This article explores the impact of the new sustainability agenda on the occupational and professional needs of those who have taken educational and training programmes in the environmental field either at undergraduate or postgraduate level or through relevant professional institutions’ continuing professional development programmes. It also describes a one-day workshop for the professionals on sustainable development, based on systems thinking and practice. The workshop provides a model for developing greater understanding and effective action in professional practice, by using dialogue and interprofessional learning to explore approaches to sustainability in a variety of business and professional contexts. It introduces the principles underpinning the concept of sustainability and provides tools to support the integration of sustainable development into professional practice and organisational change.  相似文献

In this study, the key drivers of sustainability commitment, green supply chain management, big data integration and green human resource practice are explored, and the impact of these sustainable capabilities on the environmental and financial performance of banks is also elaborated. In addition, the influence of green management practices on integrating big data technology into operations is presented. As for the concept of dynamic ability, it has been used to recommend and empirically test conceptual models. Data were collected through a self-administrated survey questionnaire on 317 people working in 37 banks in six Asian countries. Research suggests that big data analytics strategies have an impact on internal processes and on the stability and financial performance of banks. Besides,it is indicated that banks are committed to proper data monitoring of their customers to complete operational efficiency and sustainability goals. Furthermore, our result proved that banks practicing Green Innovation strategies experience better environmental and economic performance because their employees are already trained in Green HR. Finally, from our study, it was found that internal and external green supply chain management practices have a positive effect on the environmental and financial performance of banks, thus ensuring that the bank of Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) mitigates the environmental impact through its operations and ultimately experiences an increase in financial performance.  相似文献

多阶段任务系统(PMS)是一种典型的复杂系统,它包括多个在时间上连续且无相互重叠的阶段任务,执行作战与使用任务的武器装备多数属于这种复杂系统。分析了PMS及任务可靠度、可信度和任务效能等任务持续能力评价参数。结合实际装备系统大都属于可用马尔可夫过程进行描述的可修复系统的特点,为简化模型复杂程度提出了一些合理的假设条件。在此基础上,结合多阶段任务系统自身特点,通过分析多阶段任务系统任务持续能力建模仿真步骤,多阶段任务系统任务效能仿真方法,建立了基于Petri网的多阶段任务系统任务效能多层仿真模型。最后结合常见的"靶场打靶"任务进行了实例验证,并对仿真结果进行了分析。  相似文献

作为高新技术产业早期发展的微观体现,高新技术创业企业的可持续发展决定着高新技术产业的可持续发展,故而需要对高新技术创业企业的可持续发展能力进行评价,但其评价具有高度不确定性和困难性。软计算理论能够允许不精确性、不确定性、部分真值以及近似表达,故而能够使得问题变得易于处理,从而获得鲁棒性和求解费用的降低,以及与现实的更加相符。利用软计算的核心方法之一-模糊逻辑给出的可持续发展能力评价模型包括语言变量以及模糊化过程、模糊规则库与模糊推理、逆模糊化与模糊结论等三个步骤。利用该评价模型,对上海意兆电脑公司的实证研究表明该创业企业可持续发展能力的评价值偏低,其需要引进创业酱,以改善其企业管理、财务营、产品连销等。  相似文献

Water conflicts constitute an important example of some of the most complex and critical environmental issues the 21st century is facing. Recently, much research effort has been put into managing the various dimensions of water issues in a more holistic way through Integrated Water Management approaches. In parallel, numerous water conflicts have arisen and isolated methods and institutional responses have been developed to deal with them. In this paper, I explain why integrating issues of water security within water management considerations is important, in order to prevent water conflicts from arising. I also advocate the use of Information and Communication Technologies as inclusive, democratic systems of water governance. After exploring how and why systems methods and ICTs could contribute to taking the complexity of water issues into account as well as promoting a democratic and sustainable mode of water management, the paper presents an online systemic water conflict management method. This is the initial result of a joint research project between the systems department of the Open University and the PCCP-IHE programme of UNESCO. It shows that working with systems methods and ICTs can help transform traditionally linear modes of negotiation into collaborative learning, holistic, interest-based modes of negotiations. Without using such an approach, that enables the integration of water management, hydropolitics and online governance, the management of (complex and systemic) water conflicts, despite the development of alternative dispute resolution methods, is at risk of remaining linear, mostly based on hard data, un-participatory and non-systemic in nature.

针对区域创新系统可持续发展及其对于国家和地区获取竞争优势的重要性,从生态位视角研究了区域创新系统的可持续性.引入减弱系统数据受冲击扰动影响的二阶缓冲算子,借鉴广义关联度思想,基于绝对生态位适宜度和相对生态位适宜度改进的生态位适宜度模型,构建了区域创新系统可持续性综合生态位适宜度模型(Fta模型).根据区域创新系统的特征,在建立区域创新系统可持续性生态位适宜度的指标体系基础上,对湖南区域创新系统可持续性进行了评价.通过结果分析,表明综合适宜度模型Fta不仅能够体现生态因子现实值与最适值之间的贴近程度,而且也能反映出二者相对于测度始点变化速度的接近程度,更能全面表征区域创新系统可持续性,进一步完善和丰富了区域创新系统评价理论与方法.  相似文献

Sustainability has been introduced at Ithaca College as a potential guiding theme for a wide range of development efforts. How these efforts will shape the institution's future is unclear, particularly when one places them in the context of recent changes in the College's approach to governance and planning. Countering rather primitive applications of systems thinking in the popular literature on sustainability, a case is made that sustainability principles can be reframed within Banathy's [Banathy, B. H. (1989). Syst. Res. 6(4), 289–296.] notion of an evolutionary guidance system, and this could lead to the next evolutionary stage of the institution.  相似文献

This article explores recent trends in marriage. Following consistent falls in marriage rates in the last quarter of the 20th century the early years of this century have seen some relatively large fluctuations in marriage numbers and rates. This article illustrates some of the recent trends in marriage. One innovation is that it presents marriage data by month, controlled for the effect of peak marriage days in the week. It also discusses a recent legislative change, affecting those subject to immigration control that wish to marry, which may be one of many factors affecting latest marriage trends. This paper reports on an on-going project on urban sustainability, the Puerto Aura in the region of the Valsequillo Lake in Puebla, Mexico. As part of the project, a simulation model was built to explore the dynamic interaction of the dimensions inherent in sustainable urban development. After reviewing literature on sustainable urban development (SUD) frameworks and tools, we identify key variables that intervene in SUD. We propose a System Dynamics model to simulate the dimensions that intervene in a sustainable development and to anticipate the consequences of the decision making process. The structure and inter-relationships of four sectors in the proposed model are described, the sustainability indicators in each sector explained. Preliminary conclusions are drawn stating that a complete run of the model simulating a 20 years horizon in monthly periods is expected when the full data from the Puerto Aura master plan becomes available.
