On the other side,the main role of informatics is to guide and support,by theoretical tools and outcomes,physics oriented research in QIPC.The paper is to describe and analyse a variety of ways and potential informatics contributes and should/could contribute to the development of QIPC--see also Gruska(1999,2006,2008).     

A study on the Features of English Legal language

In recent years, China is deepening reform and opening up to the outside world especially after China’s successful accession to theWTO. In this respect, legal communication plays an important part in the intercourse between different countries, and the basic features oflegal language can be noticed in specific situations in legal communication. In this thesis, the Lexical features, Semantic features, Grammaticaland Structural features of legal language are introduced.     

Control and Communication Network in Hybrid Fuel Cell Vehicles

This paper describes the control and communication network in fuel cell vehicles, including both the protocol and the hardware. Based on the current protocol (ISO-11898 and SAE J1939), a new practical protocol is proposed and implemented for the control and communication network in fuel ceil vehicles. To improve the reliability of data communication and to unify the network management, a new network system based on dual-port RAM is also implemented.
