Orchidectomy plus estradiol administration decreased acetylcholinesterase activity in the rat cerebral cortex and mesencephalon, while in the amygdala it was increased. In the adenohypophysis, orchidectomy increased enzyme activity, but subsequent estradiol treatment decreased it. The hypothalamus did not respond to either manipulation.  相似文献

Résumé La présente étude a rélévé chez le rat des différences entre l'AChE du cerveau et celle du muscle, en ce qui concerne les pH optima, la température d'inactivation, le Km, les courbes de saturation et la réponse aux inhibiteurs. L'existence de sites allostériques différents dans l'enzyme des deux organes a aussi été observée. L'auteur suggère que ces propriétés cinétiques distinctes tiennent, en partie du moins, à des différences histophysiologiques entre les synapses de ces deux tissus.  相似文献

The activities of mitochondrial, manganese-containing superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) and cytoplasmic, copper-zinc-containing superoxide dismutase (CuZnSOD) were measured in subcellular fractions of whole brain homogenates prepared from intact and gonadectomized (GDX) male rats, untreated or treated subcutaneously (sc) with a single dose of 2 mg progesterone (P) and/or 5 g estradiol benzoate (EB). Neither MnSOD nor CuZnSOD was affected by the removal of the testes. Similarly, CuZnSOD activity was steady following systemic administration of P and/or EB to intact and GDX animals 2 h or 24 h prior to sacrifice. On the other hand, both P and EB suppressed MnSOD in the brain of either intact or GDX rats. These results suggest involvement of P and EB in the control of MnSOD activity in the brain of male rats.  相似文献

Summary Estradiol in vitro produces a significant increase in the incorporation of3H-leucine into proteins of the anterior hypothalamic area in prepuberal female rats, 15 and 20 days old, but not in younger animals. The ovarian hormone induced no changes in the protein synthetic activity of middle and posterior hypothalamus and cerebral cortex in prepuberal female rats of different ages. Résumé La trémorine a été administrée chez les rats quotidiennement pendant 7 jours à des doses de 7.5, 22.5 ou 30 mg/kg. Les témoins ont montré des mouvements convulsifs proportionnels à la dose de trémorine. Quatre jours après l'arrêt du traitement, l'activité acétylcholinestérasique du cortex cérébral était augmentée. Il est proposé que ce change de l'activité acétylcholinestérasique reflète une utilisation accrue de l'acétylcholine corticale.

Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) activity was determined in cerebral cortex, hypothalamus, hippocampus, cerebellum, medulla oblongata, midbrain and adrenal gland of rats exposed to acute or chronic stress. The exposure of animals to acute immobilization and cold stress (4°C) for one hour resulted in a significant decline of ChAT activity in all brain regions examined except for the medulla oblongata. Moreover, the exposure to acute stress resulted in significant increase of the same enzyme in the adrenal gland. However, chronic exposure of animals to cold stress (4°C) for 7 days resulted in no significant changes of ChAT activity in all tissues examined except for a decline in the midbrain and an increase in the medulla oblongata. The administration of corticosterone (2.0 mg/kg) 1 h prior to sacrificing caused an effect similar to that of acute stress on ChAT activity in all brain regions except for the hypothalamus and the cerebellum. Résumé Nous avons déterminé l'activité spécifique de l'aconitase cérébrale des souris après une période de 108 jours de traitement avec du lithium (Li2CO3). Une inhibition significative de l'enzyme à été observée. D'autre part, nous n'avons trouvé in vitro aucun effet du Li2CO3 sur l'aconitase cérébrale.

The hormone concentrations were determined by radioimmunoassay. The administration of BE resulted in a significant reduction of the AVP level in the amygdala in a naloxone-reversible manner. Naloxone (Nal) administered subcutaneously significantly increased the AVP content in the septum.
