A new species of Prosorhochmus is described from Belize and Florida based on morphological, reproductive and sequence data. Similar to Prosorhochmus nelsoni (Sanchez, 1973 Sanchez, M. 1973. Sobre 4 especies de nemertinos de Quintero (Chile) [On the four nemertean species from Quintero (Chile)].. Studies on Neoropical Fauna, 8: 195214. [Taylor & Francis Online] [Google Scholar]), Prosorhochmus belizeanus sp. nov. is gonochoric and oviparous; all other species of Prosorhochmus are viviparous hermaphrodites. Prosorhochmus belizeanus sp. nov. differs from P. nelsoni by having significantly larger stylets and different arrangement of acidophilic cephalic glands. Sequence divergence between the two is 7.4% (16S) and 9.1% (COI), comparable to divergence from the viviparous hermaphroditic species. Prosorhochmus Keferstein, 1862 Keferstein, W. 1862. Untersuchungen über niedere Seethiere [Studies on lower marine animals].. Zeitschrift für Wissenschafliche Zoologie, 12: 1147. German [Google Scholar] is revised based on re‐evaluation of the type and voucher material as well as fresh specimens collected by us. We conclude that Prosorhochmus adriaticus Senz, 1993 Senz, W. 1993. Nemertinen europäischer Küstenbereiche (Nebst ergänzenden Angaben zur Anatomie von Apatronemertes albimaculosa Wilfert & Gibson, 1974) [Nemerteans of the European shores (with additional data on anatomy of Apatronemertes albimaculosa Wilfert & Gibson, 1974)].. Annalen des Naturhistorischen Museums, Series B, 94/95(B): 47145. German [Google Scholar] is insufficiently described and cannot be distinguished from Prosorhochmus claparedii Keferstein, 1862 Keferstein, W. 1862. Untersuchungen über niedere Seethiere [Studies on lower marine animals].. Zeitschrift für Wissenschafliche Zoologie, 12: 1147. German [Google Scholar]. We re‐establish Prosorhochmus korotneffi Bürger, 1895 Bürger, O. 1895. A new feather mite genus Hexacaudalges gen. n. (Psoroptoididae: Psoroptoidinae) is established based on the type species Megninia casuaricola Proctor, 2001 Proctor, H. C. 2001. Megninia casuaricola sp. n. (Acari: Analgidae), the first feather mite from a cassowary (Aves: Struthioniformes: Casuariidae).. Australian Journal of Entomology, 40: 335341. [Crossref], [Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar], which was originally described from the southern cassowary Casuarius casuarius (Struthioniformes: Casuariidae). Morphological peculiarities of this genus, its taxonomic position within the family Psoroptoididae and possible origin are discussed. We also present a clarification of setal nomenclature for this family of mites.  相似文献

The aphid genus Pentatrichosiphum Basu, 1969 Basu, A. N. 1969. Four new genera and nine new species of aphids (Homoptera) from West Bengal, India.. Oriental Insects, 3: 169186. [Taylor & Francis Online] [Google Scholar] is reviewed. Pentatrichosiphum longirostrum n. sp. from Lauraceae in Hainan, China is described. Pentatrichosiphum luteum Basu, 1969 Basu, A. N. 1969. Four new genera and nine new species of aphids (Homoptera) from West Bengal, India.. Oriental Insects, 3: 169186. [Taylor & Francis Online] [Google Scholar] is recorded for the first time from China, the first record of this genus. Some hitherto unknown morphs of P. luteum are described. The genus is redefined and keys to the four known species worldwide are also provided. The taxonomic status of Pentatrichosiphum is discussed based on morphological characters. Type specimens are deposited in the Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China (ZMCAS).  相似文献

Bryconaethiops yseuxi Boulenger, 1899 Boulenger, G. A. 1899. Matériaux pour la faune du Congo. Poissons nouveaux du Congo.. Annales du Musée du Congo, Tervuren, Zoologie 1(4: Polypères, Clupes, Mormyres, Characins), : 5996.  [Google Scholar], originally described from “Haut Congo”, is rehabilitated. The species was synonymized, successively with B. microstoma (Günther, 1873 Günther, A. 1873. New fishes from Angola.. Annals and Magazine of Natural History, London (Series 4), 12(68): 142144. [Taylor & Francis Online] [Google Scholar]) and B. macrops Boulenger, 1920 Boulenger, G. A. 1920. Poissons recueillis au Congo belge par l'expédition du Dr. C. Christy.. Annales du Musée du Congo (Série 1), 2(4): 138.  [Google Scholar], subsequently rehabilitated, and then again considered as a junior synonym of B. microstoma. Bryconaethiops yseuxi is here considered as a valid species, easily distinguished from all other Bryconaethiops species by its small size (maximum: 72.2 mm SL), 7.5 rows of scales between the dorsal‐fin origin and the lateral line; 11–13/1/8–12 gill rakers on the first gill arch and long dorsal‐fin and anal‐fin bases, respectively, 15.7–17.6% of SL and 22.7–25.9% of SL.  相似文献

Differentiation of external morphology of Oribatella Banks, 1895 was investigated, in light of the ontogeny of Oquadricornuta (Michael, 1880 Michael, AD. 1880. A further contribution to the knowledge of British Oribatidae. J Roy Micr Soc London, 3: 225251. [Crossref] [Google Scholar]), Osuperbula (Berlese,1904 Berlese, A. 1904. Acari nuovi. Manipulus III. Redia, 2: 1032.  [Google Scholar]) and O. calcarata (CL Koch, 1835 Koch, CL. 1835. “Deutschlands Crustaceen, Myriapoden und Arachniden”. In Regensburg, Germany: Verlag Friedrich Pustet 13.  [Google Scholar]) studied here for the first time, and that of the other species from the literature. The pattern of gastronotal setae in larvae is similar, except for lack of seta h 3 in Onortoni Behan-Pelletier, 2011 Behan-Pelletier, VM. 2011. Oribatella (Acari, Oribatida, Oribatellidae) of eastern North America. Zootaxa, 2973: 156. [Crossref] [Google Scholar], while that of nymphs and adults is differentiated. The nymphs of most species have 15 pairs of gastronotal setae, but those of Ometzi Behan-Pelletier, 2011 Behan-Pelletier, VM. 2011. Oribatella (Acari, Oribatida, Oribatellidae) of eastern North America. Zootaxa, 2973: 156. [Crossref] [Google Scholar] and most nymphs of Ocalcarata have 13 pairs. The nymphs of most species carry the exuvial scalps of previous instars on apical parts of gastronotal setae da, while setae dm and dp, located under these scalps, are subjected to translocation, reduction in size or loss. In Oberlesei (Michael, 1898 Michael, AD. 1898. “Oribatidae”. In Das Tierreich, Lief. 3. Vol. 8 (Acarina). Berlin: Verlag von R. Friedländer und Sohn Edited by: Schulze, FE. 193. [Crossref] [Google Scholar]), Onortoni, Oquadricornuta and Osexdentata Berlese, 1916 pair dp takes a more lateral position, compared with the larvae, in Osuperbula and Ocanadensis Behan-Pelletier and Eamer, 2010 Behan-Pelletier, VM and Eamer, B. 2010. The first sexually dimorphic species of Oribatella (Acari, Oribatida, Oribatellidae) and a review of sexual dimorphism in the Brachypylina. Zootaxa, 2332: 120. [Crossref] [Google Scholar] it is reduced in size (in the latter species pair dm is also reduced), while Ometzi loses setae dm and dp. In contrast, the nymphs of Ocalcarata do not carry the scalps, and usually lose setae c 1 and dm. The adults of all species lose setae c 1, c 3 and d-series, compared with the tritonymph, and only 10 pairs of notogastral setae remain (c 2, l-, h- and p-series), but Oquadricornuta and Ocalcarata rarely retain seta c 3 unilaterally, which indicates the order of setal loss in Oribatella according to Shaldybina (1972 Shaldybina, ES. 1972. Some morphological characters of ceratozetid moss mites (Oribatei). Ucenyje zapiski Gor Gosud Pedagog Institut, Gorki, 130: 3566. In Russian [Google Scholar]).  相似文献

Proserpinicaris young sp. nov., Proserpinicaris wangpi sp. nov. and Proserpinicaris imjin sp. nov. are described from subterranean waters of South Korea. They are short-range endemics, allopatric in distribution and closely related to each other, and to two other Far Eastern congeners. Distinguishing features are limited to the general habitus shape, proportions of the caudal rami and degree of sexual dimorphism. The genus Proserpinicaris Jakobi, 1972 Jakobi, H. 1972. Trends (Enp.P4 Mänchen) innerhalb der Parastenocarididen (Copepoda Harpacticoidea). Crustaceana, 22: 127146. The monotypic centipede genus Prionopodella Verhoeff, 1925 Verhoeff, K. W. 1925. Results of Dr. E. Mjöberg's Swedish scientific expeditions to Australia 1910–1913. 39. Chilopoda.. Arkiv för Zoologi, 26A: 162.  [Google Scholar] has until now been known only from the types of its type species, collected in Queensland, Australia, nearly a century ago. The female gonopods of Prionopodella were described as having a uniquely tripartite structure, viewed as primitive relative to the bipartite gonopod of all other Scutigeromorpha. An articulation in the syntelopodite is present in one syntype, but new specimens from central eastern Queensland show an, at most, incompletely jointed or entirely unjointed syntelopodite, as in other scutigeromorphs. Cladistic analysis of morphological characters including Prionopodella and the likewise monotypic Australian genus Prothereua Verhoeff, 1925 Verhoeff, K. W. 1925. Results of Dr. E. Mjöberg's Swedish scientific expeditions to Australia 1910–1913. 39. Chilopoda.. Arkiv för Zoologi, 26A: 162.  [Google Scholar], shows Prionopodella to nest within Thereuoneminae, allied to other Asian/Australian genera, rather than in a basal position within Scutigeromorpha as is implied by Verhoeff's theory about primitive gonopod structure.  相似文献

The present study reports on collections of hypogean freshwater atyid shrimps of the genera Caridina Milne Edwards, 1837 Milne Edwards, H. 1837. Histoire naturalle des Crustacés, Comprenant l'Anatomie, la Physiologie et la Classification de ces Animaux, Vol. 2, 1532. Paris (France): Libraire Encyclopedique de Roret.  [Google Scholar], and Parisia Holthuis, 1956 Holthuis, L. B. 1956. The troglobic Atyidae of Madagascar (Crudtacea, Decapoda, Natantia), Mem Inst Sci Madagascar ser.. A., 11: 97110.  [Google Scholar], obtained from the karst caves and associated epigean waters of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Six species of Caridina were present, of which two are new to science and one is new to Sulawesi, as well as one new species of Parisia. Types of Caridina pareparensis De Man, 1892 De Man, J. G. 1892. Decapoden des Indischen Archipels.. Zool Ergebn Reise Niederland Ost‐Ind., 2: 265527. pl. 15–29 [Google Scholar], and C. pareparensis parvidentata Roux, 1904 Roux, J. 1904.
