Riassunto Un nuovo pigmento feomelanico, denominato tricosiderina B, è stato isolato dalle piume di pollo di razza New Hampshire. Sulla base delle proprietà chimiche e spettrali a tale pigmento, C₂₃H₂₀N₄O₉S₂, è stata assegnata la struttura ^2,2-bibenzotiazinica IV.

The isolation and structure of 13,18-dehydroglaucarubinone,a new antineoplastic quassinoid fromSimarouba amara

Summary An investigation of the Guyana plantSimarouba amara Aubl. (Simaroubaceae) for antineoplastic quassinoids led to isolation and structural determination of the new quassinoids 2-acetylglaucarubine (1a) and 13,18-dehydroglaucarubinone (2). The previously known 2-acetylglaucarubinone (3a) and glaucarubinone (3b) were also obtained. The new quassinoid2 was found significantly to inhibit growth of the murine lymphocytic leukemia P388.Antineoplastic agents 59. For part 58 refer to M. T. Edgar, G.R. Pettit and T.H. Smith, J. org. The X-ray analysis of the structure of rifamycin B

Zusammenfassung Die molekulare Struktur des Rifamycins B wurde durch Röntgen-Strukturanalyse der Kristalle seinesp-Jodanilids bestimmt. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die vor kurzem auf chemischem Wege aufgeklärte Konstitution und liefern darüber hinaus interessante Auskunft über die Konfiguration und Konformation der Rifamycine.

Zusammenfassung Edein D wurde aus dem komplexen Antibioticum Edein mit Hilfe von Verteilungs-Chromatographie abgetrennt. Als Bausteine von Edein D wurden 3-Amino-3-phenyl-propionsäure, 3-Amino-2-hydroxypropionsäure, 2,3-Diaminpropionsäure, 2,6-Diamin-7-hydroxy-azelainsäure, Glycin und Spermidin ermittelt.

Zusammenfassung Es wird nachgewiesen, dass die menschliche Plazenta enzymatisch Cortisol in ein? ⁴-3-Ketosteroid mit Glycerol-Seitenkette, welches mehr polar ist als die 20α- und 20β-Derivate des 6-β-OH-Cortisols, umwandeln kann. Es scheint, dass die Plazenta dieses Steroid das aus dem Urin schwangerer Frauen isoliert wurde, selbst bildet.      

The isolation and amino acid sequences of new pyroglutamylpeptides from snake venoms

Zusammenfassung Die Strukturaufklärung von zwei neuen tryptophanhaltigen Peptiden im Schlangengift vonAgkistrodon halys blomhoffii ergeben:l-Pyroglutamyl-l-Glutaminyl-l-Tryptophan undl-Pyroglutamyl-l-Asparaginyl-l-Tryptophan. Diese Peptide sind in Schlangengiften der Viperidae- und Crotalidae-Arten verbreitet.

The structure of napelline and songorine

Zusammenfassung Für das Aconitum-Alkaloid Napellin wurden auf Grund einer eingehenden Diskussion des Tatsachenmaterials die Strukturen XI bzw. X vorgeschlagen. Das Alkaloid Songorin ist das dazugehörige Ring-D-Keton.     

Alterations in the structure of theOctopus vulgaris chromatophore by cytochalasin B

Zusammenfassung Nachweis, dass die Chromatophoren vonOctopus vulgaris bei Inkubation mit Cytochalasin B strukturelle Veränderungen zeigen. Eine signifikante Zunahme von Pigmentkörnern ausserhalb des Pigmentbehälters ist festzustellen. Es wird angenommen, dass Cytochalasin B einen Mechanismus stört, der normalerweise Zusammenhalt und Verteilung der Pigmentgranula koordiniert.
