Zusammenfassung Nach Indiumnitratinjektion bei Goldhamstern mit 8-tägiger Schwangerschaft wird eine erhöhte Mortalität der Embryonen sowie Gliedmassenanomalie gefunden. Bei gleichzeitiger Verabreichung von Eisendextran (Imferon) werden die Embryonalschäden weitgehend unterdrückt.

Zusammenfassung Der Verfasser beschreibt eine Apparatur zur objektiven Auswertung der Papierelektrophoretogramme. Er benützt ein Coleman-Spektrophotometer und einen besonders entwickelten Adapter.     

The influence of albumin on the electrophoretic mobility of serum lipids

Zusammenfassung Im Gegensatz zuMaurers Angaben konnte keine Wirkung des dem Puffer zugegebenen Serum-Albumins auf die elektrophoretische Wanderung von Serumphospholipiden und Cholesterin im menschlichen und tierischen Serum festgestellt werden.Maurers Befunde scheinen auf einer durch Adsorptionseffekte bewirkten Veränderung der Lipoproteine zu beruhen.

Effect of human serum oxytocinase on the antidiuretic action of lysine vasopressin and oxytocin in the rat

Zusammenfassung Nach i.v. Dauerinfusion von Lysin-Vasopressin oder Oxytocin wird bei der experimentellen Analyse der Wirkung menschlicher Oxytocinase eine Erniedrigung des antidiuretischen Effekts gefunden; diese rührt vom Absinken der Peptidkonzentration sowohl im Blutplasma als auch am Wirkort her.     

A simple paper chromatographic method for the study of serum protein patterns in health and disease

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine einfache Methode zur Trennung und Differenzierung der Serumproteine mit Hilfe der Papierchromatographie (Rundfilter-Papierchromatographie) beschrieben. Die Chromatogramme zeigen charakteristische Unterschiede der Albumin- und Globulinfraktionen bei normalen Seren und bei Seren von Patienten mit Leberzirrhose.

Studies on the late-pre-beta-lipoprotein of human serum.

Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) isolated from 3 healthy normolipidaemic subjects had a raised VLDL cholesterol to triglyceride ratio. The VLDL fractions gave 2 pre-beta-bands on agarose gel electrophoresis. Family study of the subjects appears to indicate sex linkage of this trait and a possible polygenic type of inheritance.     

Correction of the anomalous electrophoretic behavior of ribonuclease A

Ribonuclease A behaves anomalously on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis at acid pH. The distance traveled by the protein is a function of the amount of enzyme added at the lower range of detectable activity (10 pg to 100 ng). Addition of myoglobin (1 mg/ml) abolishes the anomaly. The observations are consistent with the known affinity of RNase for anions. Caution is warranted in the interpretation of apparent electrophoretic variants of RNase observed at low concentrations of enzyme.

An electrophoretic investigation of the binding of 3-14C coumarin to rat serum proteins

Summary The binding of coumarin to serum proteins of the rat has been demonstrated. Of the total bound coumarin (37% of injected dose), 36% was bound to the slow and fast ₁ globulins, 11% to the post albumins, 10% to globulin and 9% to albumin.
