New vision and perspectives of Chinese science funding system

Facing the future, science funding should be in line with the Scientific （）utlook on Development as guidance, exert itself to playing a more important role in encouraging the further exploration, dredging the more source for innovation, advocating forward of interdisciplinary research, and fulfilling the wishes for foresting talents for opening up the new version and perspectives of the science funding system with Chi- nese characteristics.     

大科学与小科学

西方和东方都在刮“大科学”之风,大量的研究经费都投入到基因组学、蛋白质组学或“某某组学”等计划上。在中国,“大科学”符合了国家一向的习惯,即“由上而下”的方式来进行科研规划和运行。一些决策者们也认为“大科学”代表着未来科学发展的趋势。许多科学家都忙着篡写“大项目”的申请书,要求政府给予高达几亿到几十亿的经费。     

英国的e—科学核心计划和网格（上）

本以对e—科学(e—Science)这一术语的含义下定义为开始，介绍了英国提出的斥资1．2亿英镑的e—科学倡议，其中5000万英镑用于资助科学和技术领域中的大规模e—科学领头项目。支持这些项目所需要的基础设施，旨在使分散而多种多样的计算和数据资源的共享及科学家小组之间的有效合作成为可能。这样一种基础设施被称作网格(Grid)。除了2000万英镑用于一种Teraflop计算机外，约1500万英镑用于e—科学“核心计划”——目的是在与工业合作中推进健全而通用的网格中间件（middleware)的发展。中对核心计划的主要组成部分作了概述，包括一种e—科学网格测试台的细节，以及对早已向外界宣布的领头的e—科学项目作一简介，这些项目涉及从粒子物理学和天学到工程和保健等广泛的学科领域。除这些重要的e—科学项目外，核心计划还正在资助许多短期的e—科学示范项目，以及网络通信工程项目和一些国际合作活动。最后，我们用对开发一种网格的数据体系结构的必要性作一些评论来结束本，这种体系结构将使大家都能接通有关的数据库和平面件成为可能。

On October 24, 2005, at the invitation of NSFC, a delegation from the Academy Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt (ASRT), consisting of 2 delegates, headed by Prof. Shoukry, Vice President of ASRT, visited NSFC after attending the 28th General Assembly of the International Council for Science (ICSU) in Suzhou, China. 荣鹰诺贝尔奖后的生活

爱因斯坦和玻尔式的科学工作在年轻时为圆诺贝尔奖之梦而创造性地忘我工作着。由于1968年之前尚无诺贝尔经济学奖，因此，与我同时代的经济学家们可能不会有此工作动因。     

关于科学的几个问题

本文认为,科学与哲学和文化是紧密联系的,不可分割的,因此科学也是多元的,由于中西方文化有巨大差异,因此,中西方科学也有本质不同。
