Summary Heteropolyanions like 12-tungstozincic acid (i.i.), potassium 13-vanadomanganate (i.v.), potassium 13-vanadonickelate (i.v.) and sodium tungstoborate produced an inhibitory effect on potato virus X. Amongst these, tungstozincic acid was found to be the most potent.The authors are thankful to Prof. R. P. Summary Infection with potato virus X (PVX) increased the total nitrogen and non-protein nitrogen contents of Katahdin tubers. Protein nitrogen remained unchanged, but a 22% increase in free amino acid content accompanied infection. No differences were observed in the number or composition of protein fractions in infected tubers.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Im Hinblick auf die Untersuchung der Wirkung von Chlorcholinchlorid im Stoffwechsel der Quartärammoniumverbindungen in Pflanzen wurden deren natürlich vorhandene Substanzen in wässrigen Extrakten von Tomatenpflanzen papierchromatographisch in vier Lösungsmitteln untersucht.In den Extrakten überwog eine Substanz, die sich von Cholin chromatographisch unterscheidet, die aber dieselbe Farbreaktion mit einem modifizierten Dragendorffschen Reagens gibt. Während der Papierelektrophorese bei pH 6 wird diese Substanz in zwei andere umgewandelt. Eine von diesen entspricht chromatographisch Cholin. Keine von den unbekannten Substanzen aber scheint ein phosphoryliertes Derivat von Cholin zu sein.  相似文献

Summary Fruits of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. cv. Fireball) were harvested 32 and 37 days after anthesis and dipped for 30 min in 10,000 ppm daminozide. Ripening of treated fruits, as manifested by an advancement in ethylene production and the respiratory climacteric, was accelerated by up to 7 days over control fruit.Acknowledgment. The inhibitory effect of four flavonoid compounds on virus multiplication and their influence on the intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) level were studied in cell cultures. Quercetin and quercitrin reduced the yields of Human (alpha) herpesvirus 1 (HSV-1) and Suid (alpha) herpesvirus 1 (pseudorabies virus), but hesperidin and rutin had no effect. Further, quercetin and quercitrin elevated the intracellular level of cAMP, whereas hesperidin and rutin did not alter the cAMP level. Both antiviral activity and cAMP-enhancing effect were dependent on the concentrations of the flavonoids, and these effects turned out to be parallel. This study suggests that a relation exists between the antiviral effect and the cAMP-enhancing activity of flavonoids.  相似文献
