Influence of hypophyseal intermediate lobe tissue and colloid on the reticuloendothelial cells of the liver

Zusammenfassung Gewebe des Hypophysenzwischenlappens und das Kolloid wirken auf Endothelzellen ein. Sie vermögen die retikuloendothelialen Zellen der Leber zur Mitose anzuregen. Diese Zellen scheinen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Übermittlung von endokrinen Stoffen und der Regulation des retikuloendothelialen Systems zu spielen.     

Effect of blockade or stimulation of the reticuloendothelial system on the blood clearance kinetics of the anticholinesterase insecticide carbaryl in the rat]

The blood clearances of 14C-carbaryl and collo?dal carbon were studied in Rats with reticuloendothelial system (RES) inhibited or activated, and in control Rats. A correlation was established between the blood clearance kinetics of carbon particles and carbaryl; such data support the concept of the contribution of the RES in the disappearance of carbaryl from the circulation.

Zusammenfassung Es wird nachgewiesen, dass -Tocopherol, nicht aber Tocopheronolacton, die Entstehung der Fettleber durch einmalige Alkoholbelastung bei der Ratte hemmt.     

Effect of feeding pattern on fatty acid oxidation by rat liver slices

Zusammenfassung Intermittierendes Hungern führt bei Albinoratten zu einer 2–3fachen Erhöhung derin vitro Oxydation von Palmitat-1-C¹⁴ bei Leberschnitten. Dies im Vergleich zuad libitum gefütterten oder kontinuierlich unterernährten Tieren.     

Effect of free fatty acids and cholesterol in vitro on liver plasma membrane-bound enzymes

The effect of cholesterol and fatty acid treatment in vitro was tested on rat liver plasma membrane-bound enzymes and lipid fluidity. The observed alterations of membrane fluidity affect both (Na+-K+)-ATPase and Mg2+-ATPase activities but not 5'-nucleotidase; basal adenylate cyclase as well as its hormonal sensitivity were differentially affected by changes of membrane microenvironment.

Summary The effect of cholesterol and fatty acid treatment in vitro was tested on rat liver plasma membrane-bound enzymes and lipid fluidity. The observed alterations of membrane fluidity affect both (Na⁺–K⁺)-ATPase and Mg²⁺-ATPase activities but not 5-nucleotidase; basal adenylate cyclase as well as its hormonal sensitivity were differentially affected by changes of membrane microenvironment.This investigation was partially supported by the Italian National Research Council.

Zusammenfassung Die fettsäurenmobilisierende Wirkung des Tyramins an Ratten liess sich durch Vorbehandlung mit-Methyl-m-Tyrosin, nicht jedoch mit-Methyl-Dopa verhindern.In vitro war die lipolytische Wirkung des aus-Methyl-Dopa entstehenden-Methyl-Noradrenalin (Corbasil) mehr als 1000mal stärker als diejenige des aus-Methyl-m-Tyrosin entstehenden Metaraminol (Aramin).     

Effect of fatty acids on the contraction of guinea-pig ileum in vitro

Zusammenfassung Untersuchung der Wirkung von essentiellen Fettsäuren auf die Kontraktion des isolierten Meerschwein-Ileums ergab, dass besonders die direkten Vorläufer von Prostaglandin E₁ und E₂, nämlich Dihomo--Linolensäure und Arachidonsäure, aktiv sind.
