Zusammenfassung Im Thorax-Ganglion vonPotamon magnum magnum wurden neurosekretorische Riesenzellen mit oder ohne Axone nachgewiesen. Diese zeigen während des sekretorischen Zyklus eine extreme Modifikation der Kerngrösse. Die Neurosekret-Granula wandern in das Perikaryon oder in die Axone ein. Summary 5 pairs of median and 1 pair of lateral neurosecretory cell groups occur in the protocerebrum of maleDysdercus koenigii, a hemipteran pest on Hibiscus esculentus. The lateral neurosecretory cells (LNSC) are in a state of peak activity when the male engages itself in copulation. 24 h later, the LNSC are found to be inactive, but they again resume their activity 96 h after commencement of copulation. Such males soon start mating if they find another receptive female. It is believed that the secretion of LNSC in maleDysdercus koenigii is responsible for the onset of the urge for mating just as in female insects.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Mit der Gömöri-Technik ist es möglich, zwei Typen neurosekretorischer Zellen im zerebralen Ganglion vonPotamon magnum magnum (Pretzman) nachzuweisen. Der eine Zellentyp ist gross, oval oder vieleckig, besitzt vakuolisiertes Zytoplasma und einen grossen zentralen Kern. Der Kernmembran anliegend befindet sich eine Zone basophiler zytoplasmatischer Substanz (einige dieser Zellen enthalten Axone). Der andere Zellentyp ist klein, besitzt nur wenig Zytoplasma, jedoch ebenfalls einen grossen Kern. Diese Zellen lassen nur geringe neurosekretorische Tätigkeit erkennen. Incubation of rat neural lobes with heavy meromyosin (HMM) after prolonged glycerination, induced characteristic arrowhead decoration of a number of microfilaments at different levels of the neurosecretory axons. In non terminal sections of axons the labelled microfilaments showed preferential relationships with microtubules in addition to occasional contacts with the axolemma and various axonal organelles. In axonal endings, they were mainly associated to microvesicles and appeared to be anchored on the axolemma facing the perivascular space at the level of membranous densifications.  相似文献

Summary A new technique which removes all membranes, cytoskeletal elements, organelles, but preserves intact metaphase, anaphase and telophase configurations is combined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) as an approach for direct visualization of chromosomal behavior in late mitosis. With this approach we are able to confirm the presence of a centromeric ring which stabilizes the centromeres during the cell cycle and present evidence for a lattice-like sheet of interchromatidic fibers in late mitosis.Supported by the National Institute of Health Grant CA32572 to L. Antibodies against hyperglycemic hormone (CHH) of Carcinus were raised in rabbits by injection of extract from sinus glands which contain high concentrations of CHH. The antiserum neutralizes the biological activity of CHH and binds 125-J-CHH. A RIA for CHH was established and was used to measure the hormone content of sinus glands.  相似文献

The Fluorochrome Geranine G binds to acidophilic neurosecretory cells and produces red orange fluorescence. Chromolipids and pigments show green fluorescence. This method is easy and sensitive. Fluorescence fading during irradiation is low.  相似文献

Summary A multiplicity of types of neurosecretory cell (NSC), and uniformity in the numbers occurring in medial, lateral, posterior and tritocerebral groups, have been observed inP. ricini. 3 types of cells A, B and C, with their subtypes (A-1, A-2, A-3; B-1, B-2; C-1 and C-2) have been reported. Only B-cells increase in numbers during post-embryonic development. Others (A and C) remain constant throughout development. Summary Neurosecretory substance has been identified in the rostral process of bipolar neurosecretory cells of the caudal neurosecretory system in 4 Indian catfishes, using acid violet stain.
