Cooperation between the two myosin heads interacting with actin in presence of ADP in myofibrils

Zusammenfassung Alkylierung von 2 Thiolgruppen pro Myosin mit NEM bei 0°C in Gegenwart einer Diophosphatkette inaktiviert die K-ATPase vollständig.In Myofibrillen werden diese Thiolgruppen durch Rigor-interaction beider Myosinköpfchen mit Actin vor Alkylierung geschützt. In Gegenwart von Mg-ADP tritt eine spezifische vom Rigor verschiedene interaction zwischen Myosin und Actin auf. Man muss annehemen, dass dabei nur 1 Myosinköpfchen ans Actin bindet und dass das andere Köpfchen ein ADP gebunden hat.     

Occurrence of a DNA body in the nervous cells of a fresh water snail (Biomphalaria glabrata)

Résumé Dans les cellules nerveuses deB. glabrata on observe un anneau de chromatine, DNA body, qui entoure le nucléole; entre le DNA body et la chromatine attenante à la paroi externe du nucléole existe un anneau clair parcouru par de très fins filaments. Le DNA body des cellules nerveuses rapelle une formation similaire, mais transitoire, présente dans les oocytes d'autres Invertébrés.     

Specific enhancement of the cytotoxic titre with regard to complement source and cytotoxicity test systems

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, dass im Cytotoxizitätstest mit Mäuselymphocyten der cytotoxische Titer durch Neuraminidasevorbehandlung stark gesteigert werden kann, falls Kaninchenserum als Komplement verwendet wird. Durch trypsin- oder Ficin-Vorbehandlung wird nur eine schwache Steigerung erzielt. Im Gegensatz zum Cytotoxizitätstest mit unbehandelten Lymphozyten wird der stärkste Titeranstigg bei der one step-Methode beobachtet. Um die spezifische Titererhöhung mit Kaninchen-Komplement zu erklären, wird ein enhancing factor mit einer Spezifität gegen Neuraminidase behandelte antikörperbeladene Lymphocyten postuliert.

Zusammenfassung Zur Biosynthese von Eritadenin in einem Speisepil Shiitake wurde 4-(6-amino-9H-purine-9-yl)-3-hydroxybuttersäure als ein Zwischenprodukt isoliert und identifiziert.     

Radioimmunological determination of plasma cortisol

Zusammenfassung Durch Immunisierung von Kaninchen mit Cortisol-21-Hemisuccinat-Rinderserumalbumin-Komplex liessen sich spezifische Antikörper mit hohem Titer gewinnen. Eine radioimmunologische Bestimmungsmethode für Plasmacortisol wird angegeben. Die Methode ist besonders bei denjenigen Fällen anzuwenden, bei denen erhöhte Konzentrationen von corticosteron oder Substanz S den protein-binding assay von Cortisol im Plasma stören.     

Effect of bretylium on degeneration secretion of saliva

Zusammenfassung Die Degenerationsaktivität, die in einigen Organen nach Sympathektomie auftritt, kann durch Bretylium verzögert werden. In Versuchen mit parasympatisch denervierten Speicheldrüsen konnte dieser Effekt des Bretyliums nicht nachgewiesen werden. Es zeigte sich, dass Bretylium hier einen eigenen sekretorischen Effekt hat und nebenbei eine latente Degenerationssekretion auslöst. In diesen Versuchen gleicht Bretylium Acetylcholin.

Hemoglobin in immature erythrocyte mitochondrion-like organelles

Zusammenfassung Es wurde das Vorkommen von Haemoglobin in mitochondrienähnlichen Organellen unreifer Erythrocyten aus peripherem Kaninchenblut elektrophoretisch aus der abgetrennten Franktion nachgewiesen und ergänzt durch elektronenoptische Beobachtungen an Dünnschnitten ganzer Retikulozyten. Für die Organellen wird die Bezeichnung Hemosome vorgeschlagen.

Isoenzymes de la lactate deshydrogenase au niveau des organes de l'appareil génital du rat mâle greffé avec une tumeur de la glande interstitielle du testicule

Summary The LDH isoenzyme pattern was determined at the level of the genital apparatus organs in the male rat grafted with a testicular interstitial gland tumor. The seminal vesicles exhibit a modified pattern in the grafted animals after 2 months in comparison with the non-grafted rats. The pattern of the tumoral extract, in fact a true leydig cells extract, does not exhibit the specific testicular band-X.

Minor nitrogenous sesquiterpenes from the marine spongeAxinella cannabina. A hypothesis for the biogenesis of the spiro-axane skeleton

Summary Three nitrogenous sesquiterpenoids (4–6), possessing an isocyanide, isothiocyanate or formylamino function, have been isolated from the marine spongeAxinella cannabina. The proposed structures were based on interpretation of spectral data including 2D-NMR techniques and chemical evidence. A plausible pathway for the biogenesis of these compounds and the co-occurring spiro-axane (1–3) metabolites is proposed.Work supported by C.N.R. Changes in the lumen of coronary vessels under oligemic hypotension

Conclusions The decrease of circulating blood volume, resulting in oligemic hypotension, may evoke in anaesthetized cat the active constrictory coronary vessel responses of 2 types, one occuring immediately after start of the hypotension and the other having a significantly prolonged latency.

Cellular localization of androgen in the brain and pituitary after the injection of tritiated testosterone

Zusammenfassung Nach Injektion von³H-Testosteron wurde mit Hilfe der Trocken-Autoradiographie eine selektive Aufnahme und Speicherung von Radioaktivität in Kernen spezifischer Neurone im Hypothalamus, in der präoptisch-parolfaktorischen Region, im Septum, im Hippokampus und in der Amygdala beobachtet. Im Hypophysenvorderlappen war Radioaktivität in den Zellkernen von Basophilen nachweisbar. Die autoradiographischen Ergebnisse unterstützen das Konzept eines doppelten Androgen-Feedbacks auf der Ebene des Zentralnervensystems und der Hypophyse.
