In the brain of the Carp an anti met-enkephalin serum reveals some telencephalic fibres, about half of the N.P.O. cells and furthermore a subependymal zone of nervous tissue close to the third ventricle of the superior hypothalamus and thalamus. These structures do not react with an anti alpha-endorphin serum, which however reveals cells of the lateral N.L.T. and the corresponding fibres.  相似文献

Summary Adrenergic and cholinergic innervation of the cerebral blood vessels were studied in the carp using fluorescence and cholinesterase histochemistry. Most of the major cerebral and pial arteries were densely innervated with both nerves. Moreover, both nerves, being probably of central origin, were observed frequently on the walls of parenchymal arterioles and capillaries in the sections of the inferior lobe but were only rarely found in the other brain sections.  相似文献

Hypophysial vasotocin of Phoxinus laevis is determined by radio-immunoassay. With different sea water dilutions it is shown that hypophysial vasotocin concentration varies with ambient salinity. This fact agrees with histological pictures. Moreover, in comparison with the results of other authors, it is established that the hypophysial morphological modifications appeared only after the hormonal changes.  相似文献

The composition of the acid soluble nucleotide pool of Carp liver was determined by column chromatography, and its changes were followed during prolonged total fast. Total prolonged starvation caused substantial changes in the distribution of hepatocyte free nucleotides. Eleven months of starvation caused a reduction in the concentration of di- and triphosphate nucleosides as well as a diminution of the oxido-reduction of the hepatocyte. Only pyrimidine nucleoside monophosphates remained at concentration approaching those found in regularly fed Carp.  相似文献

Opiate receptor sites were visualized by high resolution radioautography in the locus coeruleus of the Rat following intraventricular injection of the met-enkephalin analogue FK 33-824 tritiated with a high specific activity (3H-FK). After administration of a tracer dose of 3H-FK, more than 75% of the radioactivity detected in the locus coeruleus is specifically bound to opiate receptor sites. These are distributed both between and inside neuronal perikarya. After administration of 3H-FK at high concentration, electron microscope radioautography shows the presence of specific opiate binding sites at the level of axo-somatic and axo-dendritic synaptic junctions. These synaptic binding sites could correspond to receptor sites for endogenous enkephalins.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Es wurden Vorkommen und Eigenschaften des Hypophysenadenoma bei altersschwachen Ratten nach Pinealektomie beschrieben. Trotzdem in Tumoren zirbeldrüsenloser Tiere grössere Parenchymbildung und grösserer Blutgehalt erscheinen, können die vorliegenden Ergebnisse keinen entscheidenden Unterschied bestätigen.

Fluorescence microscopy (Falck and Hillarp technique) of 11th day old chick embryo shows aminergic neurons and processes in the paraventricular organ area. Administration of tritiated amines permits us to observe uptake and storage of serotonin only as early as the 10th day; this suggests a very early hypothalamic serotoninergic nervous system differentiation.  相似文献

By means of purified rabbit anti-adult chicken kidney antibodies two types of antigens have been identified in the mesonephros: one, localised in the cells of the proximal segment of the secretory tubules, the other characteristic of the collecting segments derived from the Wolffian duct. During the transformation of certain mesonephric tubules into ductuli efferentes and conjugentes of the epididymis the collecting tubule antigen disappears whereas the proximal secretory tubule antigen not only persists but can also be detected in the parietal layer of Bowman's capsules as they transform before connecting with the rete testis.  相似文献

The head is innervated by 12 cranial nerves (I–XII) that regulate its sensory and motor functions. Cranial nerves are composed of sensory, motor, or mixed neuronal populations. Sensory neurons perceive generally somatic sensations such as pressure, pain, and temperature. These neurons are also involved in smell, vision, taste, and hearing. Motor neurons ensure the motility of all muscles and glands. Innervation plays an essential role in the development of the various orofacial structures during embryogenesis. Hypoplastic cranial nerves often lead to abnormal development of their target organs and tissues. For example, Möbius syndrome is a congenital disease characterized by defective innervation (i.e., abducens (VI) and facial (VII) nerves), deafness, tooth anomalies, and cleft palate. Hence, it is obvious that the peripheral nervous system is needed for both development and function of orofacial structures. Nerves have a limited capacity to regenerate. However, neural stem cells, which could be used as sources for neural tissue maintenance and repair, have been found in adult neuronal tissues. Similarly, various adult stem cell populations have been isolated from almost all organs of the human body. Stem cells are tightly regulated by their microenvironment, the stem cell niche. Deregulation of adult stem cell behavior results in the development of pathologies such as tumor formation or early tissue senescence. It is thus essential to understand the factors that regulate the functions and maintenance of stem cells. Yet, the potential importance of innervation in the regulation of stem cells and/or their niches in most organs and tissues is largely unexplored. This review focuses on the potential role of innervation in the development and homeostasis of orofacial structures and discusses its possible association with stem cell populations during tissue repair.  相似文献

Synthesis of cAMP-phosphodiesterase falls at the end of the aggregation phase in Dictyostelium discoideum. Exogenous cAMP pulses, known to induce they synthesis of that enzyme during the course of the aggregation process, do not prevent the shut off of enzyme synthesis. Specific intercellular contacts which form at the end of aggregation seem to be required for the inhibition of enzyme synthesis.  相似文献

Alpha-Methylornithine, an inhibitor of the synthesis of putrescine does not affect the cleavage of Mouse eggs, cultured in vitro from the 2-cell stage, before blastocyst formation, whereas methylglyoxal-Bis (guanylhydrazone), an inhibitor of the syntheses of spermidine and spermine induces the embryos to become quiescent at about the 8-cell stage; resumption of their development, after transfer to fresh medium, is followed by a delay in cavitation.
