High-frequency induction in vivo of mouse leukemia in AKR strain by 5-azacytidine and 5-iodo-2′-deoxyuridine

Zusammenfassung Nachweis der leukämogenen Wirkung von 5-Azacytidin und 5-Jod-2-Desoxuridin beim Stamm der AKR-Mäuse. Es wird angenommen, dass es sich hierbei um eine Virusinduktion handelt.     

The effects of antineoplastic agents of the respiratory activity of murine lymphocytic leukemia L1210

Résumé On a évalué des effets de plusieurs agents antinéoplastiques sur la consommation d'oxygène des lymphocytes leucémiques L1210 de la souris et on les a mis en corrélation avec l'activité antitumorale de chaque composition. Cette étude indique qu'il n'y a pas de rapport apparent entre ces deux paramètres de l'action des drogues.

Antiproliferative effects of 4',5'-unsaturated adenine nucleosides on leukemia L1210 cells in vitro

Several 4',5'-unsaturated adenine nucleosides were shown to have antiproliferative activity against L1210 leukemia cells in vitro. The active nucleosides were cytotoxic to the L1210 cells as demonstrated by Trypan Blue uptake. The cytotoxicity was not induced by alterations in the ribonucleoside and deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate levels of the L1210 cells.     

The L-4946 leukemia in the CF1 mouse

Zusammenfassung Mittels Ultrazentrifugation von infektiöser Ascitesflüssigkeit bei 125.000×g und einem gereinigten zellfreien Extrakt konnte ein RNS-Virus als infektiöses Agens und Ursache der Leukämie und eines Lymphosarkoms nachgewiesen werden. Einzelne Mäusestämme erwiesen sich als resistent.

Effect of 5-azacytidine on developing mouse embryo

Zusammenfassung 5-Azacytidin wurde trächtigen Mäusen am 4.–6. und 11.–13. Tag verabreicht. Bei der ersten Gruppe zeigte sich eine völlige Resorption der Feutusse, während in der zweiten Gruppe hauptsächlich die Leber und das Nervengewebe geschädigt waren. In der ependymalen Zone werden die in Teilung befindlichen Zellen in der Metaphase gestoppt und unterliegen einer pyknotischen Degeneration.     

Growth inhibitory effects of adenosine 3′,5′-monophosphate on mouse leukemia L-5178-Y-R cells in culture

Résumé La croissance des cellules leucémie murine L-5178-Y-R gène le cycle AMP dans les cultures. Le taux des syntèses décroit d'une manière significative après 4 et 6 h pour le RNA et après 8 h pour la protéine. Le taux de la syntèse de DNA décroit quelque peu entre 1 et 6 h et d'une façon accentuée après 8 h.     

Effect of methotrexate on glycolysis of leukemia L 1210 cells cultivated in vitro]

Methotrexate, at non lethal doses, alters the glycolysis of leukaemic L 1210 cells. Glucose uptake and lactate excretion are increased but lactate/glucose ratio remains constant. The activity of glycolytic enzymes in the cytoplasm is increased and the level of intracellular ATP is greatly enhanced.     

Studies on the murine L-4946 ascitic leukemia in Swiss albino mice

Partial reversal of toxic effects of 5-azacytidine by 6-azauridine in normal mice

Zusammenfassung Die partielle Blockierung der toxischen Effekte von 5-Azacytidin in normalen Mäusen mit Uridin, Cytidin und 6-Azauridin wird beschrieben. Die Hemmung der toxischen Effekte eines Antimetaboliten durch einen anderen kann für die Krebschemotherapie von Bedeutung sein.
