Chromosomal abnormalities in an anholocyclic biotype ofMyzus persicae (sulzer)

Résumé Le karyotype normal deMyzus persicae (Sulzer) provenant de diverses sources fut de 2n=12. Une forme anholocyclique verte de cette espèce possède un karyotype de 2n=13 ou 2n=14, avec 1 ou 2 autosomes non appariés. Une comparaison des dimensions relatives des chromosomes des karyotypes normaux et anormaux suggère que ces derniers dérivent des chromosomes par fragmentation.

Zusammenfassung Die somatischen Chromosomen der 3 EidechsenartenGekko gecko (2N=38),Iguana iguana (2N=34) undCrotophytus collaris (2N=36), werden dargestellt.G. gecko besitzt metazentrische, subteleozentrische und teleozentrische Elemente, aber keine Mikrochromosomen.I. iguana undC. collaris besitzen Makrochromosomen (6 Paare) und Mikrochromosomen. Bei den ArtenG. gecko undI. iguana waren in keinen von beiden Geschlechtern heteromorphische Chromosomenpaare nach zuweisen.

Zusammenfassung Die Zahl der diploiden Chromosomen vonMarmota caligata undM. flaviventris ist 42 in Bevölkerungen der nördlichen und südlichen Verbreitungsgebiete beider Spezies. Ein Vergleich zwischen den bisher veröffentlichten Informationen überMarmota-Chromosomen mit Angaben über ihre Morphologie, Ekologie, Zoogeographie legt nahe, dass die ursprüngliche Chromosomenzahl 2n 38–40 war.

DasX-Chromosom misst 6,8% von (nA + X). Sein funktioneller Anteil ist zweigeteilt, daneben verfügt es über einen strukturell heterochromatischen und einen stets euchromatisch bleibenden Anteil. DasY ist für ein Säugetier aussergewöhnlich gross (2/3 desX).

Characterization of DNAs fromCoprinus lagopus andMucor azygospora

Resumé Les rapports G+C des ADN deCoprinus lagopus etMucor azygospora ont été étudiés. Le profil de fusion indique que l'ADN duC. lagopus est composé de deux fractions, une principale (90%) de rapport G+C 52 moles pourcent, une mineure (10%) de G+C 32 moles pourcent. Par contre l'ADN deM. azygospora contient une fraction unique de G+C 38 moles pourcent. L'étude de la cinétique de réassociation DNA:DNA montre que la dimension génomique («genome size») deC. lagopus est de 2×10¹² et qu'il y a moin de 10% de DNA à séquences répétées de nucléotides.

Chromosome complement of tenrecs,Centetes ecaudatus (Order Insectivora,Class Mammalia)

Résumé Dans les leucoyctes en culture de 7 TenrecsCentetes ecaudatus (4 mâles et 3 femelles) provenant de la République Malgache, l'auteur a compté 38 chromosomes et constaté que les sexes ont un caryocyte distinct. C'est la première étude faite sur les chromosomes d'un représentant de la famille des Tenrecidae (Insectivores).

Skin fibroplast cells were cultured fromCentetes ecaudatus (Animal No. 2). These cells gave a count of 38 chromosomes. Using the same techniques as above, whole blood cultures of the related tenrec,Hemicentetes semispinosus G. Cuvier, were counted. Preliminary studies indicate 38 chromosomes for this speices.     

Chromosome polymorphism in the malayan house shrew,Suncus murinus (insectivora,soricidae)

Zusammenfassung 15 Exemplare vonSuncus murinus aus Kuala Lumpur und Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Malaysia) zeigten 3 Exemplare mit einer diploiden Zahl von 40, 9 weitere mit 2n=39 und 3 Exemplare mit 2n=38. Der Untrschied der Chromosomenzahl innerhalb einer Intrapopulation wird mit der Robertson'schen Translokation in Zusammenhang gebracht.     

Chromosomes of some Asian and South American squirrels (rodentia: Sciuridae)

Zusammenfassung Chromosomensätze verschiedener Sciurinae sind:Sciurus anomalus (2n=40),S. granatensis (2n=42),Callosciurus flavimanus (2n=40),Dremomys rufigenis (2n=38) undMenetes berdmorei (2n= 62). Ein Vergleich mit früher beschriebenen Sciurinae-Karyotypen ergibt als ursprünglich diploide Sätze 38–40, Spaltung, sowie Fusion zu grösseren und kleineren2n's führend.     

Chromosomes of some squirrels (mammalia — sciuridae) from the generaSciurus andGlaucomys

Zusammenfassung Die Analyse der mitotischen Chromosomen beiSciurus carolinensis, S. niger undS. aberti ergibt die diploide Zahl 40 und gleichartige Karyotypen.S. griseus, 2n 40, hat einzigeY Chromosomen und sekundäre Konstriktionen in 4 Autosomen.Glaucomys sabrinus undG. volans, 2n 48, zeigten kleinere Unterschiede der Karyotypen. Taxonomische Bezeichnungen vonSciurus, Glaucomys undTamiasciurus werden erörtert.

Homozygous reciprocal translocation as a mode of speciation inMicrogale thomas 1883 (Tenrecidae-insectivora)

Résumé Deux espèces d'insectivores,Microgale dobsoni etM. talazaci, ont le même nombre de chromosomes, 2n=30. Leurs caryotypes respectifs présentent des différences portant sur 2 pairs d'autosomes. Une translocation réciproque, devenue homocygote, permet d'expliquer ces différences. On peut concevoir que la spéciation est alors intervenue à la suite d'effets de position, de la stérilité des hybrides et de la préférence des porteurs de formules chromosomiques différentes pour telle ou telle «niche» écologique.

Bestimmung des DNS-Gehaltes in Zellkernen des Nervengewebes vonHelix pomatia L. undPlanorbarius corneus L. (Stylommatophora und Basommatophora,Gastropoda)

Summary It has been demonstrated by cytophotometric measurements of the DNA-content in glial- and nerve cells of the snailsHelix pomatia (Stylommatophora) andPlanorbarius corneus (Basommatophora) that the giant nuclei of nerve cells in the central ganglia contain more than tens of thousands of DNA compared with sperm nuclei. According to the DNA-content of sperms (=n), the values for glial cells are between 2n and 4n for both species.
