Resumen Se estudió el efecto del ARN proveniente del bazo de ratas inmunizadas a un sarcoma transplantable (Sarcoma E 100) en el crecimiento del mismo. Se inyectó ARN normal y ARN de ratas inmunizadas a dos grupos de animales 5 días antes de la implantación del tumor, tomándose un tercer grupo como testigo normal. Los animales que recibieron el ARN inmune tuvieron tumores más pequeños que los de los dos testigos (p < 0.01), a los 30 días después del injerto. Se formula la hipótesis de que el ARN inmune posee la información (memoria inmunológica) para transformar una respuesta inmunitaria primaria en secundaria.

Résumé Les auteurs ont utilisé deux lots des Rates portantes. L'un d'eux a été soumis à la laparotomie et l'autre à une hépatectomie partielle le 16ème jour de la gestation. Les animaux ont été sacrifiés à des dates échelonnées après l'intervention. Le poids des embryons et celui de leur foie, ainsi que la teneur en DNA du foie ont été mésurés.L'hépatectomie de la mère ralentit la croissance des embryons sans aucun effet spécifique sur le foie embryonnaire.  相似文献

Tingenone and horminone, two natural quinonoid substances, inhibited the in vitro growth of Trypanosoma cruzi, 30 microM drug concentration producing total inhibition of growth. Tingenone inhibited total uptake and incorporation of [3H]thymidine, [3H]uridine, L-[3H]leucine into parasite macromolecules. Other quinonoids assayed were either less effective (abruquinone A) or even quite inactive (visminone B and ferruginin B). Investigation of several mechanisms for the cytotoxic action of tingenone pointed to the interaction with DNA as the most likely factor involved. Tingenone also inhibited the growth of Crithidia fasciculata, but the drug was significantly less active on this organism than on T. cruzi.  相似文献

Small intestinal explants from pre- and post-natal rats were incubated in an organ culture system in the absence and presence of epidermal growth factor (EGF). The rate of synthesis of small intestinal DNA and protein as well as the activity of lactase and alkaline phosphatase increased rapidly between 17 and 20-day gestational age, whereafter they declined. The maximal incorporation of 3H-thymidine and 14C-alanine into DNA and protein, respectively, was significantly stimulated by EGF (100 ng/ml). EGF had no effect on the activity of either lactase or alkaline phosphatase in the small intestinal explants.  相似文献

Intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) administration of des-Tyr1-gamma-endorphin (0.1 and 1.0 microgram) caused a decrease of the serotonin (5-HT) concentration of the hippocampus. The concentration of 5-HIAA and the pargyline-induced alterations in 5-HT and 5-HIAA were not affected. No effects were noticed in other brain regions.  相似文献

Summary Suramin given to rats in a single high dose (20 mg/100 g i.v.) stimulated renal growth.
