Various random models with balanced data that are relevant for analyzing practical test data are described, along with several hypothesis testing and interval estimation problems concerning variance components. In this paper, we mainly consider these problems in general random effect model with balanced data. Exact tests and confidence intervals for a single variance component corresponding to random effect are developed by using generalized p-values and generalized confidence intervals. The resulting procedures are easy to compute and are applicable to small samples. Exact tests and confidence intervals are also established for comparing the random-effects variance components and the sum of random-effects variance components in two independent general random effect models with balanced data. Furthermore, we investigate the statistical properties of the resulting tests. Finally, some simulation results on the type Ⅰ error probability and power of the proposed test are reported. The simulation results indicate that exact test is extremely satisfactory for controlling type Ⅰ error probability.  相似文献

Linear mixed effect models with skew-normal errors and distribution-free random effects are considered. The ANOVA-type F-tests are proposed to test the significance of random effects and the hypothesis on fixed effects of interest, respectively. Both tests are proved to be exact F-tests under this model, and the exact confidence interval for fixed effects of interest is derived. Simulation results are given to study the powers of ANOVA-type tests.  相似文献

The authors discuss the unbalanced two-way ANOVA model under heteroscedasticity. By taking the generalized approach, the authors derive the generalized p-values for testing the equality of fixed effects and the generalized confidence regions for these effects. The authors also provide their frequentist properties in large-sample cases. Simulation studies show that the generalized confidence regions have good coverage probabilities.  相似文献

The performances of preliminary test estimators for error variance based on W, LR and LM tests in a normal linear model are considered in this paper. Firstly, the risks of the proposed estimators are derived and compared by theoretical analysis and numerical calculation, respectively. The results show that their risks are related to the equality constraint error and the critical value of test. Moreover, the minimum value of the risks can be achieved when the critical value of test equals to one. Secondly, the superiority conditions of the proposed estimators are discussed. Finally, the results are illustrated by a simulation example.

This paper presents an advanced octree (AO-rep) model and an implicit formula of a generalized cutter model for five-axis milling simulation. First, the main ideal of the AO-rep model is building a hierarchical structure and representing solid volumes. The AO-rep model utilizes an octree to cull unrelated voxels, and generates a small-scale voxel model in grey octants when a cutter intersects these octants. Using a simplified intersection computation between a cube and triangles in E3, an STL model can be converted into its AO-rep model at a preprocessing stage. Second, the authors formulate an implicit function of a generalized cutter in moving cutter frame, and determine the function in fixed workpiece frame using the theory of a rigid body motion. Finally, the authors make a simulation of machining an impeller. The result shows that the proposed approach has a high performance of time and space.  相似文献

This paper proposes to use the blockwise empirical likelihood(EL) method to construct the confidence regions for the regression vector β in a partially linear model under negatively associated errors. It is shown that the blockwise EL ratio statistic for β is asymptotically χ~2 distributed. The result is used to obtain an EL-based confidence region for β. Results of a simulation study on the finite sample performance of the proposed confidence regions are reported.  相似文献

Generalized B-splines have been employed as geometric modeling and numerical simulation tools for isogeometric analysis(IGA for short). However, the previous models used in IGA,such as trigonometric generalized B-splines or hyperbolic generalized B-splines, are not the unified mathematical representation of conics and polynomial parametric curves/surfaces. In this paper,a unified approach to construct the generalized non-uniform B-splines over the space spanned by{α(t), β(t), ξ(t), η(t), 1, t, ···, t~(n-4)} is proposed, and the corresponding isogeometric analysis framework for PDE solving is also studied. Compared with the NURBS-IGA method, the proposed frameworks have several advantages such as high accuracy, easy-to-compute derivatives and integrals due to the non-rational form. Furthermore, with the proposed spline models, isogeometric analysis can be performed on the computational domain bounded by transcendental curves/surfaces, such as the involute of circle, the helix/helicoid, the catenary/catenoid and the cycloid. Several numerical examples for isogeometric heat conduction problems are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper introduces and considers a new system of generalized mixed variational inequalities in a Hilbert space,which includes many new and known systems of variational inequalities and generalized variational inequalities as special cases.By using the two concepts of 77-subdifferential andη-proximal mappings of a proper function,the authors try to demonstrate that the system of generalized mixed variational inequalities is equivalence with a fixed point problem.By applying the equivalence, a new and innovativeη-proximal point algorithm for finding approximate solutions of the system of generalized mixed variational inequalities will be suggested and analyzed.The authors also study the convergence analysis of the new iterative method under much weaker conditions.The results can be viewed as a refinement and improvement of the previously known results for variational inequalities.  相似文献

One important model in handling the multivariate data is the varying-coemcient partially linear regression model.In this paper,the generalized likelihood ratio test is developed to test whether its coefficient functions are varying or not.It is showed that the normalized proposed test follows asymptoticallyχ~2-distribution and the Wilks phenomenon under the null hypothesis,and its asymptotic power achieves the optimal rate of the convergence for the nonparametric hypotheses testing.Some simulation studies illustrate that the test works well.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the construction of one-Lee weight codes and two-Lee weight codes over F p + vF p (v 2 = v) with type \({p^{2{k_1}}}{p^{{k_2}}}{p^{{k_3}}}\) based on two different distance-preserving Gray maps from ((F p + vF p ) n , Lee weight) to (F p 2n , Hamming weight), where p is a prime. Distance-based regression model, as a nonparametric multivariate method, has been widely used to detect the association between variations in a distance or dissimilarity matrix for outcomes and predictor variables of interest in genetic association studies, genomic analyses, and many other research areas. Based on it, a pseudo-F statistic which partitions the variation in distance matrices is often constructed to achieve the aim. To the best of our knowledge, the statistical properties of the pseudo-F statistic has not yet been well established in the literature. To fill this gap, the authors study the asymptotic null distribution of the pseudo-F statistic and show that it is asymptotically equivalent to a mixture of chi-squared random variables. Given that the pseudo-F test statistic has unsatisfactory power when the correlations of the response variables are large, the authors propose a square-root F-type test statistic which replaces the similarity matrix with its square root. The asymptotic null distribution of the new test statistic and power of both tests are also investigated. Simulation studies are conducted to validate the asymptotic distributions of the tests and demonstrate that the proposed test has more robust power than the pseudo-F test. Both test statistics are exemplified with a gene expression dataset for a prostate cancer pathway.

对于长距离参考站网模糊度固定而言,Ratio检验和三角形模糊度闭合差(Triangle Ambiguities Closure Error,TACE)检验是最常用的两种模糊度检验手段,一般认为通过这两种检验后即可将模糊度固定。但事实上,在此情况下,模糊度被错误固定的情况经常出现。为此,本文提出了一种网解失败率(Network Failure Probability,NFP)检验方法,使用该方法可以计算出通过Ratio检验和TACE检验前提下参考站网模糊度固定的失败率。实验表明,当参考站数量小于等于8时,附加NFP检验后模糊度固定的正确率最高提高了25.4%,平均提高了8.1%,初始化成功率平均提高了4.3%。  相似文献

The estimation of generalized exponential distribution based on progressive censoring with binomial removals is presented,where the number of units removed at each failure time follows a binomial distribution.Maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters and their confidence intervals are derived.The expected time required to complete the life test under this censoring scheme is investigated.Finally,the numerical examples are given to illustrate some theoretical results by means of Monte-Carlo simulation.  相似文献

This paper applies bootstrap methods to LM tests(including LM-lag test and LM-error test) for spatial dependence in panel data models with fixed effects, and removes fixed effects based on orthogonal transformation method proposed by Lee and Yu(2010). The consistencies of LM tests and their bootstrap versions are proved, and then some asymptotic refinements of bootstrap LM tests are obtained. It shows that the convergence rate of bootstrap LM tests is O((N T)~(-2)) and that of fast double bootstrap LM tests is O((NT)~(-5/2)). Extensive Monte Carlo experiments suggest that,compared to aysmptotic LM tests, the size of bootstrap LM tests gets closer to the nominal level of signifiance, and the power of bootstrap LM tests is higher, especially in the cases with small spatial correlation. Moreover, when the error is not normal or with heteroskedastic, asymptotic LM tests suffer from severe size distortion, but the size of bootstrap LM tests is close to the nominal significance level.Bootstrap LM tests are superior to aysmptotic LM tests in terms of size and power.  相似文献

This paper studies a family of the local convergence of the improved secant methods for solving the nonlinear equality constrained optimization subject to bounds on variables. The Hessian of the Lagrangian is approximated using the DFP or the BFGS secant updates. The improved secant methods are used to generate a search direction. Combining with a suitable step size, each iterate switches to trial step of strict interior feasibility. When the Hessian is only positive definite in an affine null subspace, one shows that the algorithms generate the sequences converging q-linearly and two-step q-superlinearly. Furthermore, under some suitable assumptions, some sequences generated by the algorithms converge locally one-step q-superlinearly. Finally, some numerical results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.  相似文献

This article considers delay dependent decentralized H∞ filtering for a class of uncertain interconnected systems, where the uncertainties are assumed to be time varying and satisfy the norm-bounded conditions. First, combining the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and the delay integral inequality of matrices, a sufficient condition of the existence of the robust decentralized H∞ filter is derived, which makes the error systems asymptotically stable and satisfies the H∞ norm of the transfer function from noise input to error output less than the specified up-bound on the basis of the form of uncertainties. Then, the above sufficient condition is transformed to a system of easily solvable LMIs via a series of equivalent transformation. Finally, the numerical simulation shows the efficiency of the main results.  相似文献
