Riassunto In un lotto di conigli si è indagata, con tests elettromiografici, l'eventuale azione della LSD 25 a livello della giunzione neuromuscolare.Dalle esperienze effettuate è emerso che la sostanza (alla dose di mg 0,05-0,1-0,15 endovena, in animali di kg 2 circa) non possiede nè un'azione curarosimile, nè un'azione anticurarica.Si è potuto rilevare inoltre, con opportune ricerche che la LSD25 non interferisce, in alcun modo, sulla modesta azione anticurarica esercitata dalla serotonina e documentata in altra sede.

Summary Diluted serum was treated with diluted acid. Between pH 7·8 and 6·5 a part of the globulines is precipitated whose composition changes in favour of the more rapidly migrating fractions with rising pH. Sera denaturated by heat are flocculated quantitatively and behave like one monodisperse protein also in electrophoresis and chromatography. This leads to the conclusion, other than after denaturation, that negative loads of native proteins possess different strengths of absorption toward H.

Summary Continuation of glycolysis in human erythrocytes by incubation of heparinized whole blood at 37°C is followed by a decrease in the Mg-content of red cells. On inhibition of glycolysis by cold (4°C), the Mg-content of erythrocytes remains unaltered or, often, slightly increases. These actions are in clear contrast to the behaviour of potassium ions under the same conditions.

Summary Acetophenone derivatives with a cortisone-like side chain have been investigated for their catalytic effect on the autoxydation of linolenic acid.-Hydroxy-acetophenone and the substituted-hydroxy-3,4-dimethoxyacetophenone are the substances with the simplest structure having a catalytic effect quantitatively and qualitatively similar to that of cortisone.The significance of substituents in the ring for the catalytic activity of the side chain is discussed.

Summary (1) The relation between photodynamic effect and intensity of ultra-violet radiation was investigated by means of the lethal-curve of yeast cells treated with benzpyrene as photosensibilizer.(2) If the dosis of radiation ist kept constant, the resulting photodynamic effect decreases rapidly with diminishing intensity.

Summary Relations between structure and biological activity of some new analogues of muscarine are demonstrated. From the results a theory of cholinergic action and the structure of active acetylcholine, as well as the cholinergic receptor, may be developed.     

Experimenteller Nachweis der autochthonen Automatie der Lymphgefässe

Summary It is shown that the peristaltic activity of the isolated mesenterial-lymph vessels of mammals (Cavia porcellus L.) is provoked by two different stimuli:1. by extension (internal pressure of the vessel: 2–25 cm H₂O); 2. by temperature (biokinetic Temperature-Space of 23°; between 22–45°C).Based on these experiments, the autochthonous automaticy of the lymph vessels has been proved.

Summary The respiration quotient (R Q) of the tobacco leaves is always higher than one. In contrast to that of the leaves of succulent plants it does not drop below unity during the night. From this it is concluded that the organic acids (malic, oxalic and citric acids), which serve as respiration substrate, cannot be related to the carbohydrate metabolism (tricarbon acid cycle). They must rather be considered as primary assimilation products or as related to the nitrogen metabolism (transamination of the primary assimilation product aspartic acid).

Résumé La fécondation des ufs de la truite avec du sperme mélangé influence la quantité d'acide ribonucléique au cours de la gastrulation. L'augmentation de l'acide ribonucléique est accompagnée d'une réduction de la mortalité des embryons. L'uf non fécondé ne contient pas d'acide ribonucléique chimiquement déterminable. Cet acide est synthétisé au cours du développement à partir de la fécondation des ufs. Il n'est pas certain que la fécondation avec du sperme mélangé trouble la synthèse de l'acide thymonucléique pendant la mitose.

Summary Rats were treated during embryonic life with mouse tissue. When these rats had reached a weight of 50 g they were implanted with the Crocker sarcoma S 180 of the mouse. These heterologous tumors grew to a large size but not indefinitely.
