Shell biometry and cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (CO1) mtDNA were studied in Daphniola exigua (Schmidt, 1856), D. graeca Radoman, 1973, and D. louisi Falniowski and Szarowska, 2000 from Greece. Principal component analysis of shell morphometry confirmed the distinctness of D. louisi along the PC3 axis. Kimura 2‐parameter (K2P) genetic distances within D. graeca and D. exigua were 0.016 and 0.003–0.008, respectively, all D. louisi sequences were identical. The distance between D. exigua and D. graeca was 0.013–0.027. The distances between D. louisi and D. graeca, and D. louisi and D. exigua, were 0.098–0.110 and 0.091–0.096, respectively. The mean distance between D. louisi and the other Daphniola species was 0.098±0.007, while between the eight Daphniola specimens and the so far closest species Grossuana codreanui (Grossu, 1946) was 0.102–0.123. A maximum likelihood tree was constructed for all Daphniola, with Grossuana codreanui and Bythinella austriaca (Frauenfeld, 1856) as an outgroup. This confirmed that D. louisi is a distinct species, and must have diverged after the Pliocene marine transgression. 相似文献

This paper contributes to the knowledge of the family Zerconidae, describing material collected from several locations in Croatia. Seventeen species are listed, four of them (Prozercon martae sp. nov., Zercon danyii sp. nov., Zercon laczii sp. nov. and Zercon lanceolatus sp. nov.) proved to be new to science, a further eight species (Zercon arcuatus Trägårdh, 1931, Zercon athiasi Vincze, 1965, Zercon berlesei Sellnick, 1958, Zercon latissimus Sellnick, 1944, Zercon romagniolus Sellnick, 1944, Zercon storkani Hala?ková, 1969, Zercon tematinensis Ma?án & Fend'a, 2004, Zercon (Zerconella) leitnerae Willmann, 1953) are recorded for the first time from Croatia. 相似文献

Shenius anomalus (Shen, 1935) has previously been assigned to the Macrophthalmidae Dana, 1851, and the Camptandriidae Stimpson, 1858. A close examination of adult and first stage zoeal morphology confirms some previous suggestions that S. anomalus is actually an anomalous member of the Dotillidae Stimpson, 1858. However, because a number of distinctive features distinguish it from all other dotillid genera a new subfamily Sheniinae is established. 相似文献

The selection of Tubulipora lobulata Hincks, 1880 as type species when establishing Oncousoecia is interpreted as a deliberate misapplication of a name, the nominal species T. lobulata having been originally described by Hassall in 1841. Canu is deemed to have created a new nominal species, Oncousoecia lobulata Canu, 1918, which is the valid type species of Oncousoecia. Microeciella Taylor and Sequeiros, 1982 and Eurystrotos Hayward and Ryland, 1985 have each been used to accommodate similar oncousoeciid species with subcircular colonies. The type species of Eurystrotos, Alecto compacta Norman, 1867, has a branching colony‐form and does not differ appreciably from Oncousoecia with which it is here synonymized. Another species, Diastopora suborbicularis Hincks, 1880, previously regarded as being a junior synonym of A. compacta Norman, 1867 (itself a subjective junior synonym of Alecto dilatans Johnston, 1847), has a different ancestrular morphology and an unbranched colony‐form. It is here transferred to Microeciella. 相似文献

The flabelligerid genus Flabelliderma Hartman, 1969 is redefined and its type species is re‐established. In comparison with Flabelligera Sars, 1829, the diagnostic features include the fusion of papillae forming tubercles, often adhering sediment particles, and notopodial lobes forming large ovoid lobes. Four species are described and presented as new combinations, and three others were previously undescribed; thus the species included are F. papillosa (Essenberg, 1922) from southern California, F. berkeleyorum n. sp. from Washington, F. claparedei (de Saint‐Joseph, 1898) from the Bay of Biscay, F. gourdoni (Gravier, 1906) from Antarctica, F. lighti n. sp. from Guadalupe Island, western Mexico, F. ockeri n. sp. from southern California, and F. pruvoti (Fauvel, 1930) from New Caledonia. 相似文献

Hesiospina Imajima and Hartman, 1964 (Psamathini, Hesionidae, Polychaeta) is revised based on examination of all available types, other museum specimens and a large number of newly collected specimens from world-wide areas. Two species are recognized and redescribed, Hesiospina aurantiaca (Sars, 1862), new combination, and H. vestimentifera Blake, 1985. The currently used name Hesiospina similis (Hessle, 1925) is treated as a junior synonym of both Hesiospina aurantiaca and Castalia longicornis Sars, 1862. A lectotype is designated for H. aurantiaca, and the same specimen is used as neotype for C. longicornis, making the two objective synonyms. Hesiospina aurantiaca is widely distributed and recorded from the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, European Atlantic and Mediterranean waters, Japan, Papua New Guinea, the Great Barrier Reef, and New Caledonia, mainly from shallow waters, but down to over 500?m depth. Whereas there are some differences between populations from different regions, including distribution of uni- and bidentate chaetae, the different populations are not characterized by any obvious apomorphies and are treated as a single species. Hesiospina vestimentifera is associated with hydrothermal vents and is widely distributed in the east Pacific. 相似文献

The Australian members of the subgenus, Sinella (Coecobrya) Yosii, are revised. A new species from Western Australia, Queensland, and the Northern Territory, Sinella (Coecobrya) tropicalis sp. nov., is described, Sinella (Coecobrya) tenebricosa Folsom, 1902 is recorded from Australia for the first time, and new records of Sinella (Coecobrya) communis Chen and Christiansen, 1997 are documented. Sinella (Coecobrya) caeca Schött, 1896 is considered a dubious record from Australia. A key is provided to the three known Australian species and a summary given of all dorsal and lateral chaetal patterns found on the fourth abdominal segment of subgenera Sinella Brook, 1882 and Coecobrya Yosii, 1956. The biogeography of the subgenus is described. 相似文献

Three species of pseudionine bopyrid isopods infesting four species of munidid squat lobsters are reported from Philippine waters: Pleurocryptella laevis (Richardson, 1910) from Agononida analoga (Macpherson, 1993); Aporobopyrus retrorsa (Richardson, 1910) from Munida philippinensis Macpherson and Baba, 1993 and Munida kuboi Yanagita, 1943; and Munidion laterale Richardson, 1910 from Paramunida scabra (Henderson, 1885). All of these hosts, except for Paramunida scabra, are recorded for the first time bearing parasitic isopods. 相似文献

Four new species of the genus Calamotropha Zeller are described from China: Calamotropha duofurcata sp. nov., Calamotropha abrupta sp. nov., Calamotropha aequilata sp. nov. and Calamotropha unispinea sp. nov. Three species are redescribed: Calamotropha formosella Bleszynski, 1961, Calamotropha josettae Bleszynski, 1961 and Calamotropha melli (Caradja and Meyrick, 1933). Calamotropha latella (Snellen, 1890) is newly recorded for China. Images of adults and illustrations of genitalia of the new species and the redescribed species are provided. A checklist and a key to the known Chinese species are presented, along with a map showing the distribution of these species. 相似文献

Recently the two Antarctic gorgonian species Stenella (Dasystenella) liouvillei Gravier, 1913 and Thouarella abies Broch, 1965 were synonymized and considered as Fannyella (Scyphogorgia) liouvillei. The re-examination of the type material of both species and newly collected specimens demonstrate that this synonym can no longer be considered valid. In the present study we propose, following the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, to change the current type species of the subgenus Scyphogorgia, Stenella liouvillei, to Thouarella abies, the new combination being Fannyella (Scyphogorgia) abies. Furthermore we propose a new genus, Scopaegorgia, to accommodate Stenella liouvillei. Both species are completely re-described from the type material and the abundant specimens collected during some recent Antarctic cruises. 相似文献

Hepsetus cuvieri (Castelnau, 1861), originally described from “lac N'gami” (Botswana) and synonymized with H. odoe (Bloch, 1794) by Roberts (1984), is revalidated. Hepsetus cuvieri can be readily distinguished from H. odoe based on a lower total number of gill rakers (8–13 versus 14–21); a generally higher number of scales between the dorsal fin and the lateral line (10½–11½ versus 7½–10½) and a higher number of scales between the adipose fin and the lateral line (6½–7½ versus 4½–6½) and other characters. A neotype is designated, as the holotype of this nominal species is apparently lost. Hepsetus cuvieri is restricted to the Quanza, Zambezi ichthyofaunal provinces and the southern part of the Congo Basin, i.e. the Congo ichthyofaunal province. 相似文献
