News Translation and Intercultural Communication

Challenges in translation can be approached from the perspective of intercultural communication, and translation also plays a major role in communication between cultures. The translators of news should be culture conscious and adopt flexible strategies in dealing with cultural differences. In news translation, the readability of the target language text counts the most.

Improved eavesdropping detection strategy based on four-particle cluster state in quantum direct communication protocol

In order to improve the eavesdropping detection efficiency in a two-step quantum direct communication protocol, an improved eavesdropping detection strategy using the four-particle cluster state is proposed, in which the four-particle cluster state is used to detect eavesdroppers. During the security analysis, the method of the entropy theory is introduced, and two detection strategies are compared quantitatively using the constraint between the information that the eavesdropper can obtain and the interference that has been introduced. If the eavesdroppers intend to obtain all information, the eavesdropping detection rate of the original two-step quantum direct communication protocol using EPR pair block as detection particles will be 50%; while the proposed strategy’s detection rate will be 75%. In the end, the security of the proposed protocol is discussed. The analysis results show that the eavesdropping detection strategy presented is more secure.

Learners have been found to vary considerably in both the overall frequency with which they employ strategies and the particular types of strategies they use. Factors which affect the choice of the strategies are many: degree of awareness, stage of learning, task requirements, teacher expectations, age, general learning style, personality traits, motivation level, and purpose for learning the language. For example, highly motivated learners may use a greater range of appropriate strategies than less motivated ones do. Older learners may use different strategies than the younger ones in performing the same learning task. Therefore, an awareness of these factors is the key step to help learners to choose the strategies properly.

Parameter optimization of nodes communication is the foundation of underwater sensor networks.The packet size is an important indicator of the impact of communication performance.As a result,the optimal packet size selection is a critical issue in improving the communication performance.This paper aims to make a model reflecting the communication characteristics as the optimization target,because underwater sensor networks have the characteristics of high time delay,high energy consumption and high bit error rate.Finally,simulation experiments and theory have demonstrated the effectiveness and timeliness of simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation(SPSA) algorithm.     

How to Improve Communicative Competence of EFL Teacher in the Classroom

The modern teaching principles regard teaching process as the one of teacher-student communication,interaction and development. Some scholars therefore suggest that communication is the essence of teaching. Classroom communication is of great practical significance for education. However,a present empirical study shows that the current situation of teacher-student relations and communication in the EFL classroom is not satisfied enough. The teachers’communicative competence in the classroom needs to be improved. Based on factors that affect the teacher-student communication and the suggestion of the present empirical study,this paper suggests 5 ways to improve the classroom communicative competence of EFL teachers: 1) Teachers need to reconstruct and internalize the notion of modern educational communication; 2) Teachers need to apply appropriate teaching methods and teaching techniques; 3) Teachers need to well harmonize the relations between democracy and authority; 4) Teachers need to equally com-municate with all students and respect them; 5) Teachers need to create a communicative teaching environment. In this way we can facilitate the overall development of students.

The majority of the previous work on the mating strategies of the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana), a polygynous species, has concentrated on the character of sexual behavior between heterosexual individuals, mating patterns, and the seasonality of mating and births in captivity and in wild. The importance of multiple copulations of them, both wild and captivity, has so far been neglected.
