Glomerular filtration rate (GFR), cardiac output, regional blood flow and kidney weight were measured in alloxan and streptozotocin diabetic rats at different times after the administration of diabetogen. A high GFR was found together with increased kidney weight and reduced blood flow.  相似文献

Summary The amount of free fatty acid (FFA) liberated with intralipid in post-heparin guinea-pig serum, when serum from alloxan diabetic rat is incubated, is higher than that liberated when serum from healthy rats is used. Zusammenfassung Leerdarm- und Krummdarm-Aufsaugung vond-Galaktose und Wasser wurde mit einer Pumpendurchströmung in vivo bei normalen und Alloxan-diabetischen Ratten geprüft. 24 Stunden Fasten erhöhte die Aufnahmefähigkeit normaler Ratten, ergab aber keinen Unterschied zwischen normalen Ratten beim Fasten und solchen, die mit Alloxan für 24, 48 und 72 Stunden diabetisch wurden.

The aim of the present study was to see if L-arginine, which induces insulin release and is a precursor of the endothelial-derived relaxing factor nitric oxide, affects whole pancreatic and/or islet blood flow. For this purpose, anesthetized male Sprague-Dawley rats were injected intravenously with either saline or L-arginine (25, 100 or 250 mg/kg body weight). All doses of arginine caused a slight increase in blood glucose concentration, while the highest dose (250 mg/kg body weight) also increased insulin concentration. However, no changes in either mean arterial blood pressure, whole pancreatic or islet blood flow could be discerned with any of the doses of arginine used. It is concluded that insulin release is not necessarily associated with an increased islet blood perfusion.  相似文献

Morphometric measurements showed reduced axonal areas of the lateral plantar and the sciatic nerves in the diabetic rats 28 but not 2 and 8 weeks after the experiment.
