Summary The monoamineoxidase of the mitochondria of rat liver may be dissolved up to 50% of the initial activity by treatment with a tensioactive agent followed by ultracentrifugation. The best experimental conditions are obtained with 0.2% of sodium laurylsulphate (pH 7) during 1 h at + 2°C.     

Inhibition par les sels de tetrazolium de l'activité monoamine-oxydasique d'une suspension mitochondriale de cerveau de mouton

Summary 5 tetrazolium salts used in electronic microscopy are non-competitive inhibitors of monoaminoxidasic activity of a sheep's brain mitochondrial suspension. This inhibition indicates that special caution must be taken in using these salts for detection of monoamine oxidase in optic or electronic microscopy.     

Ultrastructure de la thyroïde humaine

Summary The ultrastructural changes of the thyroid were studied in Basedow disease and nodular goitre. We observed the important and different changes concerning the ultrastructural pattern of microvillis, secretory droplets, endoplasmatic reticulum and mitochondria. This study throws some light upon human thyroid histophysiology.

Étude de l'activité in vitro de la glycogène phosphorylase de la Carpe (Cyprinus carpio L.)

Summary In this paper we give some values of glycogen phosphorylase activity of heart, red muscle and white muscle from the Carp. We show that in vitro optimum temperature is 25°C for the fish, and not 30°C as in Mammalians. We also made measurements with rat and tench liver, but it has been impossible, under the same experimental conditions, to observe normal release of inorganic phosphorus from G-1-P with carp liver.

Action de la piqûre et de l'eau distillée sur le développement de l'embryon de poulet

Summary The authors have tested the action of injection of distilled water (1/20, 1/10, 1/2 and 1 cm³) on the development of the chick embryo. These injections were made at different moments of incubation. The two largest doses cause marked early mortality of embryos; when the doses are smaller, the lethal action is very slight. Distilled water has no teratogenic action: teratogenic action for the smallest doses is nil, and very little for the largest doses. The puncture alone of the egg has neither lethal nor teratogenic action.

Summary The -amylase of hog pancreas has been purified and the degree of purity controled by electrophoresis. The active substance is a protein which can dissociate in an unstable high molecular component and a thermostable component of low molecular weight.     

Les effets de l'autotransplantation préportale de la thyroïde chez la Rate

Zusammenfassung 90 Tage nach einer in der Gegend der Pfortader erfolgten Autotransplantation der Schilddrüse bei weiblichen Albinoratten zeigt die histologische Untersuchung der Transplantate alle Zeichen einer gesteigerten Tätigkeit. Dem entgegengesetzt befinden sich Nebenniere, Leber und Hypophysis in dem als Folge der Schilddrüsenextirpation beschriebenen Zustand. Dieser scheinbare Widerspruch stützt die Annahme einer Inaktivierung des Schilddrüsenhormons durch die Leber.     

Etude électrophorétique des variations de composition d'extraits musculaires de Lapin sous l'influence de la fatigue et de la contracture par le monobromacétate de soude

Summary Rabbit muscular globulins soluble between the ionic strengths 0.15 and 0.35 are, in an almost native state, the and myosins ofDubuisson. The extractability of both, and, by salt solutions is greatly reduced when the rabbit muscle has been stimulated to exhaustion or poisoned with the sodium salt of monobromacetic acid till a state of rigor is obtained. This reduction however does not proceed in an absolutely similar way for and, indicating probable functional differences between these two myosins. The other soluble muscular proteins are practically not affected, as far as the method permits this to be assertained.     

Etude comparative sur l'action de différents liquides (eau distillée,solution physiologique de chlorure de sodium,liquide de Tyrode) sur le développement de l'embryon de poulet

Summary The injection of small doses of distilled water, physiological solution of natrium chloride and liquid of Tyrode, is well tolerated by the embryos; large doses have a stronger lethal action. The three liquids have no specific teratogenic action. The injection of 1/10 cm³ of Tyrode at the 24th h of incubation seems to be the quantity of solvent and the period for the injection which are ideal for testing the effects of an hydrosoluble substance in the chick embryo.

Cristallisation de l'α-amylase de pancréas

Summary In a series of 32 urinary calculi, examined with X-rays and microscope, 2 were found to consist of hydroxylapatite, 4 of whewellite, 4 of struvite and 15 of uric acid. 4 stones contained two minerals: apatite + brushite, apatite + whewellite and both hydrates of Ca-oxalate.     

Transplantations d'ébauches gonadiques de Souris dans la cavité coelomique de l'embryon de Poulet

Summary Mouse gonad primordia have been transplanted into the coelomic cavity of chick embryos. Testicular and ovarian differentiations have been obtained. Intersexuality in the hosts did not occur.     

Localisation de dioctyl-phtalate sur les immunoglobulines G normales et sur celles de la maladie de Kahler

Summary After having identified as dioctyl-phthalate (DOP), a plasticizer that comes out with fatty acids of normal immunoglobulins G (IgG) and of those of Kahler's disease, we found out that DOP is preferentially bound to the heavy chains of the IgG and is either missing from myeloma proteins or more abundant in them than in normal ones.
