Combined treatment with dipyridamole and adenosine monophosphate enhances cell proliferation in the hemopoietic tissue of normal and gamma-irradiated mice. This effect can be explained by the elevation of extracellular adenosine, and the receptor-mediated activation of the cell adenylate cyclase system. 相似文献

Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) both caused a rapid and transient depolarization of the resulting membrane potential of superfused rat adrenal cortical cells. The membrane depolarization to both secretagogues were very similar. During 21 days of indomethacin treatment, erythroid cells in the spleens of both young adult and older mice, and in the bone marrow of young adult mice, were increased significantly early in treatment, relative to age-matched control organs, and remained high throughout treatment. During drug exposure, the numbers of myeloid cells in young adult bone marrow, but not spleen, were reduced, but in older mice these cells were elevated in both organs. Lymphoid cells in the young adult and older mouse spleens decreased and increased, respectively, during treatment, but were unchanged and decreased, respectively, in the bone marrow of young adult and older mice. Monocyte-macrophage cells in the spleen were elevated but unchanged in the bone marrow of both age groups. During 14 days of indomethacin treatment of young adult mice, the proportions of precursor cells in DNA synthesis of only the splenic erythroid lineage were increased. Thus, the major hemopoietic lineages in both the bone marrow and spleen are affected by exposure to indomethacin in a time-dependent and age-dependent manner. For all lineages studied, those of the bone marrow were least disturbed and/or were first to recover, even during continued drug exposure. 相似文献

Concentrations of cyclic AMP (cAMP) were determined in paired fore and hind limbs from day 12-16 of development in murine fetuses homozygous for the brachymorphic (bm) mutation and normal controls. A developmental rise in cAMP occurred 1 day earlier in bm/bm than in +/+ hind limbs and cAMP was higher in day-13 bm/bm than in +/+ fore limbs. Since cAMP is well documented to stimulate chondrogenic differentiation, premature cartilage determination secondary to altered levels of cAMP could play a role in bm/bm short-limbed dwarfism. 相似文献

Pylorus ligation in normal albino rats acts like a stressor leading to degranulation of mast cells in gastric mucosa, thereby decreasing their number. This decrease is less pronounced when pylorus ligation is done in adrenalectomized rats. This implies that action of a stressor on gastric function involves the adrenal steroids which liberate the powerful gastric stimulant histamine from gastric mucosal mast cells. 相似文献
