Zusammenfassung Eine halbe Stunde nach der i.v. Injektion wurde Testosterone-3H von den Nerven- und Glialzellen innerhalb des Gehirns der weiblichen Ratte und Estradiol-3H innerhalb des Gehirns der männlichen Ratte aufgenommen. Zwei Stunden nach der Injektion war die Aufnahme in hohem Masse nur noch in gewissen Teilen des hypothalamisch-limbischen Systems vorhanden.

The content of ACTH of the pars distalis and neurointermedia of the pituitary of adult Rats is higher in the male than in the female. This differenciation of content, according to sex, appears at puberty at the site of pars distalis; it only appears around the 60th day of life at the site of the pars intermedia. The androgens seem to be responsible for the higher percentages observed in the males.  相似文献

Summary The GnRH system was studied in the brain of the sole by immunocytochemistry (peroxidase-antiperoxidase method) (PAP) using antibodies to synthetic salmon GnRH (s-GnRH). Two centers containing immunoreactive cell bodies were observed in the forebrain, one located at the junction between the olfactory bulbs and the telencephalon and the other in the preoptic area. Numerous immunoreactive fibers were found, especially in the telencephalon, hypothalamus, pituitary, optic tectum and retina.  相似文献

Summary Autoradiographic studies with3H aldosterone demonstrate nuclear concentration of hormone in neurons of the hippocampus, septum, allocortical regionss and brain stem reticular formation and motor nuclei of cranial nerves and in the meninges. The results suggest that mineralocorticoids have wide ranging effects on different parts of the central nervous system.This work was supported by the Medical Research Council of Canada and by PHS grant NS09914. The purification of guanylate cyclase has been achieved. After electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gel only one protein band was observed. The low factor of purification must therefore be ascribed to the loss of an activator of guanylate cyclase. Stimulation of the activity by nitroprusside is also lost during purification. The purified enzyme follows Michaelis--Menten kinetics, it is activated by Mn++ ions and inhibited by triphospho nucleotides.  相似文献

With obtention of specific antibodies against isoenzyme C of Rat carbonic anhydrase it was possible to realize an immunohistochemical localisation in central nervous system of Rat. Results showed that this enzyme was mainly localized in cytoplasm of oligodendroglial cells and in low concentration in myelin sheath.  相似文献

Summary The distribution of the 14-3-2 protein in rat brain synapses was studied by immuno electron microscopy. The protein was localized to the postsynaptic web and to the postsynaptic membrane, but was also prominent both in the presynaptic membrane and in the presynaptic densities. Using the sensitive protein A-gold technique for the demonstration of antigenic sites in thin section for electron microscopy it was found that in the alpha granules of human pancreas, glucagon immunoreactivity (specific, C-terminal) is restricted to the dense granule core while glicentin immunoreactivity predominates on the peripheral halo surrounding the dense core.  相似文献

The isolated adrenal cell method for bioassay of ACTH was employed in order to determine the ACTH content of the hypophysis of the rat foetus, in late pregnancy. The ACTH concentration decreases between 17 days 8 h and 17 days 15 h, then it increases regularly until the term. This evolution is correlated with the change in the fluorescence intensity of the corticotrophs and with the modification of the adrenocortical activity.  相似文献

Dopaminergic neurons in the mammalian brain have received substantial attention in the past given their fundamental role in several body functions and behaviours. The largest dopaminergic population is found in two nuclei of the ventral midbrain. Cells of the substantia nigra pars compacta are involved in the control of voluntary movements and postural reflexes, and their degeneration in the adult brain leads to Parkinson’s disease. Cells of the ventral tegmental area modulate rewarding and cognitive behaviours, and their dysfunction is involved in the pathogenesis of addictive disorders and schizophrenia. Because of their clinical relevance, the embryonic development and maintenance of the midbrain dopaminergic cell groups in the adult have been intensively studied in recent years. In the present review, we provide an overview of the mechanisms and factors involved in the development of dopaminergic neurons in the mammalian brain, with a special emphasis on the midbrain dopaminergic population. Comparison of adjacent serial sections of the tubero-infundibular region of Human adult hypothalamus demonstrates that the same perikarya, axons and terminals are stained both with anti-beta-endorphin and anti 17-39 ACTH antisera. The most immunoreactive of these neurons are also revealed with anti alpha-endorphin, anti alpha and beta-MSH, anti-1-24 ACTH and anti beta-LPH. These results suggest that neurons of the infundibular nucleus can store and probably secrete peptide similar to propiocortin or fragment(s) of this molecule.  相似文献

Adrenocorticotropin hormone (ACTH) receptor-like messenger RNA was localized in molluscan hemocytes and human peripheral blood mononuclear cells by in situ hybridization using a digoxigenin-labelled bovine complementary DNA probe. These findings suggest that the ACTH receptor gene has been highly conserved during evolution. Moreover, these data represent further support for a relationship between the immune and neuroendocrine systems in invertebrates, as documented in our previous studies [1].
