Brain homogenates of Locusta migratoria are found to possess enzyme capable of catalyzing the N-acetylation of tryptamine. A main product of the enzymatic reaction is isolated and identified as N-acetyltryptamine by chromatography analyse. Both insecticides, chlordimeform and lindane, inhibit enzyme activity. A direct correlation between the degree of intoxication and acetylation of tryptamine is described.  相似文献

After injection of oiled solutions of JH-I metamorphosis was much more disturbed than following the same treatment with JH-III. The two hormones reduced in the same way the mortality which occurred after injection of pure peanut oil in the first hours of a larval stage. JH-1 and JH-III seemed to have the same effect on the two phases of Locusta.  相似文献

Rat pituitary MAO activity was reduced by constant darkness and by additions of melatonin in vitro and was increased by constant light and by pinealectomy. Hypothalamic MAO activity followed the same pattern but was less dramatically affected. The data suggest that MAO may be a target enzyme for melatonin.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Pargylin und Pheniprazin vermindern stark die Dopa-Anreicherung (erhöhte Dopamin-Synthesegeschwindigkeit) im corpus striatum der Ratte nach Trifluoperazin und Tetrabenazin. Dopamin-spezifische MAO-Hemmer könnten deshalb therapeutischen Wert haben in der Kontrolle von tardiver Dyskinesia, die möglicherweise durch erhöhte Bildung und Umsatz von Dopamin unter dem Einfluss von anti-psychotischen Drogen hervorgerufen wird.  相似文献

Summary Excitatory terminals, depleted of their synaptic vesicles by stimulation at high frequency, were incubated in the radiolabelled putative neurotransmitter, L-glutamate. Quantitative electron microscope autoradiography revealed that the axoplasm of these recovering terminals had accumulated the3H L-glutamate.Acknowledgment. The authors wish to thank Dr N. M. Zusammenfassung Die MAO-Aktivitäten menschlicher Feten verhielten sich in folgender, abnehmender Reihe: Ductus venosus, Vena umbilicalis=Leber, Arteria umbilicalis=Nabelstrang. Die COMT-Aktivität hingegen erwies sich in allen untersuchten Gefässen als unbedeutend und war nur im Lebergewebe auffallend hoch.

Corpora allata of Locusta migratoria 5th stage larvae synthesize J.H.1, J.H.2 and J.H.3 in vitro. The C.A. of insects of different ages exbit different rates of J.H. synthesis. J.H.1 and J.H.2 synthesis is less than 1 ng/48 h/gland. During the same time the J.H.3 production may be as much as 25.6 ng/gland. J.H. synthetic activity is the same between right and left C.A. The release of J.H. from the C.A. occurs immediately following synthesis. These results are compared with in vivo haemolymphatic J.H. levels.  相似文献

Male and female silver eels, in fresh water or sea water, have few gonadotrophs (GTH) poorly differentiated. An oestradiol (E2) treatment induces their development: a well developed Golgi area, abundant secretory granules (200-500 nm), dilated cisterna and large globules 1.2-2.2 micron) are observed. A positive feedback may control gonadotropin synthesis in immature eels. No macroscopic effect is discernible on the gonad.  相似文献
