Biomimetic synthesis of cannabispiran

Electrochemical synthesis of cysteinyldopas

Summary A fast and inexpensive method for the synthesis of mon- and dicysteinyldopas is described. Dopa is oxidized by electrochemical techniques, and cysteine is then added to give cysteinyldopas.Acknowledgment. The synthesis of jaceidin

Zusammenfassung Durch Kondensation nachAllan-Robinson wurde aus 2,4,6-Trihydroxy-3, -dimethoxy-acetophenon das 4-Benzyloxy-5,7-dihydroxy-3,6,3-trimethoxyflavon dargestellt. Entbenzylierung in C-4-Stellung führte zum 5,7,4-Trihydroxy-3,6,3-trimethoxyflavon. Die Eigenschaften dieser Verbindung und ihre Derivate sind identisch mit dem ausCentaurea jacea L. isolierten Jaceidin bzw. seinen Derivaten.     

The synthesis of ecdysone

Zusammenfassung Ecdyson, ein Häutungshormon der Insekten, wurde ausgehend von Ergosterin in 14 Stufen synthetisiert. Wesentliche Zwischenprodukte waren (20S)-2, 3-Diacetoxy-20-formyl-5-pregn-7-en-6-on und (22R)-2, 3-Diacetoxy-14, 22-dihydroxy-25-(tetrahydropyran-2-yloxy)-5-cholest-7-en-6-on.

Biology-inspired synthesis of compound libraries

Biologically active small molecules represent the basis for chemical biology applications in which small molecules are used as chemical tools to probe biological processes. The total synthesis of delphinine: A stereoselective synthesis of an advanced relay compound

Zusammenfassung Die stereoselektive Totalsynthese eines Delphininabbauproduktes wird beschrieben. Dieses Produkt, das 5 Ringe und 5 Substituenten besitzt, ist von Delphinin aus leicht zugänglich und kann deshalb als Relais-Verbindung für die Totalsynthese dieses Alkaloids dienen.

Chromosomal control of nucleolar synthesis

Zusammenfassung Aus cytologischen Inaktivierungs-experimenten wird der Beweis abgeleitet, dass die Nucleolus-Synthese auf jenen Chromosomeneigenschaften beruhe, die mit ihrer pro-phasischen Verdichtung und Färbbarkeit eng verknüpft ist. Es scheint dies darauf hinzudeuten, dass DNA derjenige Bestandteil des Chromosoms ist, welcher die Bildung von Nucleolen steuert.

Reaction step requiring protein synthesis in DNA synthesis in sea urchin embryos

Summary In the acid-soluble fraction extracted from embryos treated with cycloheximide, thymidine triphosphate was largely accumulated and DNA polymerase activity decreased, while both activities of thymidine kinase and thymidylate kinase remained unchanged.     

A simple synthesis of nicotinic aldehyde

Zusammenfassung Nikotinaldehyd wurde durch ein dreistufiges Verfahren aus Krotonaldehyd in einer Gesamtausbeute von 40% erhalten.
