The nonlinear refractive indexes n 2 for the ethanol solutions of 1,10-phenanthroline (2.0×10 -3 mol·L -1), [bis(1,10-phenanthroline) lanthanum (Ⅲ)] nitrate (1.0×10 -3 mol·L -1), and [nitrato-fluoracil-bis (1,10-phenanthroline) lanthanum (Ⅲ)] nitrate (1.0×10 -3 mol·L -1) are first measured, the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities χ (3) and <γ> are calculated, and the mechanisms of the third-order optical nonlinearities enhanced by lanthanum (Ⅲ) are discussed preliminarily.  相似文献

采用单光束Z扫描技术测量了GaAs-SiO2复合薄膜的光吸收和光折射特性,结果表明:在104W/cm2的辐射光强作用下,复合薄膜的光吸收和光折射表现出明显的非线性特征.根据Z扫描测量理论算得三阶非线性折射率系数和非线性光吸收系数分别为10-6cm2/W;和10-1cm/W量级.运用量子点模型对三阶光学非线性响应增强的机制进行了讨论.  相似文献

用Z扫描方法测量了系列羟基苯基卟啉化合物的非线性折射率n2和反饱和吸收系数β, 由此算出了三阶非线性极化率χ(3), 并分析了分子结构对其三阶非线性光学性质的影响. 实验结果表明, 它们具有大的反饱和系数和三阶非线性折射率, 并且取代基数目和取代位置对实验结果有明显的影响.  相似文献

Ag nanoparticles embedded in soda-lime silicate glass were fabricated by ion-exchange and subse-quently annealing method. Z-scan technique, femtosecond time-resolved optical Kerr effect (OKE) technique and femtosecond pump-probe experiment were used to investigate the effects of laser wavelength and laser pulse duration as well as annealing temperature on the third-order optical nonlinearity and ultrafast dynamics of the composites. It was found that the third-order susceptibility of Ag nanoparticles composite glass measured by 400 nm pulse source is larger than that measured by 800 nm pulse source due to an enhancement effect of local field near surface plasmon resonance of Ag nanoparticles in silicate glass. The third-order optical nonlinearity measured by ns laser source is about two orders of magnitude larger than that measured from fs pulse. The annealing temperature has an important effect on the third-order optical nonlinearity and ultrafast dynamics of the composites. Third-order nonlinear susceptibility up to 10^-l0 esu and fast relaxation process up to 0.2 ps have been obtained in Ag nanoparticles doped glass.  相似文献

The density matrix approach has been employed to investigate the optical nonlinear polarization in a single semiconductor quantum dot(QD). Electron states are considered to be confined within a quantum dot with infinite potential barriers. It is shown, by numerical calculation, that the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities for a typical Si quantum dot is dependent on the quantum size of the quantum dot and the frequency of incident light.  相似文献

The third-order optical nonlinearities, including third-order nonlinear susceptibility X^(3), nonlinear refractive index (n2) and temporal response, were measured with forward DFWM using Nd:YAG mode-locked pulse laser. The results show that Eu203 doped 5ZnO-20Nb2O5-75TeO2 glasses have large n2 and ultra-fast temporal response. Raman spectra show that Eu2O3 dopant induces the changes in the local structure of glasses. The higher the dopant concentration, the larger the nonlinear refractive n2 and the faster the temporal response. The enhancement on the third-order optical nonlinearities can be attributed to the deformation of the electronic clouds in [TeO4] enhanced by Eu2O3 dopant.  相似文献

合成了嘧啶环二炔氮桥C60衍生物C60NPD ,研究了在532nm、脉宽 8ns条件下的非线性光学特性。通过Z-扫描实验发现C60NPD有很强的非线性吸收和非线性折射,并获得了三阶非线性光学系数χ(3) 。同时也研究了光限幅特性,实验结果表明C60NPD有较低的光限幅箝位值。  相似文献

报道了用飞秒光克尔实验系统测量镶嵌在聚乙烯醇(PVA)薄膜的二氧化锡(SnO2)纳米晶簇的光学非线性的实验结果,平均粒径为10nm和2~3nm的SnO2晶簇的三阶非线性极化率χ(3)分别为4.301×10-14和1.728×10-13esu,并对其原因进行了分析.实验还表明SnO2/PVA薄膜的光学响应是很快的,为50fs.由于聚乙烯醇薄膜的性能稳定,易于生产,上述结果显示它可能成为制作光器件的优良基质.  相似文献

Stimulated Raman scattering is a nonlinear optical process that, in a broad variety of materials, enables the generation of optical gain at a frequency that is shifted from that of the incident radiation by an amount corresponding to the frequency of an internal oscillation of the material. This effect is the basis for a broad class of tunable sources known as Raman lasers. In general, these sources have only small gain (approximately 10(-9) cm W(-1)) and therefore require external pumping with powerful lasers, which limits their applications. Here we report the realization of a semiconductor injection Raman laser designed to circumvent these limitations. The physics underlying our device differs in a fundamental way from existing Raman lasers: it is based on triply resonant stimulated Raman scattering between quantum-confined states within the active region of a quantum cascade laser that serves as an internal optical pump--the device is driven electrically and no external laser pump is required. This leads to an enhancement of orders of magnitude in the Raman gain, high conversion efficiency and low threshold. Our lasers combine the advantages of nonlinear optical devices and of semiconductor injection lasers, and could lead to a new class of compact and wavelength-agile mid-and far-infrared light sources.  相似文献

利用溶胶-凝胶工艺和原位生长技术制备了Ⅱ-Ⅵ族化合物半导体纳米复合材料,得到了ZnS、ZnTe、CdS、CdSe、CdxHg-xTe(x=1=0.7)纳米微晶与多孔SiO2凝胶玻璃的复合材料。用XRD研究了不同复合材料的结构特点,利用吸收光谱和透射光谱研究了复合材料的光学特性,发现纳米微晶的禁带宽度大于其相应体材料的禁带宽度,并且复合材料具有明显的非线笥光特性。用简并四波混频测试了样品的三阶非线性  相似文献

Quantum metrology aims to use entanglement and other quantum resources to improve precision measurement. An interferometer using N independent particles to measure a parameter χ can achieve at best the standard quantum limit of sensitivity, δχ?∝?N(-1/2). However, using N entangled particles and exotic states, such an interferometer can in principle achieve the Heisenberg limit, δχ?∝?N(-1). Recent theoretical work has argued that interactions among particles may be a valuable resource for quantum metrology, allowing scaling beyond the Heisenberg limit. Specifically, a k-particle interaction will produce sensitivity δχ?∝?N(-k) with appropriate entangled states and δχ?∝?N(-(k-1/2)) even without entanglement. Here we demonstrate 'super-Heisenberg' scaling of δχ?∝?N(-3/2) in a nonlinear, non-destructive measurement of the magnetization of an atomic ensemble. We use fast optical nonlinearities to generate a pairwise photon-photon interaction (corresponding to k = 2) while preserving quantum-noise-limited performance. We observe super-Heisenberg scaling over two orders of magnitude in N, limited at large numbers by higher-order nonlinear effects, in good agreement with theory. For a measurement of limited duration, super-Heisenberg scaling allows the nonlinear measurement to overtake in sensitivity a comparable linear measurement with the same number of photons. In other situations, however, higher-order nonlinearities prevent this crossover from occurring, reflecting the subtle relationship between scaling and sensitivity in nonlinear systems. Our work shows that interparticle interactions can improve sensitivity in a quantum-limited measurement, and experimentally demonstrates a new resource for quantum metrology.  相似文献

拓扑平带模型属于著名Haldane模型的扩展版本,至少有一个能带具有非平庸的拓扑性质,即有非零的陈数(Chernnumber),而且该能带的带宽很窄,同时与其他能带间有较大能隙.最近通过对拓扑平带上强关联相互作用的费米子和玻色子品格体系的系统数值进行研究,发现了一类新奇的阿贝尔型和非阿贝尔型分数量子霍尔效应.新发现的分数量子霍尔效应不同于传统朗道能级上的连续型分数量子霍尔效应,无须外加强磁场,有较大特征能隙,可在较高温度下存在,无需单粒子朗道能级,不能用常规Laughlin波函数描述.这些无外加磁场、无朗道能级的分数化现象,定义了一类新的分数拓扑相,也称为分数陈绝缘体,其中的分数量子霍尔效应也称为分数量子反常霍尔效应.该新领域在近期引起了国际凝聚态物理学界的研究热情与广泛关注.对笔者与合作者在该领域的系列研究工作进行综述介绍,以期引起国内外同行的进一步研究兴趣.  相似文献
