Effet de quelques anesthésiques sur le flux sanguin de la muqueuse gastrique,chez le Rat

Summary Effects of ether, nembutal or urethane anaesthesia on gastric secretion and mucosal blood flow (MBF) are studied in the Rat; these 3 anaesthetics alter neither volume nor total acidity of juice, but free acidity and proteolytic activity are more importance after ether anaesthesia; MBF is highest in nembutal anaesthetized rats; therefore nembutal is the best anaesthetic for studies of digestive physiology or pharmacology.     

Action de divers effecteurs sur l'activité biologique de la mannosyl-transférase microsomique des splénocytes de Rat

Summary The splenic cellular microsomic mannosyltransferase is inhibited by detergent (Triton X 100 and Cemulsol), deoxycholate, dithiotreitol and cyclcheximide, but activated by nucleoside-triphosphates (ATP and GTP) and analogous ( -methylene-ATP or GTP); the enzyme is also activated by puromycine. This is good evidence for the sensitivity of the enzyme to any alteration of subcellular architecture at the microsomal level, and for the possibility of good transglycosylation when polypeptide is detached of ribosomes.

Summary Cultures of HeLa cells treated with ATP show an increased uptake of DNA-H³ for a short period of treatment. In the light ofGropp's findings on pinocytosis activation, it is tempting to suppose that the stimulation of DNA-uptake by ATP is mediated through an activity of the latter on pinocytosis.

Effet de l'oxygène et deO-(β-hydroxyaethyl)-rutosidea sur (HR)1 l'artère mésentérique de l'embryon de poulet expantée in vitro

Summary The effect of oxygen and of the semisynthetic flavonoidO-(-hydroxyaethyl)-rutosidea (HR) on the mesenteric artery of chicken embryo explanted in vitro has been studied. The protective effect of HR on the explants appears in anoxic (N₂) and hypoxic (2% O₂) atmosphere, but only during the first 24h of culture. In hyperoxic atmosphere (97% O₂) only after 3 days of culture HR has a protective action on the explants against the toxic effects of oxygen.

Effet de l'ablation partielle ou totale du tissu rénal sur l'hypertension rénovasculaire chez le rat

Summary Arterial hypertension, elicited in the rat by partial renal artery constriction, appears faster and affects more animals when the controlateral kidney is removed simultaneously. Excision of the ischemic kidney after hypertension of 1 to 3 weeks duration is not followed by any fall of blood pressure during the first 24 h. If the arterial constriction is not accompanied by controlateral nephrectomy, hypertension disappears after removal of the ischemic kidney, diminishes after bilateral nephrectomy and is increased by excision of the un-touched kidney.

Summary After having identified as dioctyl-phthalate (DOP), a plasticizer that comes out with fatty acids of normal immunoglobulins G (IgG) and of those of Kahler's disease, we found out that DOP is preferentially bound to the heavy chains of the IgG and is either missing from myeloma proteins or more abundant in them than in normal ones.     

Effet des analgésiques non narcotiques sur l'hypotension due à la bradykinine

Summary Hypotension, induced by intravenous injections of bradykinin in the rabbit, was studied after nontoxic doses of non-narcotic analgesics and other drugs. Non-narcotic analgesics accelerated the speed of return to 50% normal blood pressure, whereas morphine, cyproheptadine, dexamethasone and hydrocortisone had no effect. Phentolamine-treated animals reacted similarly. This acceleration appears to be due to a specific antagonism of the non-narcotic analgesics and not to a liberation of adrenalin.

Summary The action of angiotensin II on cardiac uptake of norepinephrine was investigated in the rat in vivo and in vitro. In contrast to desipramine, neither infusion of subpressive (10 ng/kg/min) or pressive (50–150 ng/kg/min) amounts of angiotensin on intact and/or binephrectomized rats, nor incubation of cardiac slices with angiotensin II (10^–5; 10^–9 M) impair the accumulation of tritiated norepinephrine and the level of metabolites. It is thus concluded that there is no inhibiting action of angiotensin II on the cardiac uptake of norepinephrine.     

Dosage de la noradrénaline,de la dopamine et de l'acide dihydroxyphénylacétique dans certains noyaux du cerveau de Rat

Summary After thin-layer chromatography separation, we have assayed quantitatively noradrenaline, dopamine and its deaminated metabolite 3–4 dihydroxyphenylacetic acid by the ethylenediamine method. In the hypothalamus and the caudate nucleus, the values obtained for the amines and phenolic acid estimation are equivalent or higher than those found by other authors. The presence of ascorbic acid has been shown in the caudate nucleus.
