The intracardiac injection (50 microgram/g) of GABA to Carps clearly inhibits the rise of the plasma cortisol level which occurs usually in response to the blood sampling manipulations. The inhibition starts thirty minutes after injection and lasts till the end of the experiment two hours later. The hypothesis that this neurotransmitter has a regulatory function on the corticotrop cells, especially on the excretion of ACTH has to be considered.  相似文献

Summary The carp, Cyprinus carpio (Teleostomi), is a tetraploid species which currently expresses 52% of its duplicate enzyme loci. Purified gonadotropin subunits of a teleost Fish, the Carp, reassociated in vitro, according to a second order rate reaction. The rate constant was temperature dependent. Compared to ovine LH, the Q10 was about three times less and the rate constant much greater (160 times for instance at 20 degrees C). Résumé Les mesures de résonance paramagnétique électronique effectuées jusqu' à présent sur le muscle n'ont pas tenu compte de la différentiation de ce tissu en muscles blancs et rouges. Nous avons comparé les signaux du muscle blanc, du muscle cardiaque et de divers muscles rouges de carpe. Le muscle blanc présente une très faible intensité; le myocarde et différents muscles rouges donnent des valeurs plus élevées en accord avec leur plus grande teneur en mitochondries. Le muscle rouge de la ligne latérale se distingue toutefois des autres muscles rouges par un signal environ 2×plus intense dû, comme le montrent des examens histologiques, à la présence dans ce cas de mélanocytes situés le long de faisceaux conjonctifs et de capillaires sanguins.  相似文献

Summary In this paper we give some values of glycogen phosphorylase activity of heart, red muscle and white muscle from the Carp. We show that in vitro optimum temperature is 25°C for the fish, and not 30°C as in Mammalians. We also made measurements with rat and tench liver, but it has been impossible, under the same experimental conditions, to observe normal release of inorganic phosphorus from G-1-P with carp liver.  相似文献

An immunocytological study of the basal hypothalamus of Carassius auratus and Cyprinus carpio with an alpha-endorphin antiserum shows the different nerve processes belonging probably to the immunoreactive cells of the lateral part of the N.L.T. According to their pathways, two main fibre tracts have been distinguished: many fluorescent fibres converge towards the pituitary gland into which they enter, other fibres run caudally through the tuber towards the nucleus tuberis inferior (Baumgarten and Braak) where they could not be followed further.  相似文献

Summary Measurements were made of the deformability of the red cells of carp at different temperatures and compared with previous results obtained with another teleost fish (yellowtail) and human red cells. Changes with temperature are similar to those obtained with yellowtail, but interpretation of differences in terms of mean corpuscular volume alone are insufficient to account for the variations, which seem to be mainly due to differences in cellular deformability of the cells themselves.Acknowledgment. Neurons of the pars lateralis of the N.L.T. of Carassius auratus and Cyprinus carpio display a positive immunocytological reaction with an anti alpha-endorphin serum. It is assumed that the peptides produced by these neurons are similar, if not identical, with alpha-endorphin, but their morphinomimetic properties have still to be established. Peptides of this kind may participate in the regulation of pituitary functions.  相似文献

Summary Triweekly i.m. injections of clomiphene citrate (group 1, 25 g/0.5 ml and group II, 50 g/1.0 ml) were administered for a period of 3 months during the preparatory period to female fresh water teleosts exhibiting ovarian recrudescence, while a control group received 0.5 ml of physiological saline throughout the period of experimentation i.e., from February through April. 50 g clomiphene citrate treatment brought about a steady increase in ovarian size, and oocytes began to enlarge and mature and finally ovulation took place in April. Summary The discovery of new variants of saffron with increased number of stigmas has been reported, and the different possibilities underlying these variations are discussed. Due to sexual sterility of saffron, it is suggested that if the observed variations prove to be genetically determined, the clones which may be developed could increase yield and reduce the cost of saffron production in the future.Acknowledgments.
