Summary Oral treatment with ketoconazole prevented and cured artificial crop candidosis of the turkey, vaginal candidosis of the rat and skin candidosis of the guinea-pig. It was also highly effective against artificial systemic candidosis of the guinea-pig and chicken as well as against dermatophytoses of the guinea-pig.This work was supported by the Instituut tot Aanmoediging van het Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek in Nijverheid en Landbouw.  相似文献

Myosin and actin were localized in the adrenal gland, using antibodies against these proteins which were isolated from chicken gizzard. Myosin and actin were preferentially located in vascular walls including endothelial cells and in the capsule. In rat and guinea-pig adrenal cortex, the amount of contractile elements in vascular walls corresponded well to the density of adrenergic nerves as revealed with the glyoxylic acid method.  相似文献

Immunodiffusion technique, with rabbits antibodies against rat glomerular basement membrane (GBM), permits to evidence the presence of GBM antigens into normal urines of 3 rodents (rat, mouse, and guinea-pig). These results confirm the earlier works in human and rabbit urines and show the antigenic communauty existing between the 3 rodents GBM, since we can evidence antigens of 3 different mammals with the same antibody. The origin and the nature of this patterns and the signification of this presence into mammalian urines are discussed.  相似文献

Summary The distribution of the enzyme leucine amino peptidase (LAP) has been studied histochemically in immature and mature guinea-pig testes. Immature guinea-pig testis showed a very feeble LAP activity, while in mature ones strong LAP activity was noted. Summary In contrast to the urinary fibrinolysokinase (=urokinase) of other species, the urokinase in guineapigs reveals a most peculiar behaviour. A significant and well reproducible activation of fibrinolysin is obtainable only when guinea-pig fibrinolysin is used. Fibrinolysin of other species is only slightly activated. The changes in short-circuit current occurring when one or both solutions bathing the intestine of rat or guinea-pig mounted in flux chambers were recorded. The results with the guinea-pig can be explained in terms of diffusion potentials arising from the ionic replacements, and an electrogenic sodium pump, sensitive to ouabain, in the contraluminal membrane of the cell. Summary In the dog and guinea-pig submandibular glands kallikrein seems to be present in the striated duct cells. Following sympathetic nerve and in vivo isoproterenol stimulation of the dog and guinea-pig submandibular gland respectively, there is a reduction of kallikrein concentration. Ultrastructurally this reduction corresponds to the decrease of straited duct secretory granules in both species. An alkaline hemoglobinolytic protease was extracted from the delayed hypersensitivity skin lesions induced by bovine gamma-globulin as an antigen in the guinea-pig. In the guinea-pig oviduct they are 40–50 mV in amplitude and have a duration of 1.5 sec in the isthmus.
