Hematopoietic changes in NMRI mice after the intravenous and subcutaneous injection ofBordetella pertussis vaccine

Zusammenfassung Sowohl die i.v. als auch die s.c. Injektion abgetöteter Zellen vonBordetella pertussis führt bei Mäusen zu Splenomegalie und ausgeprägter Blut-Leukozytose, an der Lymphozyten und Granulozyten beteiligt sind. Zudem bewirkte die Injektion vonB. pertussis eine deutliche Verminderung der Erythrocyten mit Minimalwerten am 5. Tag. Am 10. Tag und danach wurden wieder Normalwerte gefunden.

Hepatic and cerebral coenzyme a contents after intravenous injection of coenzyme a in rats

Summary Hepatic CoA concentrations and contents were significantly higher in rats having received i.v. CoA injections than in control rats. Maximum hepatic CoA concentrations were found 0.5–1 h after injection. In rat brain, no increase in CoA concentration was detected after i. v. injection of CoA.Acknowledgments. We thank MissV. Effects of low doses of ochratoxin A after intratesticular injection in the rat

Summary The toxic effect of various doses of ochratoxin A on the rat testis was investigated after a single intratesticular injection. At time of sacrifice (day 10) degenerating changes occur in the testicular tissues: seminiferous tubules dilatation, cytolysis of the seminiferous epithelium, hyperplasia of the interstitial tissue, vascular thrombosis. The relations between the blood supply disturbances and the observed lesions are discussed.

Increased proliferation of rat mesothelial cells after intraperitoneal endotoxin injection

Zusammenfassung Die i.p. Injektion von Endotoxin führt bei der Ratte zum vermehrten Auftreten von Mitosen in Mesothelzellen. Vereinzelt kommt es zur Verbreiterung der Interzellularräume, äusserst selten treten Siegelringzellen auf. Es wird vermutet, dass eine geringe endotoxinbedingte Zellschädigung den Stimulus zur Mesothelzellproliferation darstellt.     

Distribution of carbon after intravenous injection in the normal rabbit. leakage into the synovium but not other non-reticuloendothelial tissues

Résumé Le charbon noir, administré par injection intraveineuse, s'échappe des vénules synoviales normales, mais pas des vénules de tissus non-réticuloendothéliaux. Cette conclusion vient à l'appui d'autres études qui révélèrent un plus haut degré de perméabilité des vaisseaux synoviaux, qualité peut-être importante pour la localisation, dans l'articulation, de l'agent (ou des agents) qui causent l'arthrite rhumatoïde ou d'autres arthrites inflammatoires.     

Autoradiographic localization of radioactivity in female rat neocortex after injection of tritiated estradiol

Zusammenfassung Durch autoradiographische Untersuchung wurde die Einlagerung von Radioaktivität in ein begrenztes Gebiet des Neocortex der Rattenweibchen nach einmaliger Verabreichung von³H-Östradiol im Alter von 5 bis 50 Tagen nachgewiesen. Die reduzierten Silberkörner zeigen eine vorwiegend perinukleare Akkumulation, was für die Zellen der östrogen-Zielgewebe typisch ist.     

Synthesis of nuclear and mitochondrial DNA in rat liver after injection of the carcinogenic compound diethylnitrosamine

Résumé L'injection de diéthylnitrosamine à des rats provoque, dans les heures qui suivent, une inhibition de synthèse plus forte au niveau du DNA nucléaire du foie qu'au niveau du DNA mitochondrial. A la phase d'inhibition succède une stimulation de synthèse de nDNA, avec retour à un niveau normal de la synthèse de mtDNA.

Differences between the soluble mitochondrial proteins in various organs of the rat

Résumé Les phérogrammes obtenus après électrophorèse en acrylamide des protéines mitochondriales solubles du rein, du foie et du cur, montrent des différences dans ces 3 organes. Le profil électrophorétique est reproductible et caractéristique pour la fraction mitochondriale de ces organes.     

Physiological activities of chondroitin polysulfate: the short-term effect of intravenous injection

Zusammenfassung Chondroitin-Polysulfat führt nach intravenöser Injektion bei hyperlipämischen Kaninchen kurzfristig zu Verminderung der Turbidität und des Cholesteringehaltes im Serum und Beschleunigung der elektrophoretischen Mobilität des Serumlipoproteins.     

Paper electrophoresis separation of the soluble proteins of rat muscle sarcosomes

Riassunto Viene descritta la presenza, nel succo dei sarcosomi del muscolo di ratto, di 4 componenti proteici separabili mediante elettroforesi su carta. I 4 componenti sono rappresentati nella misura di rispettivamente 26.1, 18.4, 33.2 e 22.3 per 100 delle proteine totali.     

Paper electrophoresis of soluble proteins of rat liver mitochondria

Riassunto Mediante elettroforesi su carta si dimostra la presenza nei lisati di mitocondri di fegato di ratto di almeno 5 componenti proteici. Le colorazioni specifiche dimostrano la presenza di 3 frazioni lipoproteiche e di altrettante glicoproteiche. I lisati dei mitocondri vennero ottenuti qer trattamento delle particelle con Triton X-100.
