Effects were examined of atropine, diazepam, pethidene, promethazine, scopolamine, omnopon and papaverine on basal and noradrenaline-stimulated lipolysis in rat isolated fat cells and on rat adipose tissue cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase activity. Papaverine at high concentration (1 mM) inhibited both basal and hormone-stimulated lipolysis, whereas diazepam enhanced basal lipolysis. At a 'clinical dose', omnopon increased both basal and noradrenaline-stimulated lipolysis. Adipose tissue cAMP phosphodiesterase activity was strongly inhibited by 1 mM diazepam, papaverine, promethazine and omnopon (280 microgram ml-1). Lack of enhancement of lipolysis by the established cAMP phosphodiesterase antagonist papaverine, is compatible with simultaneous inhibition also of adipose adenyl cyclase. Diazepam-stimulated lipolysis is compatible with its phosphodiesterase inhibitory activity. It is proposed that papaverine-containing omnopon may offer some survival advantages during surgical stress by facilitating a caloric supply.  相似文献

Summary [1-N4-Dimethyl-asparagine]-angiotensin II was synthesized by Merrifield's solid-phase procedure. The analogue gave rat blood pressure about 70% relative potency to Hypertensin (Ciba). Zusammenfassung Unter einer grossen Anzahl semi-synthetischer Rifamycinderivate wurde eine Gruppe strukturell verwandter Verbindungen gefunden, die neben ihrer hohen Wirksamkeit (MIC 0,002-0,01 g/ml) gegenüber rifampicinsensiblen, grampositiven Keimen in vitro auch eine gute Wirkung (MIC 1–10 (g/ml) gegenüber rifampicinresistenten, grampositiven Keimen aufweisen. Die Resistenzrate grampositiver rifampicinresistenter und -sensibler Keime ist bezüglich dieser Verbindungen mindestens 100mal kleiner als bei Rifampicin. Die Wirkung gegenüber resistenten Keimen scheint nicht auf einer Beeinflussung der DNA-abhängigen RNA-Polymerase zu beruhen. Eine Struktur-Wirkungs-Beziehung wird angegeben.  相似文献

Summary Direct incorporation and cold trap experiments suggest that cholest-4-en-3-one is an intermediate in the conversion of cholesterol into 3-hydroxymethyl-A-nor-cholestane in the marine spongeAxinella verrucosa. Cholest-4-en-3-one is further transformed by the sponge into cholest-4-en-3-ol, 5-cholestan-3-one and 5-cholestan-3-ol; these compounds arise from side reactions, which are not part of the major metabolic route leading to 3-hydroxymethyl-A-norsteranes.  相似文献

Summary 11-(R)-2H porphobilinogen, stereospecifically labelled with deuterium in the aminomethylene group has been incorporated into protoporphyrin-IX by haemolysates of chicken erythrocytes. Summary The miracle of caryokinesis was the starting point that stimulated Alexander G. Gurwitsch to carry out his famous mitogenetic experiments in 1923. The results obtained confirmed his hypothesis of a weak radiation from cells, which is able to trigger the growth of other cells. Extensive experimental work within the first two decades after this discovery indicated that the problem of mitogenetic radiations is generally related to the biological significance of UV-radiation. Both energetic and informational aspects have to be considered, namely radiation effective in activating molecules, and that involved in arranging them into larger units.The molecular organization of biological structures is evidently governed by nonequilibrium conditions needing the uptake or emission of radiation. These concepts of A. G. Gurwitsch can be linked with modern approaches based on hypotheses of coherence in biology, synergetics and dissipative structures. However, the question of causal interrelationships between this part of non-equilibrium radiation and biological matter on different levels of evolution has to be solved now.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Alkylierung von 2 Thiolgruppen pro Myosin mit NEM bei 0°C in Gegenwart einer Diophosphatkette inaktiviert die K-ATPase vollständig.In Myofibrillen werden diese Thiolgruppen durch Rigor-interaction beider Myosinköpfchen mit Actin vor Alkylierung geschützt. In Gegenwart von Mg-ADP tritt eine spezifische vom Rigor verschiedene interaction zwischen Myosin und Actin auf. Man muss annehemen, dass dabei nur 1 Myosinköpfchen ans Actin bindet und dass das andere Köpfchen ein ADP gebunden hat.  相似文献
