NSFC-JST Workshop on Energy Saving Held in Beijing

<正>Jointly organized by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) and Japan Science and Technology Agency(JST),a workshop onEnergy Recycling Technology for Waste and Exhaust Heatwas held in Beijing on August 30-31. NSFC Vice President He Minghong and JST Executive Director Akira Takamatsu were at the meeting and delivered opening remarks respectively.More than 20 scientists from China and Japan attended the meeting. Ten-Year Anniversary Workshop of NSFC-IIASA Young Scientists Summer Program Held in Beijing

On September 12^th,2012,Ten-Year Anniversary Workshop of NSFC-HASA Young Scientists Summer Program（YSSP） was held in NSFC.On behalf of the NSFC,Vice President,Prof.Wang Jie delivereda speech at the opening ceremony.50 or so participants including4 scholars from the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis（ⅡASA）,researchers from relevant Chinese universities and institutions, representatives of the Bureau of International Cooperation and Department of Management Sciences     

The 2nd NSFC-JST Workshop Held in Tokyo

On May 31 and June 1, 2005, the 2nd NSFC-JST workshop on S&T for Environmental Conservation andConstruction of a Society with Less Environmental Burden was held in Tokyo. The two themes were "Environ-ments and Health" and "New Energy". ＂NSFC-IRRI Joint Workshop on Rice Science＂ Held in Hangzhou

From December 17 to 19, 2008, ＂NSFC-IRRI Joint Workshop on Rice Science＂ was successfully held in Hangzhou. The workshop was jointly organized by NSFC and International Rice Research Institute （IR- RI）, and hosted by China National Rice Research Institute.     

Joint Sino-US Symposium on Ecological Complexity and Ecosystem Services Held in Beijing

May24-25, 2004, Joint Sino-US Symposium on Eco-logical Complexity and Ecosys-tem Services was held in Bei-jing. The symposium was co-sponsored by NSFC, CAS and NSF, and was organized by InstituteofZoology, CAS and Arizona State University. Prof.Zhu Zuoyan, Vice President of NSFC, attended the opening ceremony and made an impor-tant speech.     

The First Sino-Thailand Joint Workshop for Natural Products and Drug Discovery Held in Chengdu

The First Sino-Thailand Joint Workshop for Natural Products and Drug Discovery was successfully held in Chengdu from September 16 to 19, 2008. This is the first workshop jointly organized by NSFC and Thailand Research Fund （TRF） under the MOU between the two funding agencies. The Sino-U.K. Seminar on Genome Analysis and Bio-molecular Sciences Held in Beijing

Co-sponsored by NSFC and the British Council, the Sino-UK Seminar on Genome Analysis and Bio-molecular Sciences was held in Beijing from Mar. 14 to 15. Prof. Zhu Zuoyan, Vice President of NSFC, attended the seminar and extended his warm congratulations on behalfofNSFC. In his speech, he also expressed his hope that young scientists from both China and the UK should build up friendship and cooperation through dialogue and mutual understanding so as to work for a brighter future.     

“Sino-US Forum on Basic Science for the Next Fifteen Years” Held in Beijing

February 16-17, 2004, “Sino-US Forum on Basic Science for the Next Fifteen Years”, co-sponsored by NSFCand NSF, was held in Beijing. The meeting discussed the future of basic science in the next 15 years and provided con-sultancy to China‘s research for developing medium and long term strategic plan for basic science development.Dr. Joseph Bordogna, Deputy Director of NSF attended the meeting as the leader of the US delegation.     

Workshop on Key Issues in Major Research Plan "Study on the Signal Conduction Process Based on Chemical Small Molecular Probe" Held

The workshop on key analysis method and largescale facilities application in the project of Major Research Plan "Study on the Signal Conduction Process Based on Chemical Small Molecular Probe" was held in the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory, Anhui on January 5th, 2008.

The 4th Plenary Session of the 6th NSFC General Assembly was held in Beijing on March 23rd,2011.
