下送风空调系统送风口气流方向对室内气流分布的影响分析

一个设计良好的下送风空调系统具有改善热舒适性、通风效率和室内空气品质,减少能耗、建筑周期花费和层高等优点。本文通过对某一下送风空调系统在送风方向分别与地面之间的夹角（记为a）为0°、45°和90°的条件下,进行了数值模拟计算。分析了不同送风方向时室内气流分布的不同。研究结果表明：a为0°和45°时的室内气流分布类似,室内最大速度都贴近地面。且形成的涡位于室内高度1／2以下,45°时室内产生更多的涡流;a为90°时靠近地面处流速很小,形成的涡位于室内高度1／2以上。对a为0°的情况进行了水模型试验,试验现象表明近地面处速度的分布与模拟计算结果基本吻合。研究结果对预测和控制下送风空调系统的扬尘有理论意义。     

Effect of cell proliferation on the condensation of the X chromosome in culture medium of the individual karyotype 49 XXXXX]

The influence of cell proliferation on the condensation of the X chromosome was observed in vitro in human fibroblasts with 49 XXXXX karyotype. The frequency of cells with four Barr-bodies is low during the logarithmic growth phase and increases to 80% when the cells are becoming confluent or, independently of cell contact, when cell growth is arrested in a medium with low serum content. The condensation of th X chromosomes is reversible when the cells start growing again in medium with a higher serum content.     

Effects of dihydroergocriptine on mouse and rat resistance to acute anoxia: influence of repetition of treatment

Summary The antihypoxic activity of DHEC mesylate, as evaluated in mice and rats submitted to hypobaric hypoxia and to asphyxic anoxia respectively, is noticeably stronger when the compound is administered according to a repeated treatment schedule than when administered only once. The results correlate well with human clinical observations.     

Serum thymic factor as a radioprotective agent promoting survival after X-irradiation

Summary Serum thymic factor (FTS, zinc-free thymulin) protected mice from death after whole-body X-irradiation. It was significantly radioprotective even when administered after irradiation, but it was more effective when administered both before and after irradiation. The protective effect appears to be due to the enhancement of hematologic recovery in the animals.

The occurrence and physiological functions of melatonin in the most primitive eumetazoans,the planarians

Asexual planarians of the speciesDugesia dorotocephala exhibit a distinct circadian rhythm of fissoning (asexual reproduction) under the influence of normal photoperiod; fissioning occurs only at night. This rhythm is broken down by continuous illumination, continuous darkness or by decapitation. The fissioning rate increases when planarians are exposed to light for less than 1 hour/day or when they are decapitated. Fissioning of decapitated planarians is suppressed by continuous treatment with melatonin, whereas fissioning resumes when these are returned to normal culture water. Interestingly, fissioning occurs at night when decapitates are treated with melatonin in the daytime, while it is observed in the daytime with night-time melatonin treatment. Endogenous melatonin was detected by HPLC and RIA. The endogenous melatonin level is always higher in those heads collected in the scotophase than in those collected in the photophase. A type of neurosecretory cell, which may synthesize melatonin, is found in the assembly of photoreceptor cells.

Role played in man by myelinated fibers of different diameters for the evocation of a nociceptive flex reflex and the accompanying pain sensation]

Using simultaneous recordings we have made in Man a comparative study of: the sural nerve afferent volley, the nociceptive flexor reflex of a muscle of the lower limb and the associated painful sensation. Two types of stimulations were used, a single short duration electric stimulus, and a train of electric shocks (100/sec). With a single stimulus, the nociceptive flexor reflex and the painful sensation develop only when A delta fibers are recruited. On the other hand, when the stimulations are given by trains the nociceptive flexor reflex and the painful sensation can develop with a stimulus sub-liminar to the threshold of A delta fibers, when A alpha fibers are recruited. When the stimulus activate both A alpha and A delta fibers, the flexion reflex and the pain disappear when a selective blockade of the A delta group is exerted by means of Lidocain.     

Linear constraints,robust-weighting and efficient composite modeling

Recent studies have shown that composite forecasting produces superior forecasts when compared to individual forecasts. This paper extends the existing literature by employing linear constraints and robust regression techniques in composite model building. Security analysts forecasts may be improved when combined with time series forecasts for a diversified sample of 261 firms with a 1980-1982 post-sample estimation period. The mean square error of analyst forecasts may be reduced by combining analyst and univariate time series model forecasts in constrained and unconstrained ordinary least squares regression models. These reductions are very interesting when one finds that the univariate time series model forecasts do not substantially deviate from those produced by ARIMA (0,1,1) processes. Moreover, security analysts' forecast errors may be significantly reduced when constrained and unconstrained robust regression analyses are employed.     

Effect of L-carnitine and stimulated lipolysis on muscle substrates in the exercising rat

To test the effect of L-carnitine on glycogen sparing when fat oxidation is increased, 100 mg/kg/d were given to rats orally for 3 days, resulting in 1.8-fold higher muscle carnitine levels. Even when FFA were raised by heparin-stimulated lipolysis, the rate of glycogen degradation was not reduced during exercise.     

Ω型轴向槽道热管传热性能的实验研究

论文针对现有热管实验手段的不足,自行搭建了集加热系统、冷却系统、角度调节系统和温度测量系统于一体的Ω型轴向槽道热管传热性能实验台,考察了加热功率、工作倾角、冷却条件等因素对热管工作特性的影响。结果表明：实验所用热管水平放置时最大传热量较小,若改善冷却条件可提高热管的传热能力;当热管放置为重力辅助作用时,热管传热能力显著改善,反向放置时,热管无法正常工作。研究结果对于热管在飞行器中的应用研究具有参考价值。     

Activators of serum lipoprotein lipase in alloxan diabetic rats

Summary The amount of free fatty acid (FFA) liberated with intralipid in post-heparin guinea-pig serum, when serum from alloxan diabetic rat is incubated, is higher than that liberated when serum from healthy rats is used. The above effect is probably due to larger quantities of lipoprotein lipase present in the diabetic serum.     

Enhanced toxicity of the immunosuppressant ovalicin upon application to the skin

The non-myelotoxic immunosuppressive sesquiterpene ovalicin, of fungal origin, is much more toxic when applied to the skin of animals than when injected i.v., the LD-50 in guinea pigs being 0.2 in the first case and 7 mg/kg in the second. It elicits aphagia and adipsia. It is assumed that ovalicin effects are due to slow, tissue-specific, metabolic toxification.     

Suppression of humoral immune response in mice by administration of high molecular levan

Summary High molecular levan, a polyfructoside, has a dose-dependent inhibitory effect on the primary immune response to sheep red cells (SE) in Balb/c mice, when given as from 1–2 days prior to the antigen injection. A slight stimulation of the immune response was observed when levan was given shortly before or 1 day after the antigen.

The Role of the Agouti-Related Protein in Energy Balance Regulation

The Agouti-Related Protein (AgRP) is a powerful orexigenic peptide that increases food intake when ubiquitously overexpressed or when administered centrally. AgRP-deficiency, on the other hand, leads to increased metabolic rate and a longer lifespan when mice consume a high fat diet. In humans, AgRP polymorphisms have been consistently associated with resistance to fatness in Blacks and Whites and resistance to the development of type-2 diabetes in African Blacks. Systemically administered AgRP accumulates in the liver, the adrenal gland and fat tissue while recent findings suggest that AgRP may also have inverse agonist effects, both centrally and peripherally. AgRP could thus modulate energy balance via different actions. Its absence or reduced functionality may offer a benefit both in terms of bringing about negative energy balance in obesigenic environments, as well as leading to an increased lifespan.

Antiviral activity of coralloid root ofCycas revoluta extract against some viruses of tomato plant

Summary Crude coralloid root extract ofCycas revoluta showed significant antiviral activity against viruses of the tomato plant (PVX, PVY, TMV, TAV and TRSV) when applied 24 h before virus inoculation, or when mixed with different virus inocula before virus inocultion, in hypersensitive and systemic hosts.
